Wow, this black and white trend has really expanded! It seems like everyone is trying to get a piece of the action and new pieces are popping up left and right. That’s okay though. Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of fringe in the fashion world, especially on handbags. The fringe trend is kind of always there, it’s just more prominent at certain times. It’s kind of like the neon trend, always there but sometimes it’s in our face a little too much. I’ve never been a big fan of fringe, so I’ve always stayed away from it. If you ever owned a fanny pack in your lifetime you’re either proud or uncomfortable in admitting that the hands free solution to your most important essentials is in fact quite handy. Perhaps the majority of all fanny packs out there don’t win as the most attractive accessories in your closet, but change has come through the design creations of By Malene Birger.
It’s the ultra modern version of the infamous fanny pack; meet the Tummy Waist Bag. Judging from the name alone, I wasn’t too convinced that the Tummy Waist Bag sounded any more polished than the fanny pack. Upon discovering what the Tummy Waist had to offer, it’s quite the piece. At a glimpse, it resembles the mother creation of the fanny pack. It bears the cylindrical slouchy silhouette and an accessible leather strap.
