Heading to a big party this Fall? Then you may have seen all the party dresses out there that sparkle like disco balls while on your quest for the perfect outfit. It’s no surprise though. This trend has been taking hold since sometime last Spring and it seems to be gaining momentum. But what if you like the idea of having something glitzy… just not the idea of lighting up the entire room with your derriere? Try a sparkly handbag instead! I really like this one from Halston Heritage called the Cleo Small Sac Bag. It would make the perfect Fall 2010 party bag!

New pieces from Halston’s diffusion line have hit the virtual shelves at Net-A-Porter for Fall 2010! I simply love Halston Heritage! It is through this line that the company has been reinventing some of their archive pieces and then marketing them at a price point any of us bagistas can afford. And whether it is clothing or handbags, no other designer screams glamor like Halston does! I’m just glad that looking glamorous doesn’t mean you have to break the bank anymore. So which Halston Heritage bag am I currently lusting after? This lovely Alice Clutch you see pictured here, of course!

It is sometimes hard to believe that Halston’s ticket to fame came when the company’s founder, Roy Halston Frowick, designed the pillbox hat Jacqueline Kennedy wore to her husband’s 1961 presidential inauguration. The company today, with London-based designer Marios Schwab currently holding the creative reins, is most famous for its sensual dresses and simple, yet chic handbag designs. Many fashionistas find themselves longing for the effortless glamor that only Halston can deliver. Unfortunately, most Halston pieces lie far beyond the reach of an average gal’s budget.
