Envelope Style Clutches for ALL budgets
The envelope clutch is classic piece that’s destined to never go out of style. There are so many different versions floating around out there, all varying in price by different designers, but when it all comes down to it — they all share the envelope style.

After combing through the galactic space of the world wide web, I narrowed it down to 8 fantastic pieced for all budgets, that range from $14.99 for a super high glossy plastic envelope clutch and on up to $1,660 for an alarming red patent purse. Of course there are other fabulous pieces that can be found in the middle range, my picks are detailed below.

Xhilaration Envelope Clutch – It’s exhilarating to know that you don’t have to dish out major cash on a clutch that you’ll probably wear only once or twice a month. This super cheap Xhilaration clutch isn’t the prettiest of the bunch, but hey, it gets the job done.

Daisy Fuentes Turn-Lock Flap Clutch - Since when does Daisy Fuentes have a handbag line at Kohl’s? I’ve never really shopped at this deparment store, heck I never even heard of them until Simply Vera, Vera Wang line moved in on the shelves. Anyway, I think this is a great find for $25. Forever21 you can’t beat that!

Vivre Leather Envelopes - These Vivre pieces are my far my favorite of the bunch. Available is juicy bold attention grabbing colors, plus they are made of embossed leather, giving it the crocodile exotic look, without the steep exotic price tag.

Loeffler Randall Katia Envelope Clutch - A simple envelope style clutch with a touch of attitude. Loeffler Randall could have just popped out the traditional same old envelope purse, but no, this designer threw some studs into the mix. I love it. It gives it a day-to-night sort of look to it.

Luella Heart envelope clutch - Mirror mirror on the clutch, who’s the fairest envelope clutch of them all? If you love metallics –who doesn’t?– then you will love Luella’s heart ornamented envelope purse.

Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Envelope Clutch - Okay, do you remember those beautiful croc-print Vivre clutches I mentioned like 2 seconds ago, well check out this beauty. If you are looking for the real deal — genuine crocodile — then this is the clutch for you. It runs about $1k+ more than the Vivre leather version, but still this is an investment piece.

Versace Couture Clutch - Dressed in woven quilted Greek key logo pattern throughout in metallic grained leather. This piece will flow with any spring - summer outfit from day to night. This piece is also a little bit bigger than the average clutch (11″x 6.5″x 1.25″), so it also comes with a shoulder strap, to transform it into a envelope style bag.

Brian Atwood Mattie Patent Clutch- And finally we have arrived to the last of fab envelope style clutches, the patent Mattie by Brian Atwood. This vintage-inspired patent purse features a longer triangular flap-cut then the other pieces, that combined with the high patent gloss make this piece look extra sleek and stylish.

Luella Heart Coin Purse
What, does every designer have a mini heart shaped coin purse? As you saw in the previous posts today: Louis Vuitton has their super glossy Vernis version, Gucci has their less flashy monogram double G version, Lulu Guinness has their red snakeskin heart handbag collection with partial proceeds going to the RED charity, and check this out, even Luella has a heart coin purse edition. Available in an array of shiny choices - fuschia, green, black, gold, silver and more. Price range $154 to $200. Pictured above are my absolute favorite colors. The metallic turquoise in the snakeskin print and the bold glossy pink. I love them. They’re simple and don’t have the designers logo plastered all over the petite body. (I’m going through a logo-less phase). Out of all the other love shaped coin purses out there, by far Luella has won my heart.

I would probably use this as an evening clutch. It’s colorful bright red plus hand held evening clutches are always a great evening accessory. It’s not a big clutch, but according to the site it’s just the right size for some change and lipgloss.

Christina Aguilera Purse Style: The Luella Bernie Bowling Handbag
Spotted: The Balenciaga handbag queen, Christina Aguilera has traded in her B. Bag for Luella’s new Bernie Bowling bag. Finally! This girl probably has every Balenciaga bag known to woman (and man), so it’s nice to see her with a different piece on her arm.

Pictured above, the gorgeous mom-to-be was spotted over the weekend at baby shop to the stars Bel Bambini with her new Luella purse on arm.

The Luella Bernie bag is black leather and pony skin bowling-style bag with two large front tassles and zip fastening across the top. This Luella bag has gold hardware, a pouch at the front with a magnetized clasp, a zipper pouch at the back, a black suede lining, two small open pouches, a small zipper pouch and two press stud pouches either side of the main opening.

Luella Bartley Robbed of Designer Handbags
Robbed! Luella Bartley’s newly opened Brook Street Store (London) has been raided just one week after opening its doors. Huge bummer. It is reported that a gang on mopeds broke the glass doors with a sledgehammer at around 1am yesterday morning before making off with about $20k’s worth of Luella Bartley designer handbags.

The Chief Inspector Martin Johnson, of the Westminster Police, told The Evening Standard: “They are stealing high value goods that can move fairly easily on the market”! Which means you are probably going to see some of those bags floating around on eBay! Sad. Very sad.

Show your Geek Side: Luella Geek Print Shopper
Nicely said! If you ever feel like showing off your geeky side, then check out the Luella Geek Print Shopper. Lately I have ignored the Luella label, well stopped paying attention because most of the bags have started looking just okay to me, nothing really that stabs you with that “got to have vibe.” Well that was until I discovered the Geek Tote. Haha. Okay I know what you are thinking. I rarely like anything written on my shirts let alone have any of my bags carry a message or statement. But at only $195, move over Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc the Geek is in.

About the Bag: Bag by Luella that was donated by Kelly Rowland - you even get an autographed letter. It is the large Anouk shoulder bag by Luella. The bag is made of grainy calf skin leather with contrast stitching decorated with branded silver hardware with two front patch pockets and two side patch pockets and closes with flap and buckle. The single adjustable strap drops 9″. The interior is fully lined black canvas. Zip pocket. Open side pocket.

Luella Bartley | Spring 2007 Runway Handbag Collection
Alright Bagista’s and Bagister’s, we have our first set of designer bags from the spring 2007 Runway, which I have been obsessively waiting for. Sadly though I am not that impressed after viewing Luella’s new collection. Here are a few bags from her collection. I can’t stand the sight of disco balls. The rest of this bag looks okay at other views, however if I had this bag I would have to clip off that disco ball.

Luella’s black and white alphabet bags are definitely an eye-catcher but I wouldn’t waste my money on this bag. I have no idea what the retail is, but to me it looks like it belongs in Target (remembering Luella’s Go International at Target Bags).

Long ago the Luella Gisele was once the hottest “It Bag” of the season. It was first introduced in later months of 2003, but was not instantly crowned with the “It Bag” status until months later when we saw it on the arms of almost all fashionable starlets and celebrities. Wonder what’s in the name? Young designer Luella Bartley named the Luella Gisele bag after the Brazilian beauty supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Even though this bag dropped it’s “It Bag” Status, it’s still one bag that is admired by all ages. See below, Jennifer Aniston and Mischa Barton are still toting theirs.

Designer Handbag Deal of the Day!
Luella | Lucca Fringed Hobo | On Sale $995.25 | Discover The Sale!
If you love fringe then you may love the Luella Lucca Fringed Hobo. Personally I’m not that in love with the dangling details, or anything fringe for that matter. When I first saw this tasseled bag I got the image of those ugly leather fringe jackets (sorry if you own one). If I had this Luella Lucca or if someone purchased it as a gift for me, then I would have the urge to snip it off the tassels. Am I the only one here that dislikes the fringe? I think the bag would look just fine with out.

FYI this bag usually retails for $1,327 and can now be found on the clearance rack at net-a-porter for the discounted, but still highly priced $995.25.

Any handbag under $30 is going to make my list for ‘Designer Handbag Deal of the Day’. The color isn’t exactly one of my favorites, I’m not a fan of bright orange bags, however if it came in white I would buy 2. Although I like the bag, I have to make fun of the reviews people posted about this bag on the Target site.
