The House of Burberry never falls short of adding some kind of unusual feature to their signature collection, in attempt to spice up the classic check print. In the past, we’ve seen both miniature and bold check lines, in a variety of hues and funky patterns such as what we saw in their Check Heart Satchel.

New to this season, Burberry’s twist on its classic signature is literally twisted. What a way to change the look of a bag by grabbing its ruched cotton material by the hand full and creating some type of curtain or home furnishing feel. Personally, I find the idea of changing things up a bit is always great, but if not successfully done for the better, it might appear as a bad knockoff or designer inspired piece. Of course when you’re spending $750 on such a bag, the last thing you want is for another bagista to question the authenticity of your handbag. A lovely sophisticated shape this small/medium pouch carries, as it’s just the size for your most important needs, and the thick rolled leather handle adds a classy feel to this shoulder bag. What’s your input on this Burberry? For $750, I’d be much better off with the appeal of the classic print rather than something so trendy.

Here’s the ultimate Valentines Day accessory by the House of Burberry. Normally I would avoid a handbag with heart prints on it completely, but there’s something eye catching about this satchel. The heart prints aren’t too impressive as its shape is quite wide and it’s color dull but if gifting hearts is your idea for this Valentines, why not skip the heart shaped jewelry and try a designer bag instead. Traditional Burberry check pattern arrives lined in a rich berry red patent leather that’s probably the reason why this satchel stands out so much. This roomy bag arrives in a great size that’ll take you from that Valentines dinner to your shopping escapade the very next day. Extra dangling hearts adds more charm to this satchel, or if you choose, they can easily be detached.

This trendy satchel arrives with a price tag of $650, which gets me thinking if I would actually carry this satchel enough to get my money’s worth. More likely, I’d carry it throughout the month of February and once the celebrations come to an end, I’d tuck it in my closet until the following year. For those of you ladies out there who haven’t heard, I have a new nephew. He is just barely 3 months old now and he is still so very tiny (a complete opposite of his sister when she was a baby)! He looks like a cute little monkey and, of course, he is very special because his is the only little boy in our family. But there’s just one little problem… he spits up like there is no tomorrow! Burberry Painted Hearts Shoulder Bag

It’s my pleasure to present to you Bagsita’s this collaborated piece by Burberry and Dooney & Bourke!

Ok… I’m totally kidding, but doesn’t this look like something both teams could possibly craft together? I had to stare at this shoulder bag for a couple of seconds just to find its inner Burberry. Who’s idea was this? Better yet, what inspired Burberry to follow the juvenile trend Dooney has been creating for years.

This little shoulder bag, ideal for a night out, features an informal crescent shaped body, lined in the famous check pattern that us Burberry fans simply adore. What I’m on the fence about is that blotch of messy looking hearts that overlap each other; they practically take up the entire bag! More heart shaped features can be found in charm form dangling off a single side of this “fun” bag.

Pretty red patent leather lines this piece and constructs the single flat shoulder strap found on this Burberry. Personally speaking here, I’m done with childish looking accessories as I’ve been seeking more classic, year-round bags instead. Then again it’s never too early to shop for your Valentines 2010 evening bag.

Gift Ideas: Designer Wallets for Him

It’s that time of year again! The leaves have fallen and the weather is turning colder. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will be here before we know it! Oh my, where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday that I was having to remember to write 09, instead of 08, when writing the date on my checks.

With the days passing by so quickly, it may be a good idea to start thinking of potential Christmas gifts for that special someone. Nothing, in my opinion, is worse than waiting until the last minute. So what do you think ladies? Would your significant other enjoy a new wallet this year? Personally, I think my husband could use a new one. Of course, he would probably disagree with that. Something can be completely worn out and he will still refuse to get rid of it. But don’t worry ladies, I can be very persuasive when I need to be. Hehe… I’ll simply throw it out myself when he’s not looking! Okay, okay, maybe I won’t.

Burberry Weekender

I’ve been looking for quite some time, for a designer travel bag. I love the Louis Vuitton “Keepall” bags, but I kind of wanted something black. Using a bag as a travel bag can get dirty very easily especially if you travel a lot. My travel bags are notorious for getting fifty, so I knew a Louis Vuitton “Keepall” was definitely out of the question for me.

I have a black travel bag now, and you can’t even notice the wear and tear on it. I use it constantly, and for it to still look brand new is amazing.

When I spotted the Burberry “Weekender” Bag, I was in love! It was everything I was looking for in a designer travel bag! It was black, the perfect size, and came with a shoulder strap. I tend to carry a lot of shoes in my travel bags, so a shoulder strap is always a must.

It doesn’t look like you would be able to fit much in this bag, but I do think it would be a great carry on bag. Face it, nowadays you can’t have a big carry on bag to bring with you on the plane. If you can find a bag that can hold some clothes, shoes, and personal items then you got a winner. When a travel bag can do all that, plus be made by one of your favorite designer’s then that makes it all the more reason to buy it! Right?

The Burberry “Weekender” Bag can be purchased at Nordstrom for $795, which I believe is a great price for this bag. It’s not very often you can find a designer travel bag below $1,000 and that is a fact! It’s pretty, simple, and does justice for what you need it for. I give Burberry a “thumbs up” for designing this beautiful piece!

Burberry Check Print Canvas & Barbed Wire Tote

I’ve never been a fan of Burberry, in fact I always despised Burberry. I’m one of these people that hates anything plaid. To me, plaid looks like a bunch of railroad tracks that is somehow considered fashionable. I will admit though, that I have liked some Burberry handbags over the years but not enough or me to purchase them.

As of today, I may have had a slight change of heart about Burberry and plaid. I discovered one of the prettiest Burberry handbags I’ve ever seen and it’s plaid! The bag is called the Burberry “Check Print Canvas Tote” and it’s sensational.

The pleating on the front of the bag immediately reminded me of the Louis Vuitton “Trevi”, which just so happens to be one of my favorite handbags of all time. Being that the bag as a whole is dark colored, it makes the plaid compliment the bag well. Sometimes when plaid is on light colors it can make anything look like a train wreck!

I don’t quite understand the point of the chain on this bag, but I suppose the dark color of the chain also goes great with the bag. This would be a great Fall handbag for any fashionista. A lot of people tend to wear a lot of brown in the Fall, and this handbag would match their outfits perfectly. Overall, this really is a stunning bag.

The Burberry “Check Print Canvas Tote” can be purchased at Nordstrom for $1,395. I’m not sure if I would ever pay that much for a Burberry bag, but it may just be worth it for this particular bag. I crown this one of the most beautiful Fall handbags I have seen yet! If you’ve never been a fan of Burberry, this handbag just may change your mind like it did to me!

Burberry Raffia Patchwork Shopper

When I get a new bag, I look forward to breaking it in with wear. I also stay cautious of stains, scratches, and water; I’m pretty sure I’m not alone. I own a particular Coach bag that I used for quite some time a couple of years ago, and being made of white cotton, it was simply a dirt magnet. I ignored the flaws of stains and dirt, but pretty soon, I realized it was time to retire it. Nobody wants to carry a bag that looks beyond used or ancient, but over at the House of Burberry, they obviously have a different outlook.

Meet the Burberry Raffia Shopper. It’s distressed, deconstructed, and made of textured raffia swatches. At first, I thought it was reptile skin swatches, but instead, it appears to be small weaves of leather. I admire the artistic concept of the shopper, but other than that, I won’t be running to any Burberry shop to grab this piece. As a brand new bag it already appears in bad condition, I can only imagine how it would look with age. Ladies what’s your input on this Burberry, do you like this?
