Foley & Corinna Moto Leather Hobo
by Deysa on June 13, 2009 11 comments
When I hear about moto style leather handbags, the first thing that comes to mind is luscious Balenciaga. It’s for the fact that the Italian based brand has such a high profile with their motorcycle line accessories, and most Bagista’s will agree on how great their handbags are. Recently, a popular American based brand has created a moto style collection of its own; meet the latest newbie in the Foley & Corinna collection, the Moto Leather Hobo.
From the looks of it, this hobo has got the rocker chic vibe to it. A slouchy silhouette that’s great for carelessly tossing over the shoulder, distressed leather, and a couple of sets of tassels that are bound to fly in the wind. I’ve never owned a Foley & Corinna leather bag, but from the looks of it, the leather looks pretty durable and thick. Various zipper details and buckles at the sides adorn the minimal detailed shoulder bag. The light café happens to be the only color available for the Moto hobo, which although it’s a nice warm hue, I’d most definitely prefer a more eye catching color. I wonder if theirs a plan to release different colors soon.

Foley + Corinna City Tote, a victim
by Jennifer on May 5, 2009 20 comments
The Foley + Corinna City tote is such a fabulous bag. With it’s two-in-one, clutch-to-tote design, it’s a no-brainer that this bag is such a hit.
What’s sad is lately Foley + Corinna handbags, especially the City, has been replicated by many counterfeiters, and it’s now common to see this bag along with other rip-off Vuittons and Prada’s on Canal Street. Even Forever21 is copying the design, which is nothing new when it is a popular style. No designer is safe.
Now for the surprise.. the bag above is actually not by Foley + Corinna. It is forever21’s plastic “Versatile Hobo Handbag”
< * gasps * >
It’s described as a perfect sized handbag to hold all your essentials. Details include an optional shoulder strap, two exterior zippered compartments with tassel zippers, two interior zippered compartments, and antique metal hardware. Hold it by the handles for a hobo handbag look or fold it and wear it on your shoulders. Sounds pretty identical to the Foley + Corinna City, don’t you agree?
The difference is not only the material (foley + corinna being made of leather while forever21 uses plastic), but the quality.
I understand the reason why someone would pick the F21 bag over the F+C, to save money right? But think of it in the long run. Do you want a bag that would last more than a season without fraying and falling apart in your hands? Or wouldn’t you like to have a bag that gets attention, in a positive way? You don’t want to be known as that girl that carries fakes!
Maybe these deals will set you in the right direction, and away from that fake F21:

Foley + Corinna Lady Knot Tote
by BrS on April 6, 2009 6 comments
I realize that not everyone out there is as bonkers for Foley + Corinna as I am. But when I saw this new style for Spring/Summer 2009, I just couldn’t resist writing about it! Introducing the Foley + Corinna Lady Knot Tote! Hot off the presses, this new style is a bit different from the typical Foley + Corinna bag. That’s right, it isn’t convertible AND it’s a tote bag. Wow, somebody sure is breaking away from their norm!
So how do I feel about this bag? I really like it! But not simply because it’s Foley + Corinna, but because it is also unique-looking. I like the tiered handles and how the base of each handle pierces through the side of the bag and is knotted into place. I also like the patent/matte leather combo, although I was really hoping for some fun colors for Spring. Actually, I hear they have a really pretty turquoise for this season! Oh well…
The Foley + Corinna Lady Knot Tote measures 21″ x 15″ x 3″ and it retails for $490. Find it at Piperlime, where it is available in Beige or Black. Bloomingdales also has this style in Chestnut.

Foley + Corinna Tie Dye Fold Over Clutch

If the Foley + Corinna Fold Over Clutch were available in a different color, other than Ombre, I would be head over heels for it. From the style of the clutch to the silvertone metal handles, everything about this clutch is stunning.
My favorite feature of the clutch is that, not only can it be worn as a clutch but it can also be unfolded to be carried as a handheld tote. Some other features of the clutch include an interior zip pocket as well as interior lining. The clutch is also made of soft leather making it easy for you to fold and unfold the clutch.
The measurements of the clutch folded are, 16.25″W x 7″H, making it a spacious clutch to carry your most important essentials. When the clutch is unfolded the measurements are, 11″H x 3″D, obviously giving you much more room than when it was folded.
Only downfall about the Foley + Corinna Women’s Fold Over Clutch, as mentioned above, is the color. The tie-dye like color and pattern of the clutch really takes away from the beauty of the piece, making it look like a total fashion error.

The Foley + Corinna Fold Over Clutch can be purchased at Bloomingdales for $390, which is a great price for this gorgeous clutch if it were available in a variety of colors, of course.

DEAL ALERT: Foley + Corinna The Rambler Shoulder Bag
by Marissa on March 23, 2009 7 comments
I’ve always been one into satchels, but when I come across a gorgeous shoulder bag I must pay my respects. Foley + Corinna has designed a stunning shoulder bag called The Rambler and it’s literally making me drool.
The Foley + Corinna Rambler Shoulder Bag is a spacious handbag that is made of beautiful patent leather. By the picture the bag you would think that it is some sort of brownish color, but according to the bag’s description, on Pink Mascara, it is actually glossy green. Green or not, the color featured on patent leather looks absolutely amazing.
Some features of “The Rambler” include: a front flap lock closure; gold hardware; buckles on the straps; and black canvas lining. Being that the handbag has a height of 12″ and a length of 19″, it’s safe to say that the handbag has plenty of room for all of your stylish essentials plus more!
If you absolute love the Foley + Corinna Rambler Shoulder Bag, you are in luck because it is currently on sale over at Pink Mascara for $382.20. The sale price is actually amazing, considering the handbag had an original price of $546. If you are looking for a handbag that is on sale and perfect for the rain, the Foley + Corinna Rambler Shoulder Bag may be a perfect bag to add to your collection.

Foley + Corinna Bar Clutch Bag

The Foley + Corinna Spring/Summer 2009 Collection is now available and, I must say, there are some very unique-looking bags this time around.
Pictured above is one of the bags I am referring to. Meet the Foley + Corinna Bar Clutch. No ladies, this isn’t a flag on a banner or a wine bottle gift bag — although it may resemble these things! Personally, my feelings about this clutch are still up in the air.
It’s eccentric, but certainly not in a bad way. I think this clutch would look best paired with something light, airy, and fun. The Foley + Corinna Bar Clutch is, in every way, a conversation piece. Everyone will be asking about this curious little bag with its zipper on its side.
So if you’re looking for something that will stand out from the crowd, then head on over to shopbop.com. There you will find it available in Black. It measures 7.5″ x 14.5″ and retails for $268.

The Clutch Trend: Choosing the Right Style For You
Clutches, clutches everywhere! As you may have already noticed, the latest handbag trend is clutches for everyday use. Yep, that’s right. Clutches are no longer an after-dark-only accessory. The new clutches are big enough to hold your essentials and then some. They are perfect for when you don’t want to lug around a large handbag. Running a quick errand? Just grab your clutch and go. Everything you’ll need will be right there at your fingertips. But even if you still want to carry your regular handbag around, you can still get use out of a clutch during the day. Simply replace you wallet with an appropriately-sized clutch and toss it inside your bag. Then if you decide to go out after work, all you have to do is pull your clutch out and you’re ready to go! Nothing says versatility more than the word “clutch”. So make sure to invest in a good one (or two, or three) this year. The convenience that they offer will be well worth it!
So you’ve decided to pick out a new clutch for Fall. However, with such a large selection out there, it may be difficult to find the right clutch for you. Summer is officially over. It’s time to wave goodbye to your shorts and flip flops. Unfortunately, you won’t be needing them any longer (Dang, I love my flip flops!). For me, I’m really sad to see the summer end. It is probably my most favorite season. There isn’t snow on the ground and my allergies aren’t driving me up the wall. Plus I just love those lazy afternoons, where there’s nothing to do but sit around and enjoy your sweetie’s company.
But there is something good about the changing of the seasons. What is that you ask? Why it is all those End-of-Season sales, of course! Right now at Shop Bop, they are having their Shiny New Sale and they have tons of great handbags marked down. Below are a few of my favorites. They are all discounted by at least 30%.
