Emilio Pucci began his iconic line in 1947 when a photo of a snowsuit he had designed for a friend ended up on the pages of Harper’s Bazaar. Today, we associate bold psychadelic prints and more recently sleek shapes with geometric cutouts that grace the most beautiful bodies in the world.
Making a statement comes naturally to the brand and I see a major one with the Media Flap Bag. What could have become an ultra-conservative bag is transformed with exquisite detailing. A bold chain strap with leather shoulder pad, silver grommets and rings give this bag sophisticated edge. It’s not grunge rock, but elegance meets edge.
I adore this Emilio Pucci Print. Alot of people associate Emilio Pucci’s signature bold, colorful psychedelic prints with summer, but the blue and purple colors of this version in particular is one that’s perfect for the transition from summer to fall. You can use it as a beach bag today, then in a couple months from now use it as a weekend or day tote! The body of the bag is made of durable grained leather, so it’s very durable. I was thrilled when I ran into this tote bag by Emilio Pucci, thank goodness for prints this fall.
A while back I mentioned to you Bagista’s one of the latest pieces to hit the Pucci rack, it was this not so pretty Emilio Pucci Denim Bag. How could I have doubted the House of Pucci, of course they we’re going to feed us some fun and modern prints for the coming season.
Vibrant golds with classic black prints are found on the Large Printed Canvas Tote. The prints create an illusion of oversized florals and the distressed appearance creates a vintage vibe to this tote. Besides the updated prints the bag itself seems to have a new look to it. The common canvas Pucci tote lacked the zipped top and exterior pockets that can be found on this newbie, and of course, theirs no complaining to that.
Although this piece is not yet available for sale (you can pre-order it instead), I won’t be looking forward to obtaining this tote bag for fall. It’s the cheery colors and flower prints that screams summer to me, as I’d rather give into a luscious dark leather bag with studs instead. I tend to browse my local Pucci retail shop from time to time to feed on the latest prints and colors. Rarely they come simple and neutral, but most of the time Emilio Pucci’s infamous prints are pleasant as always. So it took me by surprise when I ran into the Denim Shoulder Bag, a newbie for fall. On this piece, the Pucci prints were replaced by dark denim lining, and the typical leather shoulder straps by chains. Grommets and links line the edges of the bag while light lambskin leather lines it’s interior. They definitely did a turn around with this shoulder bag, from the material of choice to every punk like detail.
Although this shoulder bag would add a nice rock star touch to your outfit, I have to say, I prefer elegant and fun Pucci prints to this denim shoulder bag. For the fans of this bag, I can see how those link straps fit nicely with the jean theme, and we all know how versatile denim can be. It’s something oddly different and new for the Pucci Fall collection.

So when I first saw this simple solid black patent tote I took a moment to think who the designer could be. There were no distinguishing signature marks are hardware which would point to who the designer was or anything. Then once the bag popped open, (bam!) I instantly knew this bag was created by none other than fabulous Emilio Pucci.
The silk lining interior is dressed in colorful pattern, a design much like what we see from the designers iconic scarf collection.
This super glossy patent tote features dual eye-catching leather handles, which are just the right size to carry on arm or over the shoulder. The mouth of this purse is kept secure with a single easy-access snap closure which pops open to reveal a pretty interior, lined in a vibrant Pucci printed silk lining. More info worth noting: Double handles, 6″ drop. 15.5″ width x 16.5″ height x 1″ depth.
