Vintage Monday kicked off today over at BillionDollarBabes featuring Gucci! They always have such an amazing selection of designers, marked 70%+ off retail. Last Monday they featured Louis Vuitton, then when you thought all the bags were sold out, the next day they add even more bags to the sale. So who knows, maybe we will get lucky again.
Just found this flier in my mail box saying that everything over at Bluefly is on sale for an additional 10% off – but it’s for today only! Shoes, jewelry, and accessories too, but because this is the bag blog, I am of course obsessing over all the bags on sale. And believe me, there are a bunch of great deals!

The face of Gucci’s latest fragrance, Evan Rachel Wood, was spotted sightseeing in Rome with her mother. The actress was there to shoot ads for the new fragrance, which are expected to be released sometime in September. Evan stands out from the crowd of sightseers with her sleek, European-chic attire. Her black jacket and cigarette pants look so crisp next to her bright white t-shirt. She completed her look with a very distinct-looking handbag. It’s the Gucci Bamboo-Handle Flap Bag! Hmm… a little “thank you” from Gucci, perhaps?
Whatever the case may be, this bag is certainly one to take note of. I really like the vintage-inspired flap design and the bamboo handle. And who could miss those tassels?! Admittedly, this bag may be a bit small for everyday use for most people. But I think Evan has it right taking the bag out for a little sightseeing. You could definitely fit a camera and your basic essentials in there! And if you get tired of carrying it on your arm, simply attach the optional crossbody strap and you’ll be good to go!
