Jimmy Choo Handbags & Purses

Guess what ladies! Turquoise is BACK and it’s better than ever! And, of course, I am over-the-moon excited about this because turquoise is one of my all-time favorite colors. I especially like it when it is a really bright turquoise, like the color of a tropical lagoon (mmm… I can feel that warm breeze now). It is such a great color when you’re looking for something that will give your outfit a little pop and it is surprisingly versatile. Turquoise looks great with yellow, green, pink, navy… you name it! I also think it looks especially lovely when paired with chocolate brown or black. Oh my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Do any of you ladies remember the Jimmy Choo Project Pep Tote? My good ol’ buddy Marissa wrote about it back in October.
To be honest, I felt as though the bag had been ripped on a bit too harshly. After all, the bag was produced for the purpose of benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Admittedly, the Jimmy Choo Project Pep Tote is a bit flashy and loud. It is definitely not for the faint of heart. But from what I was reading in the blog comments section, it appeared that there were quite a few people out there that liked the bag and felt that it was donating to a good cause. But what if you liked the bag, but you thought the collage look was just a little too over-the-top for everyday use? Well fear not, my friends!

No matter how hard I wish for the “neon” craze to go away, designer’s keep bringing it back. The latest designer to release a neon piece is Jimmy Choo. The “Candy” Acrylic Clutch by Jimmy Choo is an adorable bag that is available in two colors: Neon Pink, and Black. The clutch looks stunning in black, but in pink it looks pretty grotesque.
I have no clue what designers are thinking when they release a bag in a neon color. If you love neon colors and you can rock then with your wardrobe then more power to you. I, myself, don’t like anything made in a neon color and I picture myself looking like a clown if I carried something that was neon around.

Jimmy Choo is known as the designer brand that makes women drool over beautiful shoes. Everytime I see a Jimmy Choo shoe my heart skips a beat. The shoes are gorgeous, but every now and then the designer brand has some beautiful looking handbags.
When I came across the, Jimmy Choo “Pep” Glazed Canvas Tote I was surprised! When I think of Jimmy Choo, I think of a designer brand that is classy and sophisticated looking. To see that the “Pep” Glazed Tote was made by Jimmy Choo was appalling and shocking at the same time.
I do not like anything about this bag. To me, this bag looks like an absolute mess. You got flags, jewels, lips, and even shoes featured on the bag. If you examine the bag, it really does look like magazine cut outs. The bag is all over the place, and I don’t understand the theme of it at all.
I’m not sure who would actually carry this tote around. I suppose those who love edgy fashion might have an appreciation for this handbag. All I know is that, my wardrobe is edgy for the most part and I despise this bag. I could never see myself using this bag, but of course that is just my opinion. If you happen to love this bag, then rock it out because I know I never could.
The Jimmy Choo “Pep” Glazed Canvas Tote can be purchased at Nordstrom for $995, which I think is ridiculous for this bag. The bag is not cute at all, and the price is way too high. I would think this bag would cost $400 at the most, but when you’re dealing with Jimmy Choo you can never expect a low price. Sorry Jimmy Choo, but this bag get an F in my book.

I always love when shoe designers, design handbags. I find that when a shoe designer, who designs over 20 pairs of heels every season, actually designs a few handbags that they are usually stunning.
Shoe designers do not usually come out with a broad range of handbags, but the few that they do come out with are gorgeous, well at least in my opinion.
The latest handbag that is absolutely gorgeous, and was designed by none other than Jimmy Choo, is called the Bracelet Woven Hobo. The Bracelet Woven Hobo has a woven pattern all throughout the handbag and even comes with a matching bangle bracelet that you can wear or leave on the handbag.
The Jimmy Choo Bracelet Woven Hobo has a zip top closure, and a handle that can be converted to a shoulder strap. Other features of the handbag include: inside zip and open pockets; faux suede lining; and being made in Italy.
The Jimmy Choo Bracelet Woven Hobo can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,750, which I believe to be too much for this handbag. Being that the handbag is made in Italy and by Jimmy Choo, the high price comes as no surprise.

Jimmy Choo Dylan Beach bag
Are any of you ladies hitting sandy beaches after the holidays are over? I know it’s a wee bit early, but our friends over at Net-A-Porter (dot com) have already put together a Cruise Collection page displaying lovely handbags to bust out with after the holidays. As I was browsing along the collection, take a look at the one piece that stood out the most, meet the Dylan Beach bag by Jimmy Choo. It’s large, vibrantly colorful, and there’s no doubt indeed that this tote would make a great beach bag. I personally don’t think I could pull this tote off, maybe its because of this vivid memory I have of a Barbie doll I played with as a girl, that one Barbie was accessorized with a similar plastic pink purse. My dolls squeaky accessory clearly resembles this Jimmy Choo, except that her purse was inflatable, too. With a steep price tag of $1,050, I would most definitely invest on something more year-round rather than on a seasonal Jimmy Choo. Something made of leather, more hardware, and no PVC! Ladies, what’s your input on this Choo, and most importantly, would you wear this?

Jimmy Choo Monna Medium Tote
Got Choo? Since 1996, Jimmy Choo has been dazzling women with his gorgeous accessories. Although handbags were not added to the mix until a few years later, Jimmy Choo is practically a household name for bagistas around the world. I think what I find most appealing about the brand is the unique designs. Many Jimmy Choo styles are instantly recognizable just because they don’t look like anything else out there. Yep, Jimmy Choo never ceases to amaze. That is why I was so surprised, when I came across this handbag, to find that it was made by Jimmy Choo. Introducing the Monna Medium Tote. Yes, this bag is unique, with its expandable center gusset. But I would have never guessed that the creative mind behind this bag was good ol’ Mr. Choo. I’m not really sure how I feel about this bag, to be honest. I love, love, love the color (Neon Pink is new for the Resort 2009 Collection). And I also love the smooth leather and suede combination. But what is up with those extra zippers on the sides? If you ask me, those zippered pockets have placed this bag into the “overkill” category. What does everyone else think?
The Jimmy Choo Monna Medium Tote measures 14″ x 11″, making it a good size for use as a work tote. It retails for $1,735 (a bit pricey, I know). The new Neon Pink is currently available for pre-order.
