Rebecca Minkoff Darling Shoulder Bag
by BrS on June 14, 2009 14 comments
Rebecca Minkoff has a new shape for her Fall 2009 Collection. Introducing the Rebecca Minkoff Darling Shoulder Bag. It’s soft, slouchy, and it has an intriguing crescent shape. Nope, there’s nothing boxy about this “darling” new style. What I find most interesting about this bag is the tassel zipper pulls that can be found on either side. Now Rebecca Minkoff is not really known for doing tassels, so this was definitely something unexpected. But, personally, I think they are kinda cute. They give this bag a rocker-chic vibe without the employment of studs. Plus I love the idea of exterior pockets with vertical zippers. They make wonderful places to keep keys and cell phones! However, I do find the zippered belt that encircles the middle of the bag a bit more unusual. It isn’t necessarily bad, it just looks a bit out of place. I think the bag would look a tad sharper if the belt was plain leather instead and perhaps with a larger, more ornamental clasp. Overall I find the Rebecca Minkoff Darling Shoulder bag a wonderful addition to her collection. Heck, it even reminds me of Botkier a little bit and it just so happens that that is a good thing!

The Rebecca Minkoff Darling Shoulder Bag measures 14″ x 10″ x 5″ and it retails for $495. It is currently available for Pre-Order at Luna Boston!

Rebecca Minkoff Stud Nikki vs Tory Burch Stud Efram hobo
by Deysa on June 10, 2009 19 comments
Some handbags just compliment each other nicely. Although these two designer pieces aren’t exactly replicas of each other, if you pay close attention to the number of similarities they have in common, it’s enough to have these two pieces battle it out against each other.
First up is the famous Nikki hobo with a twist of bohemian chic in it. It’s the Supernova Stud Nikki by Rebecca Minkoff. Pebbled leather, studded banding throughout the sides, and a comfy flat shoulder strap all found on this famous hobo bag. It’s a favorite among many Minkette’s and one of the latest pieces to the Rebecca Minkoff collection.
Now for its match, to the left is the Efram Hobo bag by Tory Burch. Distressed leather, studs running at the sides, a single flat shoulder strap and of course, the familiar hobo silhouette. They’re both newbie’s within their line, except that the Studded Nikki made its debut a couple of months earlier than the Efram hobo. The Nikki measures in at 14” x 19” x 4” while Tory’s hobos dimensions are 14” x 18” x 4”. Price wise, the Efram hobo costs $550, while the Studded Nikki retails for $650.
Ladies, whats your input on these hobos and most importantly, which one is your favorite? You can find these hobo bags online through: shopbop

Aqualicious! Rebecca Minkoff Ibiza Mini Mini MAM Handbag

If you love the Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag and the Morning After Mini, then you just may love the Rebecca Minkoff Ibiza Mini Mini Handbag. The handbag is basically a clone of the Morning After Bag’s just a smaller version.
The measurements of the Ibiza Mini Mini Handbag are, 6″H x 9.5″L x 5″D, making the handbag a little smaller than the Morning After Mini Bag. Other features of the handbag include: zipper pockets on the front and sides; metal feet on the bottom; gold hardware; double rolled handles; and a detachable shoulder strap.
To me, the handbag looks quite tacky with a shoulder strap, so it’s a good thing it’s detachable. I think the handbag is too small to have a shoulder strap and it would look best being carried by the rolled handles.

Rebecca Minkoff’s Ibiza Mini Mini Handbag comes in four different colors: Black; Coral; Pool; Paper White. My favorite out of all the colors would have to be Pool. The color is so light, and perfect for the Spring season.
The handbag can be purchased at Shop Bop for $295, which I believe to be a great buy! Plus, if you thought the other Morning After Bags were too large for you, now you can get an even smaller version for a fraction of the price! The Ibiza Mini Mini Handbag is definitely an adorable bag that would look great in any collection.

Rebecca Minkoff Studded Nikki Hobo
by Marissa on April 1, 2009 8 comments
Rebecca Minkoff is taking advantage of the current “stud” trend, and redesigning some of her most popular pieces to fit the trend. She has just recently added the Nikki Hobo bag to her studded handbag collection and it looks fabulous.
The Rebecca Minkoff Studded Nikki Hobo bag, looks just like the regular Nikki handbag. Only this time studs outline the sides and strap of the handbag. At Nordstrom, the handbag comes in three different colors: Almond; Black; and Grape. All of the colors the Studded Nikki Hobo comes in are gorgeous, but the studs really stick out and really add more pizazz to the black version.
Other features of the handbag include a magnetic snap closure and interior zip and slip pockets. The measurements of the handbag are, 19″W x 15″H x 4″D, which is actually quite spacious. If you know you are familiar with the Rebecca Minkoff Nikki Hobo bag; you already know that the handbag is on the large side, and you can pretty much fit all of your essentials in the bag plus much more.
The Rebecca Minkoff Studded Hobo Bag can be purchased at Nordstrom for $650, which I believe to be a great buy for this handbag. The Nikki Hobo bag was always one of Rebecca Minkoff’s most beautiful crafted handbags, and now that it features studs makes it that much better.

Rebecca Minkoff Almond Stud Devote Belted Tote
by Marissa on March 25, 2009 17 comments
A lot of designers’ out there are getting in on the “stud trend” bandwagon and Rebecca Minkoff is no different. She’s hitting the stud trend scene with a vengeance with her beautiful studded handbags. Not only does she have a Morning After Bag featuring studs all throughout the handbag, but now she has a handbag called the “Stud Devote Belted Tote” and I must say it’s quite fabulous.
Rebecca Minkoff’s Stud Devote Belted Tote is stunning, and also very large. The measurements of the bag are 17″W x 11″H x 8″D, giving you plenty of room for all your essentials. Other features of the handbag include: a magnetic closure; protective metal feet; and an interior zip to name a few.
The handbag comes in a beautiful almond color, which contrasts beautifully with the hand-plated studs. Buckled belts featured on the front of the handbag give it a unique look and go very well with the studs.
The Stud Devote Belted Tote can be purchased at Nordstrom for $695. If you are looking to get a studded handbag to follow the latest trend, I would say this is one of the most stunning studded bags I have seen this season. Of course the Rebecca Minkoff Studded Morning After Bag is drop dead gorgeous, but the Stud Devote Belted Tote comes in a close second.

Rebecca Minkoff Knocked Up Baby Bag
by Deysa on March 23, 2009 19 comments
Oh baby! Any newbie mothers or mommy’s-to-be? Just because baby’s essentials will soon take over yours, doesn’t mean that you must carry the bulky boring mom bag. Don’t lose your taste; I say use the “I need a diaper bag” excuse to add a new designer bag to your collection.
I recently discovered that Rebecca Minkoff carried these goodies in her line, and I like ‘em! In case you haven’t already; meet the Knocked Up Baby bag. I like the polished look of this as its design is masked from the commonly seen tacky diaper bag. No logo’s or cartoon critters on this bag, instead, it’s classic, which will allow extended wear even after baby has grown. Dressed up or more practically dressed down, this would look great either way.
Pretty striped and logoed lining, extra interior pockets and a full sized changing pad are all found within the bag. This extra chic baby bag measures 12” x 15” x 7” and is currently available in simple black or navy, although a girly color addition would be nice to see.
Grab your diaper bag or update your current one for $475, via the Internet at: shopbop.com

You can carry this handbag during the day or at night and it will look stunning either way.
I have always been a fan of Rebecca Minkoff’s Morning After Bag not only is the handbag gorgeous, but it is also quite spacious. The Morning After Bag is so roomy that you can literally carry all of your essentials plus five times more and you will stil have plenty of room for more goodies.
I absolutely love a handbag that you can carry on your arm or your shoulder, and the Rebecca Minkoff Stud Morning After Bag lets you do just that. When you can wear a handbag 1-of-2 ways, it makes the handbag that much more meaningful especially in your growing collection. Some other details of the handbag include: double handbag straps with a 7″ drop; top zip closure; outside zip pocket; and nylon lining.
The Rebecca Minkoff Stud Morning After Bag can be PRE-ORDERED over at Saks Fifth Avenue for $685. If you decide to snatch one of these beauties up, know that the handbag will be shipped no later than March 30, 2009.
