Nude Bag Trend: Be&D, Alexander Wang, Foley+Corinna!

It’s just about that time of the year where we pull out our lighter colored handbags from the back of our closets and flaunt them out for the warmer months ahead. The straws and florals are always pleasant to the eye, but it’s the Neutral toned pieces that end up the winners year round.

The attractive hue dresses up any accessory, giving it an appealing feminine vibe. So it comes down to a matter of style and of course, the exact shade of the buff.

The Teague Bag by Be&D brings style and convertibility in a shade they call ‘Beach’. Glossy leather pleats and wrap around banding gives it a hip and modern look. It’s the ‘Tan & Nickle’ Rowan satchel that shows off a classier appeal as true top handles are always attractively chic. For some, it’s all about the more you have, the merrier.

Foley + Corinna Plated Bag

Foley + Corinna makes some beautiful bags with unique details and the pleated hobo is no exception. While it’s available in black, I am loving the gunmetal option. Every girl should have a beautiful metallic bag. It’s the perfect complement against denim. This shade of gunmetal would be equally beautiful with shades of white which is so on trend this season.

Even though it’s metallic, it is not restrictive as to what metals you can wear. There’s brass and silver tone geometric details with small flat studs. The rectangular plates vary in size and are used in interesting ways by layering and placing side by side. The unique geometric shape plays against typical hobo type of slouchy rounded edges. The geometric styling is also played out in the leather exterior. Triangular and trapezoid shaped piece are stitched together to create a subtle texture that further complements the styling.

Foley + Corinna Plated Hobo

Over the years, Foley + Corinna has managed to come up with some very unique handbag designs. I’m not talking about the well-known City Tote, as this style has practically become a household name. No, I’m talking about the interesting-looking styles that seem to pop up with each new collection. And one that caught my eye this season was the Foley + Corinna Plated Hobo you see pictured here!

Foley + Corinna Stripley Mid City

I’ve always been a fan of the Foley + Corinna City tote. Even though each bag looks relatively the same, just made in different sizes, it’s still a fabulous bag. The versatility of the bag is probably the best part about it. Being able to carry a bag two different ways is always a plus in my book and makes it worth the money a little more.

The “Stripley” Mid City Tote caught my eye strictly because of the banding featured all over it. It gave the tote more of a “rocker” look, which I’m obsessed with. Not only does the banding give it that edgy look, but it can also pass as being asymmetrical, which we all know has been a huge trend this year.

Foley + Corinna Lucky Bunny

We have pretty much hit the season where fur textiles populate the handbag racks and the contemporary brand of Foley + Corinna isn’t lingering behind. The fur trend is somewhat new to the American brand, but F+C’s Bunny Luck Pouch is just making its debut. I think whether you’re a fan of fur or not, you’ll sway on the side that agrees that this is one unattractive fur bag. Sure it’s trendy and can be easily contributed to your winter wardrobe, but it’s not the most attractive piece out there. This is an obvious example of how attaching fur on a handbag doesn’t automatically make an accessory luxurious.

Foley + Corinna Bio

It was their mutual love for fashion that brought Dana Foley and Anna Corinna together. The two met at a flea market, where Dana was selling her own, original designs and Anna was selling vintage clothing. From there, a friendship was quickly formed and their company was soon born! Foley + Corinna is known for combining vintage and modern style in a way that seems almost effortless. Their styles are a perfect mix of sophistication, sexiness, and fun. Their most widely recognized style is the City Tote, which is now available in a variety of sizes (Mini, Mid, etc) and colors.
