If you are on Coach’s mailing list like I am, then you probably received an e-mail a few days ago telling you to check out the new Kristin Collection.

I don’t know about you, but I have been glued to Coach’s official website ever since that e-mail arrived in my mailbox. The entire collection has really piqued my interest, I like the pretty colors and all the new shapes. In fact, the whole collection really puts me in the mood for Easter!

There are several styles within the Kristin Collection that seem to be calling my name, but I think my favorite has to be the Coach Kristin Rouched Leather Drawstring Hobo.

This bag is just so elegant, I really love the gentle pleating and the delicate drawstring detail. This bag is made of Coach’s new Juno leather. This scrumptious leather is a gently tumbled, fine-grained cowhide. This leather is so soft, you will swear that it is a bag that has already been broken in and well-loved! I also love the nice crescent shape this bag has, it just looks like it would conform nicely to your body.

This would make a great everyday handbag and it would make a wonderful addition to just about anyone’s Spring wardrobe!

Sandra Bullock teams up with Coach for Charity

Sandra Bullock, who recently donated $1 million to the relief efforts in Haiti, has teamed up with Coach to benefit another one of her favorite charities: the Beauty Bus Foundation.

The Beauty Bus Foundation is a non profit organization that is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for home-bound, terminally or chronically ill patients and their caregivers. “We provide in-home beauty and grooming treatments, free of charge, to empower our clients, help them maintain dignity and give them respite during a difficult time. Our mission is to reach out to these compromised and isolated individuals and bring beauty into their lives in the comfort of their homes.”

When you purchase one of Sandra’s favorite picks, the Madison Tote (left) or Kristin (right), Coach will donate a percent to the charity.

It’s that time of year again! The leaves have fallen and the weather is turning colder. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will be here before we know it! Oh my, where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday that I was having to remember to write 09, instead of 08, when writing the date on my checks.

With the days passing by so quickly, it may be a good idea to start thinking of potential Christmas gifts for that special someone. Nothing, in my opinion, is worse than waiting until the last minute. So what do you think ladies? Would your significant other enjoy a new wallet this year? Personally, I think my husband could use a new one. Of course, he would probably disagree with that. Something can be completely worn out and he will still refuse to get rid of it. But don’t worry ladies, I can be very persuasive when I need to be. Hehe… I’ll simply throw it out myself when he’s not looking! Okay, okay, maybe I won’t.

Coach Wallet Finder: discover which wallet was made for you.

I just received a mailer in my box about Coach’s new Wallet Finder. Where they match you up with one of their wallets, based on some of your preference criteria, such as function, size, design, and materials.

Why not, lets give it a try. I’m dying to know which wallet Coach has lined up for me….

First question they ask: “What size are you looking for?”
I picked medium. Not a fan of wallets that are too small and get lost amongst the other accessories in my purse. Also not a fan of larger sizes. Don’t really need the card space.

Next question pops up: “Do you have a favorite wallet style?”
I would have checked ‘not really’, if they asked, but since it’s not an opinion, I went ahead and went with the Compact clutch. After hovering over to get the details of each, I decided that one has the most useful features for me.

Now for fabric: “Do you have a preference on fabrication?”
I sure do. Didn’t take me long to answer this one. Leather. Although I have to admit, I think Coach’s new leopard print fabric is pretty rad.

Time to pick the shade: “Choose a favorite color”
This question actually took me a while to answer. I am all for bright and bold small accessories. Little things that just burst in vibrant color is something I crave. However… that is not an option in Coach’s little Wallet Finder. So disappointed. The options: choose between brown/khaki or grey/black. Alright, I guess I will go with black.

*drum roll please* and Coach matched me up with the Gramercy Embossed Leather Compact Clutch.

Impressed, because out of all the wallets displayed on coach.com, this was indeed my pick. I love the quilting. And usually I am so not one for picking up a signature bag, but this wallet is pretty darn cute. And even though I didn’t get to pick a bright color for the exterior, what I love about this little piece is when popped open, reveals a pretty pink interior. Fabulous!

Target Sold a Fake Coach Purse. Gets Sued!

Target was just slapped with a new lawsuit by Coach Inc., accusing them of selling unauthorized reproductions of their handbags. This is the second time within three years that Coach has taken Target to court over the same intellectual property issue.

The bags mentioned in the lawsuit are Coach’s famous Ergo and Signature Patchwork purse collection.

in the news: Coach Sues Brown Shoe Co. for Naturalizer Ergo Knock-off

Coach is in the news once again involving a patent infringement, for another brand stealing one of their designs.

Last week Coach Inc. filed the suit against Brown Shoe Co. Inc., accusing the footwear firm of mirroring one of Coach’s handbag designs, the Ergo.

WWD is reports: “In a complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan on May 29, Coach accuses the retailer of selling what is “virtually an exact copy” of its Ergo Pleat handbag in the Naturalizer chain of stores. Coach began selling the Ergo Pleat bag in 2007 and patented it in December 2008. Brown Shoe did not return a call seeking comment. Coach is seeking an injunction, profits it would have made and any profits Brown Shoe made off the patent as well as other unspecified damages.”

When I went to the Naturalizer home site I didn’t see the bag they were referring to in the lawsuit, however I did spot a couple styles that looked incredibly familiar to other designers. (to name a few – ysl, f+c, and more)

Coach Ali Hobo Bag

I was checking out what was new at Coach the other day when I stumbled across the Ali Collection. According to Coach, “this summer is all about Ali”. The collection offers a new take on the classic hobo style, with each piece having it’s own unique little twist. All of the bags in the Ali Collection, however, are adorned with a pierced signature C medallion charm that resembles a jewelry line Coach introduced not too long ago.

Out of all of the handbags that make up Coach’s Ali Collection, I think I like the Ali Large Hobo the best. I like how nicely the leather on this bag slouches, creating almost a draped effect. The leather on these bags is just amazing and I especially love the pearlized finish that the Tangerine version possesses. So soft and yummy! This bag would be perfect for someone wishing to pull off a boho-chic look without having to commit to a bag with fringes, beads, or studs. In other words, there is no need to worry about this bag going out of style once all those trends have faded. Sounds like a win-win situation to me!

The Coach Ali Large Hobo measures 16″ x 13.5″ x 5.5″ and it retails for $378. The bag comes complete with a detachable long shoulder strap. Coach brings out the Metallics: Legacy North-South Tote

It’s not every day that I come across a Coach bag that I really like. But, in my opinion, Coach has been doing so much better with their designs lately. So much so, in fact, that I find myself spotting several bags I like every time I take a peek at what’s new. So what have I found this time around? Meet the Coach Metallic Legacy North-South Tote. It is both practical and stylish, not to mention it looks like it would make a great work tote. I love the contrasting trim and flap pockets on the front. Plus the pretty metallic colors are fabulous! The only thing that worries me is the rolled leather handles. I think I would need to try this bag on to see how they feel first. But, all in all, this looks like a pretty good bag from Coach. Did you hear that, Coach? Keep up the good work!

The Coach Signature Stripe collection has been around for quite sometime now, but now there is a new color in collection. The new color in the collection is a mix of Brass, Khaki, and Pink and it’s actually quite pretty! The blend of the three colors together compliments the satchel very well I must say!

I have always been drawn to the Coach Signature Stripe Satchel because it kind of reminds me of a Louis Vuitton Speedy 30. They both have that same shape and style but of course the Coach satchel is much more affordable than the fabulous Louis Vuitton Speedy.

The Coach Signature Stripe Satchel has the measurements of 12 (L) x 7 3/4 (H) which is very close to the measurements of the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30. Being that the measurements are so close to the Speedy, we can concur that this handbag has plenty of room for all of your stylish essentials and more! Other amazing features of the handbag include: two exterior pockets; zip top closure; coated signature print fabric with leather trim; fabric lining; and 18″ straps.

COACH Penelope OP Art Suitcase

What type of luggage do you Bagista’s carry? Unfortunately, the most attractive feature found on my carry-on is the fact that it comes in my favorite color of black. I’ve always wanted to give into designer luggage, but I’m not your typical traveler, with that said, spending big bucks on an everyday handbag seems much more reasonable for me. The All-American brand Coach introduces a new good featured within their new Penelope line; meet the OP Art Suitcase. I don’t recall Coach doing suitcases in the past, briefcases for men, yes, but not luggage. So here’s something really new to Coach; OP art canvas lines the exterior of the case as black leather trim decors it as well. Some of my favorite details includes a lock closure consisting of a numerical combination and the bold hot pink interior which adds that perfect finishing touch to this travel piece. Luggage prices can run pretty high and this Coach leaves no exceptions. You can find the medium version for $1,200 or for $300 more, you can get the largest case which measures in at 27’’ x 18” x 8.5”! Ladies, what’s your input toward Coach’s new Suitcase, Do you like this?
