Jimmy Choo Bracelet Woven Hobo
by Marissa on March 16, 2009 6 comments
I always love when shoe designers, design handbags. I find that when a shoe designer, who designs over 20 pairs of heels every season, actually designs a few handbags that they are usually stunning.
Shoe designers do not usually come out with a broad range of handbags, but the few that they do come out with are gorgeous, well at least in my opinion.
The latest handbag that is absolutely gorgeous, and was designed by none other than Jimmy Choo, is called the Bracelet Woven Hobo. The Bracelet Woven Hobo has a woven pattern all throughout the handbag and even comes with a matching bangle bracelet that you can wear or leave on the handbag.
The Jimmy Choo Bracelet Woven Hobo has a zip top closure, and a handle that can be converted to a shoulder strap. Other features of the handbag include: inside zip and open pockets; faux suede lining; and being made in Italy.
The Jimmy Choo Bracelet Woven Hobo can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,750, which I believe to be too much for this handbag. Being that the handbag is made in Italy and by Jimmy Choo, the high price comes as no surprise.

Jimmy Choo Dylan Beach bag
Are any of you ladies hitting sandy beaches after the holidays are over? I know it’s a wee bit early, but our friends over at Net-A-Porter (dot com) have already put together a Cruise Collection page displaying lovely handbags to bust out with after the holidays. As I was browsing along the collection, take a look at the one piece that stood out the most, meet the Dylan Beach bag by Jimmy Choo. It’s large, vibrantly colorful, and there’s no doubt indeed that this tote would make a great beach bag. I personally don’t think I could pull this tote off, maybe its because of this vivid memory I have of a Barbie doll I played with as a girl, that one Barbie was accessorized with a similar plastic pink purse. My dolls squeaky accessory clearly resembles this Jimmy Choo, except that her purse was inflatable, too. With a steep price tag of $1,050, I would most definitely invest on something more year-round rather than on a seasonal Jimmy Choo. Something made of leather, more hardware, and no PVC! Ladies, what’s your input on this Choo, and most importantly, would you wear this?

Jimmy Choo Monna Medium Tote
Got Choo? Since 1996, Jimmy Choo has been dazzling women with his gorgeous accessories. Although handbags were not added to the mix until a few years later, Jimmy Choo is practically a household name for bagistas around the world. I think what I find most appealing about the brand is the unique designs. Many Jimmy Choo styles are instantly recognizable just because they don’t look like anything else out there. Yep, Jimmy Choo never ceases to amaze. That is why I was so surprised, when I came across this handbag, to find that it was made by Jimmy Choo. Introducing the Monna Medium Tote. Yes, this bag is unique, with its expandable center gusset. But I would have never guessed that the creative mind behind this bag was good ol’ Mr. Choo. I’m not really sure how I feel about this bag, to be honest. I love, love, love the color (Neon Pink is new for the Resort 2009 Collection). And I also love the smooth leather and suede combination. But what is up with those extra zippers on the sides? If you ask me, those zippered pockets have placed this bag into the “overkill” category. What does everyone else think?
The Jimmy Choo Monna Medium Tote measures 14″ x 11″, making it a good size for use as a work tote. It retails for $1,735 (a bit pricey, I know). The new Neon Pink is currently available for pre-order.

Jimmy Choo Saba Nappa Handbag

Jimmy Choo Saba Nappa Handbag
Christian Louboutin has always been by shoe designer of choice, but coming in at a close second is Jimmy Choo. Just like Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo also has fabulous handbags. My favorite Jimmy Choo handbag is the Medium Saba Nappa Hobo in Anthracite. The shoulder strap rings and bracelet accent the handbag very well, but remind me of the infamous eighties scrunchy. What I love most about this bag is how much room is in it. I’m usually all for satchels, but lately I’ve been carrying so much in my handbags that I’ve been opting for fabulous shoulder bags.

The handbag has a height of 14 1/4 inches and a width of 17 3/4 giving a bagista plenty of room to put all her essentials plus more. My favorite part of all though, of course, if the magnetic closure. You don’t have to deal with trying to close the bag, it will pretty much close on it’s own. This handbag pretty much has fabulous written all over it from top to bottom.
All beautiful handbags come with a price, and boy does the Jimmy Choo Medium Saba Nappa Hobo come with a price! The handbag is currently listed at $2,450, but I’m not surprised. Being that Jimmy Choo is popular shoe brand that’s made in Italy, the price doesn’t really come as a shock. Lovely but very plain handbag for the price.

Jimmy Choo Riki Metallic Handbag

Jimmy Choo Riki Metallic Handbag
Everyone is familiar with Jimmy Choo’s Ramona Bag. For quite some time now, however, a smaller version of the Ramona has existed. It is called the Riki Bag. Yes, it has the same belted gathering and same flap closure with fliplock. In fact, it kind of hard to tell the two apart, especially in pictures on the web. But the Riki Bag is different from the Ramona. What makes it different? Its a whole 2 inches shorter in both height and width which, I think, makes it a little bit more manageable as a shoulder bag.
Although the Riki Bag is not a new thing, the color I have pictured above is! How do you girls feel about bronze? Well that’s what you’re going to get if you decide to buy this new metallic version of the Riki Bag. Now I personally don’t think bronze is a bad color. Not at all! I think it brings a new freshness to the metallic “trend” that we’re seeing right now (note: I am using the word “trend” loosely here). Hey, everyone has silver or gold, but bronze is a little bit more unique. My only complaint is that it would not be as versatile as silver or gold. I mean, wouldn’t the bronze be a little bit difficult to match with an outfit?
The Metallic Riki Handbag from Jimmy Choo features:
- Double shoulder straps
- Goldtone hardware
- Flap closure with metal fliplock
- Three open pockets and one zip
- One key fob snap
- Measures 14″W X 9″H X 5″D
- Retails for $1,895
Saks is currently taking preorders for the Jimmy Choo Riki Metallic Handbag (in Bronze). You can find it here: Saks.com

Designer Deals: 30% + Off of Some of Your Favorite Designer Bags
Not all of us can stop into our favorite designer store and spend a couple grand on a fabulous new handbag every time we go shopping. Many of us have to save up for a while and when we do get that bag we covet it. Since these bags aren’t just being sent to our front doors as gifts, we want to find the best deals we can on them. I decided to take a look on Overstock.com because I have found some great deals on designer handbags on that site. I looked through their selection and these were my favorite two:
The first bag on the left is the Gucci White Leather Aviatrix Boston Bag. This was one of my favorites because it is perfect for the summer. I saw this bag when it first came out and I thought it was pretty fierce. It originally retailed at $2,450.00, but on Overstock.com you can get it at 31% off for $1,699.90. That is a savings of $750.10! For most of us that is a lot to save…and better yet, can buy us an extra handbag or pair of shoes!
The second bag on the right is the Jimmy Choo Burgundy Ramona Leather Shoulder Bag. This bag is great because everyone needs a red leather bag in their closet. Red bags are just so versatile that you can’t miss out. This bag is the perfect red bag because it can go with almost any outfit and can be dressed up or dressed down. It is the perfect everyday bag and will last you beyond one season. This bag was originally $3,400.00 but is now $1,999.99…that is a whopping 41% off. That’s a saving of $1,400.00! Yes $1,400.00!! Do you know how much you can buy with $1,400.00?? Ladies, I don’t think it would hurt for us to wait it out a little longer so that we can get deals and savings like this.

Natalie Massenet can’t survive without her Jimmy Choo Saba Tote

Natalie Massenet can’t survive without her Jimmy Choo Saba Tote
Natalie Massenet, founder and chairman of net-a-porter.com: “I can’t survive London Fashion Week without my team and my oversized Saba tote by Jimmy Choo. It is chic yet spacious enough to hold everything I need during the day.”
The Jimmy Choo Saba tote is one of the latest stunning pieces from the design house. It’s a super simple everyday lightweight tote that features a spacious interior, a style that contours your side, and is topped off with African inspired bangles on the strap. I can see why Natalie Massenet is a fan! This bag is so unbelievably cute and perfect for everyday wear, especially for when spring rolls around. Such a fab summer bag.
There are so many choices to choose from. It comes in a variety of different looks: Leather in off white for $3,050, Suede in black or chocolate for $2,450, and Zebra print pony hair for $3,395. And since this is such a hot item, it’s already sold out in a few versions. Check out the stock on the Jimmy Choo website. If one of the bags you wanted is sold out, keep checking back with Net-a-porter and SaksFifthAvenue. They will surely get this bag soon.
update Jennifer said: You wont believe it.. moments after posting this the Saba hobo popped up on net-a-porter in the ‘new arrivals section’! Only the brown suede is available at this time.
