Thrifty Thrill: Prada Moss Tessuto Patch Shopper
by Deysa on May 1, 2009 11 comments
Look at what I ran into today. I would say this is yet another designer experiment to see if a product really sells for it’s quality or it’s brand name. Bright and Summery is Prada’s colorful Moss Tessuto Patch Shopping Tote.
It’s not your typical luxury Prada bag as this tote lacks the luscious Prada leather, shiny hardware, and the versatile, everyday theme. Instead, this bright shopper seems perfect for your spring/summer wardrobe, and that’s about it. This artistic crafted accessory carries an arrangement of moss green, pink, purple, yellow and white nylon patches, forming what looks like an irregular sun or floral design.
My question for the House of Prada is, who designed this and why? I apologize to any fans of this piece, but I don’t understand its concept. It’s too juvenile and way out of the ordinary. Plus for way less than the $796 asking price, I can find a handbag as bright and detailed as this shopper is. More details found on this Prada include an enameled link chain, and ID tag and a magnetic snap closure.

Free Prada Cosmetic Case with Prada Flip Flops Purchase!
by BrS on April 21, 2009 11 comments
Prada, what have you guys been up to lately? To tell you the truth, I haven’t been paying a whole lot of attention. They make some of the nicest handbags I have ever seen, I just wish they had a little more pizazz to them. The same shapes keep reappearing year after year, with just a tiny little change here or there. I don’t know about you Bag Bliss readers out there, but I would really like to see some fresh new designs from this designer.
Now I’m not saying Prada isn’t good at providing their customers with the basics. They make wonderful nylon cosmetic cases and other small accessories. Great for every day, just toss them in your bag and go! And if you really want to sweeten the deal, then check out this Prada Flip Flops and Cosmetic Case Set I found! For the same price as a large cosmetic bag, you get a lovely patent cosmetic bag of comparable size PLUS a pair of matching flip flops! How cool is that? What I like best about this set is that you could also use it for traveling. Just pop the flip flops inside the bag along with some toiletries and you’re ready to go!

The Prada Flip Flops and Cosmetic Case Set is available in Black, Gold, Green, or Silver. It retails for $195. Pick yours up at Saks Fifth Avenue

Prada Cervo Lux Print Bowler Bag
by Marissa on March 8, 2009 19 comments
The Prada Bowler has always been one of my favorite handbags of all time. The style and structure of the handbag are stunning as well as convenient. You can carry them like a satchel on your arm or as a shoulder bag on your shoulder.
I recently came across the Prada Cervo Lux Print Bowler, and I was in awe. The python printed deerskin satchel was stunning. I admit the colors are a little bland, but if this handbag was made in pinks and purples I think it would be that much more beautiful. The colors may be a bit dull, but no one can deny that this handbag is a pure beauty.
The Bowler has a “Prada” goldtone logo at the center front of the handbag that really sticks out and catches your eye. Other details of the handbag include: double handle straps with a 5″ drop; zip closure; metal standing feet; deerskin leather; and most importantly the handbag is made in Italy.
Being that the handbag is Python printed and is made by Prada, you can expect to see a hefty price tag with this handbag. The Prada Cervo Lux Print Bowler is currently available at Saks Fifth Avenue for $2,290. Yes, it is a bit much for a handbag that you probably won’t even wear much, but I will admit that the handbag is “catchy” looking.

New Designer Man Bags / Mags / Murses @ Saks
by Deysa on February 24, 2009 14 comments
Man Bag, Mag, or simply Travel & Luggage. Whichever you choose to call it, men all around the world are preferring to carry their essentials in a roomier compartment other than their pant pockets. In my area, the messenger styled bag wins the popularity contest, and over at Saks (dot com), they carry even more styles to choose from.
Up first is the messenger styled bag, the Prada way. Prada presents their version as causal and definitely masculine. I really like the combination of Prada nylon with rich leather and the variety of colors are appealing, yet allow this piece to match with almost anything.
For the trendy man, Gucci presents their latest duffle in one of the hottest colors right now, Cobalt. It’s got double handles, vertical zippers, and silver tone hardware, and seriously, how striking is that hue!
Got a crave for logos? Gucci’s classic GG logoed duffle gets a makeover with vintage inspired orange/khaki/white leather trims. Luggage tag, removable strap, lock and keys are included with this piece.
Last but not least, the perfect accessory for Mr. Sophisticated. Yves Saint Laurent presents the Muse Travel Bag and wow is it gorgeous! It’s rich, large, and made of Buffalo leather. Yeah, I won’t be surprised if some of you gals pick this up for yourself… you know… to travel and stuff.

Designer iPhone Tech Cases: Louis Vuitton + Prada
by Marissa on February 23, 2009 20 comments
If a fashionista owns an iPhone, chances are she wants a designer case to go with it. Fashion designers are making their mark in the cell phone world by bringing out high fashion accessories for cell phones including a iPhone cases.
Louis Vuitton and Prada are a couple of the designers getting in on the iPhone craze. Louis Vuitton has came out with six different iPhone cases, one of which is no longer available. The different lines of Louis Vuitton iPhone cases include: Monogram Canvas; Damier Graphite Canvas; Taiga Leather; and as pictured above, Epi Leather. Louis Vuitton also came out with a limited edition Monogramouflauge iPhone case, which sold out very quickly and can no longer be purchased. The Louis Vuitton iPhone cases run from $240-$290, but when the next price increase comes around I’m sure they will go up!
Prada has also got on in on the iPhone mania and has come out with a rather stylish case for the over popular phone. Although, the Prada iPhone case may be fashionable, it sells out rather quickly. The Prada iPhone case is available in a grayish metallic color and it is absolutely stunning. The iPhone case by Prada runs for $140, which is not a bad price for a designer phone case.
Louis Vuitton iPhone cases can be purchased at eLUXURY and Prada iPhone cases can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue. Saks Fifth Avenue does have the Prada iPhone available from time to time, but it does sell out quickly so be sure to check often.

Prada Mordore Ruffle Shoulder Bag
by Deysa on February 18, 2009 18 comments
Exotic florals or bird tail feathers, what does this remind you of? The House of Prada never fails to add beautiful feminine details to its goods and accessories.
One of the many fine examples of this can be found on the Mordore Ruffle Shoulder Bag. Ruffles and pleats add even more character to their classic nappa leather hobo, but I can’t decide if I’d prefer the plain (no ruffles and pleats) instead. Yes the details are lovely, but does this look casual enough to carry everyday? Unfortunately, carrying this hobo as a shoulder bag, as it’s intended to be, will sadly cover the décor and character of the handbag, with your arm. I’m thinking a clutch sporting the same concept would be more beneficial to me.
You still can’t deny the fact that it’s made of metallic nappa leather, that the silver hardware of choice indeed compliments, and of course, it’s Prada! A classic shape, a versatile color, and a 20% off the price tag are even more reasons to visit our friends over at BlueFly (dot com) and check this hobo out.

Prada Gem Tessuto Pietre Wristlet
by Marissa on January 26, 2009 18 comments
I can’t decide if this is beautiful or just plain gaudy. The Prada Tessuto Pietre Wristlet is pretty much a classy wristlet that would definitely stick out in any crowd due to all the crystals it has featured all over it. My question is though, are the crystals beautiful or just a little too much?
The Prada Tessuto Pietre Wristlet comes in two colors: pink and purple. To me, the crystals make the pink version look a tad bit tacky, but yet on the purple version they look absolutely gorgeous! The crystals are featured all over smooth nylon and has a buckled wrist strap with a three inch drop.
The wristlet has a zip top closure and features the “Prada” signature logo right in the center in the front of the wristlet. It is also made in Italy, but that is of no shock being that Prada is the designer of this wristlet.
The Prada Tessuto Pietre Wristlet can currently be purchased over at Saks Fifth Avenue for $540. Yes, that may seem like a lot for a wristlet but most high end designers do charge quite a bit for their wristlets. Some people, like myself, maybe ask themselves, “Why pay over $500 for a wristlet when I can put that money towards a new handbag?” I couldn’t agree anymore, but I must say that the Prada Tessuto Pietre Wristlet is quite the eye catcher for a wristlet.
