Christian Dior Jazzclub Zebra Flapped Bag
Christian Dior’s new Jazzclub collection is as hot as its latest ad. I swear when I saw the Runway Dior Jazzclub Zebra Flapped Bag (pictured above), I was totally psyched out in awe! I’m usually not an animal print fanatic, but on this bag, Dior definitely accomplished an excellent combination of trendy zebra print on a great classic flap bag. In the past and up until present time, I’ve seen a couple of designers apply animal prints on their accessories, in attempt to make a great and eye-catching handbag. Some succeeded but most didn’t, problem being that their designs were either a bit to mature, or way too graphic, (I’m referring graphic to those, I-just-skinned-a-carcass-and-I’m-wearing-it, bags).

Although many can agree that “zebra” is just another trendy print, I feel that this bag can remain modern for quite some period of time. First of all, the basic hues of black and white allow versatility among different colors of clothing. The large amount of silver plated hardware found throughout the handbag, gives off such a classic and sophisticated look. I must say that this Dior Runway flap, by far, carries the best-looking zebra print on a handbag. Safari Bags
Ohhhh…take me to the jungle! One of Spring’s hottest trends is the safari look. From khaki clothing to woven wedges, wooden bangles, and animal print bags, the safari look is all over the place. Prints like zebra, cheetah, giraffe, and leopard and textures like crocodile and snakeskin leathers adorn this season’s hottest bags.

The first bag featured is the Michael Kors Large North/South Tote. This bag is made of giraffe printed canvas with grain leather trim and brush metal hardware. It retails at a fair $298 and is large enough to fit all the necessities and even good enough to take on a jungle expedition. The second bag featured is the Fendi Extra Large Fringed Zebra Baguette Tote and retails at a more hefty $5,420. The bag consists of zebra printed pony hair and leather fringe. This bag is wild and fun. The multicolor fringe gives sets it apart from the typical zebra print. The third bag featured is the Dior Runway Dior Jazzclub Zebra Flapped Bag and retails at $3,510. This may be my favorite of the bunch. It is funky and captures the trendy safari theme but still remains chic and sophisticated. This bag is very versatile and can be worn with a khaki, safari inspired outfit or with a little black dress. The final bag featured is the Loeffler Randall Snakeskin-Stamped Envelope Clutch. This bag is made of Shiny snakeskin-embossed leather and features polished gold metal hardware. It is the perfect little safari clutch and may even fit some bug spray for those humid nights in the jungle!

Pretty in Fuchsia: The Dior Ethnic Large Hobo Bag
I must admit…seeing this shade of pink made me feel all sorts of excitement inside. The little girl in me jumped out and screamed “I must have this!!” Call me a girly girl, even call me a pink lover but this bag caught my eye as it will many other fashionistas this spring.

It is the Ethnic Large Hobo Bag by Christian Dior in Fuchsia. While the color is vibrant and exciting, the bag itself is not typical Dior. It is not traditional or classic and does not have distinct chains or buckles on it. At first glance you may think it’s a Betsy Johnson or Juicy Couture bag with the color, shape, and heart details. All of the designers this spring seem to be going in this direction…fun colors and flirty styles. I think this is a great bag to brighten up your wardrobe. This spring’s fashions lines seem to be full of splashes of color and this bag will fit in perfectly.

This Dior bag brings out the girly girl in all of us. You can’t help but feel pretty and feminine when carrying a bag of this shade. Every girl looks pretty in pink.

Designer Purse Deal: The Kooba Nina & Meredith Handbag
Finally eluxury updated their stock of unsold designer handbags in the sale section by adding a range of purses priced up to 60% off. A couple of the gems in the crowd that left me questioning how it’s possible this bag didn’t sell out last year when it was introduced are both by Kooba, the small sized Nina and the large Meredith large shoulder bag. This beauty is dressed in fine nubuck leather with aged gold metal hardware and overcast stitch whipstitch details throughout. This framed purse also features metal feet (I hate purse hangers), a small front flap with nubuck and inset link chain pull tab (pull tab tucks into front band). The mouth of the bag is kept shut with the zip top closure which slides open to reveal the logo jaquard lining and one interior zip pocket. Purse Deal: Christian Dior Rebelle Handbags Clearance
It’s official the Christian Dior Rebelle Handbags have crossed the line and enter the neighborhood of unwanted handbags where they remain un-purchased in the clearance section of almost all designer department stores (except Bergdorf). Sad but true news. I don’t know about you guys and girls but it’s absolutely frustrating when this occurs. I don’t want to see any of my bags in the markdown section months after purchase, but I sort of predicted this was going to happen with the Rebelle handbags. It’s a nice bag, okay style, lots of pockets and hardware on the vintage-ey look body but there’s just something about the over all styling where I just knew that this bag wasn’t going to be a smash like it’s sisters – the Gaucho or Jeanne bags.

The Dior Rebelle handbags were produced in a variety of styles from small messenger style hobos to large north-south style shopper totes (with the handheld satchel in between). The features on this collection which are most memorable include lots of antique silver metal hardware, front flap with large signature (to the collection) leash-style clasp closure, and ultra-convenient cargo-style pockets on the sides of the aged calfskin body.
