With the economy in the current shape that it is in, one can’t help but want to save money. And with so many stores having sales or websites hosting sample sales, how can a shopaholic possibly resist? But there is another way to save money that perhaps some people haven’t thought to consider… and that is buying pre-loved handbags and accessories. Why pre-loved? Well, for one, you can often find good deals on items that never go on sale (e.g. Louis Vuitton). You can also find discontinued styles and hard-to-find collector’s pieces. And the best part is, something only has to be used once or twice to be called “used”. This means that you have a pretty good chance of finding something that is practically new without the “new” price tag. Love it!

So where does one find a good selection of pre-loved handbags and accessories? Ebay was once a hot spot for used luxury items. Unfortunately, however, with all the fakes out there people have become wary of the things offered for sale in this virtual marketplace. This is such a shame because there are still trustworthy sellers out there that have wonderful deals to offer, the trick is learning how to spot them. And to set you off in the right direction, I would like to share will all you Bag Bliss readers out there some of my favorite ebay sellers.

1. Ebay Seller: bagteria
This seller usually has a good selection of authentic Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Balenciaga, and Chloe handbags. She also has a variety of Hermes scarves and accessories. I have purchased items from this seller before and, I must say, her customer service skills are excellent!

2. Ebay Seller: authentic_lvlady
This seller mainly deals in pre-loved Louis Vuitton handbags. She often has limited edition pieces, along with a wide variety of monogram canvas. Her prices seem pretty decent and I especially love the deals she has on Epi Leather items!

3. Ebay Seller: let-trade
This seller also mainly deals in pre-loved Louis Vuitton handbags and accessories. They offer a pretty good selection through their ebay listings, but an even larger selection can be found on their website. For every item that is up for sale, they provide clear and close up pictures of the item from every angle imaginable. I love that because you can see for yourself exactly what condition the item is in. From my experience, their customer service is pretty good and their shipping is extremely prompt.

The Louis Vuitton Epi Speedy 30 is just one of those bags that can best be categorized under timeless classic. It’s the perfect carry-all-you-need city bag.

What I love most about this bag, besides the shape and over all style is the material. I’m not really a fan of signatures scribbled all over my bag, I prefer the label to be inside or neatly stamped in a clean and simple way, like on the hardware or on the corner. Which is why I love the Epi Line so much. (added to Louis Vuitton 1985)

The famous Speedy style is the little sister of Louis Vuitton’s world famous travel Keepall. The classic satchel shape is crafted out of full-grain Epi leather, features a city-proof roomy textile lined interior, accessorized with polished silver metal hardware and topped off with the little “LV” stamp and signature padlock. The measurements are about 12″ in length x 8″ height.

You can find the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 from the Epi line over at eLuxury, where it retails for $1,050.

Eluxury’s next big move towards closing down – removal of Louis Vuitton products.

The last day to shop for Louis Vuitton handbags at eLuxury is set for today, May 15th.

eLuxury launched in June 2000 by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and was the only location online (besides LouisVuitton.com) where authentic LV items were sold, but after getting hit with declining popularity and sales, they announced the closure of the retail portion of the site.

After that date, Louis Vuitton items will only be sold at LouisVuitton.com.

If looking for a steal, and you don’t mind buying a second hand bag, you should totally checkout the Louis Vuitton Epi Speedy’s on eBay. Right now there’s a dozen or so of this style in a variety of colors, like yummy Mandarin orange, Castillan red, Ivory white, Green, Yellow and more.

And you are not going to believe some of the deals – for example at this moment there are a couple authentic Epi Speedy’s with current bids in the $200-range with a buy-it-now’s in the area of $405 to $899.

Also, I probably don’t have to tell you, but be super careful for fakes. Before bidding, be sure that the user has a high rating, been around for a while, and it’s always a plus if they’re a My Poupette or eBay PowerSeller.

Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton payed homage to his departed friend Stephen Sprouse, who passed in 2004, with the release of the limited edition (yeah it totally glows in the dark!) Graffiti line which made it’s big splash at Vuitton boutiques worldwide at the beginning of this year. The line features the classic Louis Vuitton design that has been revised in the fluorescent Monogram Graffiti canvas inspired by late American artist Stephen Sprouse.

The Bags Basics: The Louis Vuitton signature monogram canvas material is designed in the new fluorescent neon colored graffiti. This bag also features natural cowhide leather, which darkens over time into that lovely aged golden color, and is accessorized with the traditional shiny golden brass hardware, and the zip top closure with padlock. The spacious interior is dressed in fine textile lining with an interior patch pocket, ideal for your cellphone. Measurements of the 30 Speedy are 11.8″ Length x 8.3″ Height. The size is really amazing, it’s perfect size for your daily mission. A celebrity favorite: “Queen of Pop” Madonna recently picked up the Sunset Orange. Paris the Heiress has been spotted everywhere around town with her Fuchsia. English supermodel, Agyness Deyn just added the neon green to her collection.

Now for the price. You can find the Louis Vuitton Speedy Graffiti, along with all the other Louis Vuitton products over at eLuxury. The Graffiti Speedy retails for $1,180. Plus don’t forget to pick up a black light!

If on the otherhand you’re looking for the real “original” Stephen Sprouse vintage Limited Edition piece, which the newer neon graffiti’s are inspired after, check out ebay. Louis Vuitton has just released a new set of Monogram Canvas handbags entitled The Boétie Collection, and the collection is nothing less than stunning! The Boétie Collection features three different sizes the: PM; MM; and GM, but absolute favorite is the PM version.

When I first saw that a PM version was available for the Boétie handbag I immediately thought that the handbag would be microscopic, and boy was I wrong! The measurements of the Boétie PM are, 14.3″ x 9″ x 6.3″, making it larger than a Speedy 30 which has measurements of, 11.8″ x 8.3″.

Some features of the Boétie PM include: golden brass hardware; zipped closure; leather flap with golden brass twist lock; studs on the bottom; and open pockets in the interior. The only major downfall about this handbag is the excessive amount of vanchetta featured on the handbag. This is one bag that you would have to take extra care for, being that it is considered a high maintenance bag.

What I love most about the Boétie PM is that it really is a sophisticated and classy handbag. The bag can literally be worn day or night at any occasion, and no matter what it will still look fabulous.

The Boétie PM retails for $1,860, which I agree is a little too much for this handbag. I will admit though that I am absolutely in love with this handbag, and I’m considering to pick one up. If you are as much of a Louis Vuitton lover as I am, you know you can not deny the beauty of this handbag. In my opinion, yes it’s pricey but definitely worth every penny.

The Boétie PM is timeless and gorgeous, what more could you ask for in a handbag.

Can you guess who the designer of this piece is? It’s actually by Mr Marc Jacobs for his Collection line. Yeah, I would have never guessed it myself. It’s surprising to see Marc sketch out something so fresh and new compared to his typical works. The only “Marc” features I spot on this piece would be the supple quilted leather, and nothing more. The bold shades of violet are fun and the complimentary yellow stitching is eye-catching and really unexpected. When you think about it, so much commotion is going on in this single piece. Artistic abstract lines, giant knots, multicolor leather, dangling lock… tassels!

Some might agree that its details are too much, while others might agree that the collaboration of all is actually pretty impressive. This bucket like bag carries a 13.5” x 10.5” x 5” dimensions and an unusual name of Grainne Mackenzie, sounds sort of like a celebrity baby name wouldn’t you say. A bit too trendy for my taste, and the $1,750 price tag is nowhere near convincing. Ladies what’s your input on this piece, do you like this?

If a fashionista owns an iPhone, chances are she wants a designer case to go with it. Fashion designers are making their mark in the cell phone world by bringing out high fashion accessories for cell phones including a iPhone cases.

Louis Vuitton and Prada are a couple of the designers getting in on the iPhone craze. Louis Vuitton has came out with six different iPhone cases, one of which is no longer available. The different lines of Louis Vuitton iPhone cases include: Monogram Canvas; Damier Graphite Canvas; Taiga Leather; and as pictured above, Epi Leather. Louis Vuitton also came out with a limited edition Monogramouflauge iPhone case, which sold out very quickly and can no longer be purchased. The Louis Vuitton iPhone cases run from $240-$290, but when the next price increase comes around I’m sure they will go up!

Prada has also got on in on the iPhone mania and has come out with a rather stylish case for the over popular phone. Although, the Prada iPhone case may be fashionable, it sells out rather quickly. The Prada iPhone case is available in a grayish metallic color and it is absolutely stunning. The iPhone case by Prada runs for $140, which is not a bad price for a designer phone case.

Louis Vuitton iPhone cases can be purchased at eLUXURY and Prada iPhone cases can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue. Saks Fifth Avenue does have the Prada iPhone available from time to time, but it does sell out quickly so be sure to check often.

Is pink the new black, again? Recently, I’ve run into quite a few accessories carrying the feminine hue, and they’re all so charming. It could be that designers purposely planned the pink phase along with the Valentines and Mothers Day holidays. I will always applaud those gals who can pull off a nice sized pink handbag, as I sure can’t. Since I can’t do the handbag, the wallet would be my next alternative. I’d love to add a hint of rose to my collection as I can just imagine that cheerful pop of color I’d display as I pull any of these lovelies out of my neutral colored handbag.

First up is the Louis Vuitton’s Vernis French Purse in Rose Pop. The Rose Pop name says it all. If you already own one of the new vernis colors, lucky you, as these are really in demand at the moment.

The Metallic Quilted Zip Wallet by Marc Jacobs Collection would be my pick. I adore this bright shade and against quilted metallic leather, it’s even more attractive. $545 can buy you this pretty Fuchsia wallet.

Save a few bucks and try the Large Graffiti Wallet by MM6 Maison Martin Margiela. It’s got the same bright pink trend, but appears to be toned down a bit compliments of the off-white graffiti print. As I take a second look, I’m not sure if I’m feeling the sprayed print, ladies what do you all think?

Dolce & Gabbana’s version appears to be a bit more simple and feminine with its light pink hue. It’s also more compact, patent, and only $275.

My ultimate favorite handbag is the Louis Vuitton Multicolor Speedy 30. I’m even lucky enough to not only own one but to live in Florida, a state where I can pretty much carry it 365 days a year if I wanted to. I try to carry my Multicolor Speedy 30 as much as I can, I even carried it today!

No matter what handbag I carry on any given day, I am always the type of person to put as much as I can in my handbag. For some reason, I can not walk out the door unless I have “certain” items with me.

Those “certain” items I can not leave my house without are my: Dolce & Gabbana eye glasses and sunglasses; Louis Vuitton change purse, cosmetic pouch, and wallet; Juicy Couture flash drive; keys; cell phone; hair clip; pretzels; and iPod.

I am a designer junkie, but the one thing out of all those items listed above that I can not go anywhere without is actually my Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses! I got them for such a great deal at Nordstrom, that I literally don’t let them leave my side!
