Christian Dior Panerea Tote in Quilted Fuchsia!

Christian Dior Panerea Tote in fuchsia

Most of us Bagista’s are quite familiar with Christian Dior’s spacious shopper totes and throughout the seasons, we’ve seen the modification of the different textures and colors on these handy totes.

For S/S ’10, Dior presents a quilted coated canvas in the stunning shade of fuchsia. I could settle with quilted coated canvas, but when it comes to this Dior style, rich leather would have been my pick.

Dita Von Teese Style: Dior Samourai Woven Framed Bag

Dita Von Teese Style: Dior Samourai Woven Framed Bag
Looking at the picture above and just make a wild guess which luggage belongs to the burlesque beauty. It would have to be the Globe Trotter Luggage and Louis Vuitton carry-ons trailing along behind her – I love it!

Dita was seen arriving at Roissy airport in Paris earlier this week. For the occasion, she’s carrying her Dior Samourai Woven Framed Bag.

Dior Babe Bag in Python

dior handbags: Dior Babe Bag in Python
Lately, I have been obsessing over exotic leathers. They can really make a regular designer handbag look that much more amazing. The Dior “Babe Python” Frame Bag recently caught my eye. It’s simply a cute evening bad, that is dressed up in this gorgeous python skin. I can totally envision wearing a gold, silver, or black dress with this bag. This is definitely the type of bag that no matter what you wear, it pops out at you.

What I love most about this bag is that it comes with a detachable coin purse that matches the bag. I think that it so cute that not only do you get this stunning bag but you get a little cute accessory to go with your purchase. Face it, it’s the least they can do for the amount of money you pay for an exotic bag.

I currently do not own any snakeskin bag’s. I was once told at a Michael Kors store that snakeskin is very hard to maintain because it starts flaking after a while. Genuine snakeskin bags are always in the thousand’s range, and for them to flake after a while does sounds pretty awful after all the money you invest in them. They are gorgeous bags, but if a bag isn’t going to last as long as a regular leather bag is it really worth it? Is all the beauty and high maintenance of a bag make it really worth all those thousands you put into it? I definitely don’t think so.

The Dior “Babe Python” Frame Bag can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue for $6,550. This bag is beautiful, but it’s not worth the price. I want to be able to carry a bag around whenever I want. If I have to be extra careful with a bag, and not carry it around much because of it being so high maintenance it’s not worth the high price to me then. Overall though, this bag is stunning.

Christian Dior Two-Textured Bag

Christian Dior Two-Textured Bag
Extra stiff and bringing in some serious bling is the Two-Textured Leather Satchel by Christian Dior. A feminine crescent shaped shoulder bag is produced with an assortment of pleated pebbled and crocodile textured leathers. You either love, hate or simply don’t mind the array of different leathers, but what stands out above all has got to be the numerous amount of studs and hardware found on this single piece. Over decorated with grommets and buckles, I can’t decide whether I find this piece to be tasteful or tacky. I’m the kind of Bagista that likes hardware and shine on my handbags, but designers do tend to go overboard every once in a while on décor, and unfortunately, I think this bulky satchel happens to be yet another victim of this abuse.
Christian Dior Two-Textured Leather Satchel
After multiple views and never ending grommet appliqué, I’ve decided this bag is a nay in my book. Somehow, the excessive décor tends to cheapen the value of this $2,950 couture satchel. Ladies what’s your input on this handbag, would you buy this?

Dior Homme Spring 2009 Man Bags (murses)

Dior Homme Spring 2009 Man Bags
Dior Homme Spring 2009 accessories have arrived and so far, I’m liking everything. They’re simple, sleek, and available for purchase via eLuxury (dot com).

First up is the bag for the man who isn’t afraid to carry the unusual; meet the Zip Top Shopper. I like how structured this shopper is and it’s obviously perfect for the man with many essentials. It’s a good size to carry books, a personal computer and more.

The Vertical Messenger Bag is a more common style and has a more casual look to it. It’s a bit low key, and the choice for the man who chooses to carry the standard style.

Don’t like the vertical look, how about the horizontal Asymmetrical Zip Messenger Bag. It’s unique, modern, and stylish. I’m digging the slanted pocket with zipper, the flat shoulder strap with push lock closure and all the other cool details found on this irregular bag.

The Patent Messenger Bag is perfect for the man who isn’t afraid of some shine. Crossover bands keeps this bag shut while it adds character to it as well.

Notice the circular detail found on these bags? They’re purposely made slits for your iPod cord to go through. Such a simple concept yet its neat and functional.

Dior CDBee Cannage Tote

Dior CDBee Cannage Tote
Ultra classic and stylish is the CDBee Cannage Deerskin Tote by no other than Christian Dior. Gosh, I say its about time The House of Dior presents to us Bagista’s something to awe over. I speak for myself when I state that for the past couple of seasons, Dior failed to impress me much with their handbag designs. Of course, I’ve always admired the designer name all together, but somehow, I felt like everything being released seemed just… great. So here is something quite simple, but definitely something I would wear. A large black tote with the infamous Cannage signature lining the bag at its sides. I love how its overall embroidered leather isn’t overdone or too busy. Minimal gold metal hardware including oversized grommets gives character to the tote, without blinging it out much. Dior doesn’t fail to add feet to prevent leather scuffs and of course, the fun dangling “DIOR” charms. Wonder why this tote carries the name CDBee? In case you can’t see it, an enameled Bee charm can be found dangling in the same place the DIOR letters are. What’s its purpose? I have no idea, but if you’re a fan of Bee’s, you’ll find this detail quite charming.
