Every so often, us bag lovers are teased with limited edition desiger bags. Everyone one wants one, but only a lucky few can get one. The Prada Fairy bag is one of those bags. It is a limited edition bag by Prada. Only a limited amount of these bags were made. There is a waitlist about a mile long for this bag and it is extremely difficult to get on to. Summer Necessity: The White Handbag
White handbags are an absolute necessity for the summer. They go with so many summer outfitsYear after year I find myself in search of a white handbag for the summer. I often have a hard time finding a white handbag I like. There are many things to keep in mind and look for when shopping for white bags. A big problem with white bags is that they can easily look cheap. You really can’t go the cheap route when buying a white bag or else you’ll get what you paid for. You have to find something of top quality but also of a material that won’t pick up every grain of dust that falls on it. The extremely soft white leathers tend to pick up dirt very easily. You want a classic style that will last you beyond one season. After shopping around for a little, these are the top 2 white handbags that I found:

My Orange Prada Purse from HauteLook is here – wait something’s missing
10 minutes ago I received a package from HauteLook. Oh sweet, it must be my new delicious orange Prada bag from the DecadesTwo @ HauteLook sale. FYI: I ordered it exactly 9 days ago (takes 7 days for them to package up and send out — even if you pay $29.52 for 2 day) Let me open the package… …… …… ….. ….. …. …. … oh cute. It’s so little and orange. This is such a spring-summer color. Yummy.

Wait a minute.. .. I’m not one to complain, unless there’s a reason to. And in this case of the Prada Purse there is. Something is missing here… You know what it is? A dustbag. My bag did not come with a dustbag. How weird is that? Where is my bag going to sleep at night? It’s going to have to bunk with another relative I guess until I find a prada sleeper. Keep in mind, this has never happened to me before when shopping on HL. I’ve received a couple bags from this site, and both of which came with a dustbag. I guess it maybe random.. because I’m pretty sure, it did not say “dustbag not included”. Bummer. I’m sure this bag wont get much sleep this summer anyway..

Prada Vitello Daino Mini Hobo Purse
Don’t you just love a nice comfy hobo? I sure do, and apparently so does Prada. The luxury brand introduces to us the Vitello Daino Mini Hobo. At first I thought this bag looked a bit too simple in design, but its simplicity didn’t affect the fact that this hobo is really stunning, in my opinion. I actually love how straightforward this hobo is, it’s definitely roomy enough for your every day essentials, (well at least for my essentials it is). On this bag, you can find a single flat and thick shoulder strap. With that said, I imagine this hobo being a pick-me-up-and-throw-me-over-your-shoulder bag. One thing you will not find on this Prada is exaggerating embellishments, studs, plates, or logos. Instead, you’ll find nice smooth calfskin leather. I adore the color of the leather, it’s such a pretty metallic gold, and the shiny gold-plated hardware of choice really does compliment wonderfully with the dyed leather. It gives off such a tasteful and classy look! I will mention that this hobo is also available in black Vitello leather, although I feel that the darker version is not as stunning as the metallic version is. Geek Chic: The Prada Ombre Laptop Bag
Dear stylish students, professionals, and laptop lovers,

We finally have our very own chic laptop bag! Our good friends at Prada decided that it was time to indulge those of us who appreciate some geek chic. Prada has come out with the “Prada Ombre Laptop Bag.” It is grey and silver patent leather, displaying the Prada symbol in the bottom center of the bag and provides an adjustable strap and interior padding for protection. It is medium-sized and fits most laptops. Retailing at $1,116 this bag might be as expensive as your laptop but it’s a fashionable way to tote around your computer everyday.

As a law student, I need my laptop all the time…at school, my internship, the café at 2am when I’m studying…etc. If I was going to be carrying something around with me that often I wanted it to look as stylish as my clothes and shoes.

Unfortunately, the majority of laptop bags are big, black, bulky, and non-designer. While I don’t completely love the style and coloring of the Prada Ombre, it does offer a new chic and couture alternative to carrying around your laptop. It is also simple enough to match almost anything and its patent leather makes it trendy enough to keep you looking stylish. Hopefully, this will start a new trend and more designers will follow in Prada’s footsteps and make more chic laptop bags.

Prada Nappa Stripes Multicolor Tote
I am totally feeling the bright eye-popping colors many designers have been putting on their bags for this coming season. They’re just so fun to wear and if worn right, they’re major head turners! I ran into this Prada newbie today, meet the Nappa Stripes Multicolor Tote, part of Prada’s Spring Runway Collection. This tote is wrapped in multi shaded stripes of nappa leather, from top to bottom. The bright purple, green, and magenta stripes kind of remind me of colorful molding clay I would play with as a kid! Green double top handles and a detachable shoulder strap are used to carry, and a magnetic snap closure is placed for security purposes. This roomy bags measures 15”H x 11 ¾” W x 5 ¼” D. Although I enjoy the vertical stripes of color, I don’t know if this is something I would carry. Yes the colors are enjoyable, but somehow, this bag reminds me of circus tent. I feel if I were to buy this bag, I would enjoy it for a day or two, and then it would remain forever in the back of my closet. Plus, the $2,360 price tag isn’t really convincing. The main question for you bag-fanatics out there is: Would you wear this bag?

Tilda Swinton and her Prada Fantasy Fairy Bag
Katherine Mathilda Swinton, famously known as Tilda Swinton, the two-time Golden Globe Award-nominated British actress known for both arthouse (aka “art cinema” or “independent film”) and mainstream films. A couple recent movies under her belt include the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian, where she played a sinister White Witch Jadis; Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland), an upcoming fantasy horror film by Marilyn Manson. Which are all rather fantasy like, so I guess I wasn’t completely surprised when I stumbled upon these pictures of her at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend toting along the new Prada Fairy Bag.

WWD: Top 12 Designer Handbag Brands of 2007
WWD recently published their top 12 picks for 2007, and I am so disappointed. I mean who did they interview? Label whores? When I think of last years best sellers, or even memorable bags that could have been found on the lists of thousands of handbag fans, I wouldn’t pick a bag by some of the designers below. Coach number 1? How can that be. And Ralph Lauren? The only bag that comes to mind is the birkin-looking Ricky bag. I have nothing against the brands below, I’m a fan of a couple, but I don’t think this list is very accurate.
