The Tassel Bobble by Balenciaga! They call it a keychain, but as you can see in the picture it looks pretty darn fabulous attached to one of your favorite Balenciaga bags. This chunky piece is designed with dozens of folded over leather strands, and if that wasn’t enough, the design also features a couple dangling little strands of Balenciaga’s signature long tassels. And to top it off, Balenciaga’s signature hardware including a non-functional zipper. The zipper is for looks only, but wouldn’t it be much more fabulous if it was some sort of mini pouch. There would be some function there rather than just looks. Still cute though.

Oh my gosh, where has the semester gone? Spring Break is just around the corner, meaning the semester is already half over. Now if only it felt like it was Spring outside! Oh well, I suppose I could always go somewhere warm for Spring Break.

Now all this talk about Spring Break has gotten me in the mood for some warm weather accessories! How about beach totes? Nothing screams fun-in-the-sun like a straw or raffia beach tote! I love the tapered styles too! I’m not sure why though, something about the shape just calls to me. Interestingly, what I’ve found while browsing around for these babies is that bright shades of pink really seem to be popular this season. Pink is such a fun color though, so that is totally okay with me! I picked out a few of my favorites to share with all of you. Best of all, there is a little something for everyone here. Katie Holmes sure looked like she was feeling a bit chilly last Sunday! Accompanied by her hubby (Tom Cruise) and daughter (Suri), the 32 year old actress was enjoying a night out in New York City. Her look for the evening was casual, yet chic. I love her extra-long peacoat and simple suede boots, both in black. What caught my eye the most, however, was the Balenciaga Matelasse Handbag hooked on her arm! Interestingly, she chose this chocolate brown piece to compliment her black/gray outfit. Nice!

I am quickly becoming a serious Balanciaga fan. My Theresa has such a wonderful selection to peruse with some of the less recognized styles to enjoy. The Giant Stitch Bag is a gorgeous style you can find on the site. And it’s available in two lovely colors; vert (pale green) and nacre (powder white).

The bag has a beautiful, softly rounded rectanglular shape with large whip stiches around the edges of the bag. The 48″ extra-skinny, shoulder-strap is detachable so you can carry the bag as an over-sized clutch. The leather on the bag is textured for a more distressed look. This bag features the Balenciaga styling of the tiny front zippered pocket with buckle detail on the corners. A double snap closure with a leather framed mirror are nice touches.
