Vibrant Versace Metallic Tote
This Versace silver basketwoven tote takes metallic to the next level. The silver metallic leather combined with the rhinestones and silver hardware makes this bag wonderfully glamorous. This bag combines so many different trends…basketwoven leather, metallic coloring, silver hardware, and sparkling rhinestones…and somehow makes it look amazing and not disastrous. But what else can we expect from Versace? This bag truly signifies everything that Versace is about. It is bright, funky, bold, and luxurious. You can always expect Versace to take a risk, and with this risk they definitely succeeded.

I personally love this bag. It is hard to find metallic bags that can contain the look of luxury and couture. Often times, the metallic leather can cheapen the look of the bag. I think what really does it with this bag is the big rhinestone “V” in the middle outlined by the silver leather. Maybe, the “V” just hits close to home (V=Vanessa hehe), but I’m definitely a fan of this bag. This is one of those bags that stands out from the crowd. It can be spotted from a mile away and turn any boring outfit from boring to glamorous.

Envelope Style Clutches for ALL budgets
The envelope clutch is classic piece that’s destined to never go out of style. There are so many different versions floating around out there, all varying in price by different designers, but when it all comes down to it — they all share the envelope style.

After combing through the galactic space of the world wide web, I narrowed it down to 8 fantastic pieced for all budgets, that range from $14.99 for a super high glossy plastic envelope clutch and on up to $1,660 for an alarming red patent purse. Of course there are other fabulous pieces that can be found in the middle range, my picks are detailed below.

Xhilaration Envelope Clutch – It’s exhilarating to know that you don’t have to dish out major cash on a clutch that you’ll probably wear only once or twice a month. This super cheap Xhilaration clutch isn’t the prettiest of the bunch, but hey, it gets the job done.

Daisy Fuentes Turn-Lock Flap Clutch - Since when does Daisy Fuentes have a handbag line at Kohl’s? I’ve never really shopped at this deparment store, heck I never even heard of them until Simply Vera, Vera Wang line moved in on the shelves. Anyway, I think this is a great find for $25. Forever21 you can’t beat that!

Vivre Leather Envelopes - These Vivre pieces are my far my favorite of the bunch. Available is juicy bold attention grabbing colors, plus they are made of embossed leather, giving it the crocodile exotic look, without the steep exotic price tag.

Loeffler Randall Katia Envelope Clutch - A simple envelope style clutch with a touch of attitude. Loeffler Randall could have just popped out the traditional same old envelope purse, but no, this designer threw some studs into the mix. I love it. It gives it a day-to-night sort of look to it.

Luella Heart envelope clutch - Mirror mirror on the clutch, who’s the fairest envelope clutch of them all? If you love metallics –who doesn’t?– then you will love Luella’s heart ornamented envelope purse.

Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Envelope Clutch - Okay, do you remember those beautiful croc-print Vivre clutches I mentioned like 2 seconds ago, well check out this beauty. If you are looking for the real deal — genuine crocodile — then this is the clutch for you. It runs about $1k+ more than the Vivre leather version, but still this is an investment piece.

Versace Couture Clutch - Dressed in woven quilted Greek key logo pattern throughout in metallic grained leather. This piece will flow with any spring - summer outfit from day to night. This piece is also a little bit bigger than the average clutch (11″x 6.5″x 1.25″), so it also comes with a shoulder strap, to transform it into a envelope style bag.

Brian Atwood Mattie Patent Clutch- And finally we have arrived to the last of fab envelope style clutches, the patent Mattie by Brian Atwood. This vintage-inspired patent purse features a longer triangular flap-cut then the other pieces, that combined with the high patent gloss make this piece look extra sleek and stylish.

Versace ‘Couture Fringes’ extra large hobo.
This season, I’ve seen many brands and designers add fringe detail to their accessories, (especially targeted in handbags). What do you all think of fringe? Is the style back, or should it stay in whatever fashion era it was left in? Personally, I can’t say I like it fringe, but I don’t hate it either. Some handbags look decent with fringe, while others can simply be called fashion-disaster!

Take for example, Versace’s Couture Fringes extra large hobo. Many can agree, that Versace’s extra ordinary handbags are either a hit or a miss, depending on whom you ask. Some like Versace’s noticeable handbags, while others, seem to dislike the extras Versace always seems to apply to its handbags. Versace’s Couture Fringes hobo is finished in a whole grained leather body, and two-toned hardware. Laced leather runs vertically through the center of the handbag, and yes, Versace did add one of its favorite details, studs! Studs can be found running down the side of the bag, and around its zipper area. I like the dimensions of this hobo. Measuring in at 21” x 14” (excluding the fringe), this handbag is huge, and certainly not an everyday-bag size. So overall, what do I think about this Versace? Personally, I dislike it a lot; it contains way too much fringe for my taste, and the shape of the bag isn’t really appealing to me. What about you Bagista’s? Would you wear this Versace?

Versace Snap Out of It Bag
The Versace Snap Out of It handbag got a makeover. The old bag was dressed in the Versace logo quilted leather fabric with the signature Versace-engraved gold metal stud and chain links, metallic gold leather braided arm straps and to top that all off this bag is ornamented with gold mirror plaque engraved with “Gianni Versace Couture”, and dangling to the side a removable strap attached to tiny keys that open the gold metal signature Versace-engraved locks. Yes that was the old version. . . well, give a warm welcome to the toned down Snap Out of It Satchel (pictured above). Solid color patent leather bag decorated with polished silver metal studs. Versace | Quilted Snap Out of It Bag | $1,760 | View!
I like Versace, really I do, but this bag just doesn’t do it for me. IMO the designers at Versace need to snap out of it, tone it down a degree or two. There is way too much going on for me to fall head over heels for this Versace Quilted Snap Out of It bag. This Versace logo quilted leather fabric bag with its metallic gold leather braided arm straps and signature Versace-engraved gold metal studs and chain links and to top that all off this bag is ornamented with gold mirror plaque engraved with “Gianni Versace Couture”, and dangling to the side a removable strap attached to tiny keys that open the gold metal signature Versace-engraved locks. That sounds like a lot just writing it out, but see for yourself in the picture above. One characteristic I do like about this bag is the shape, mostly because it sort of reminds me of the Louis Vuitton Speedy. Just the shape though, nothing else about this bag looks anything like what you would see on a Louis Vuitton purse.

A little bit late to be posting Celebrity Picture of the Day for Monday but I couldn’t resist posting this snapshot of Liz Hurley. So here she is leaving the Cipriani restaurant. Kind of hard to see, but the bag she is carrying is the Versace Canyon medium suede croc bag. To be honest at first I wasn’t too fond of this evening bag, when I first discovered it on eluxury I thought it looked like a squashed purse, but after rediscovering it on gorgeous Liz Hurley I have fallen for it.

Versace | Canyon Medium Suede and Croc
Maybe it’s just me, but the shape of this bag confuses me. It looks like it got squashed. If this bag wasn’t Versace I normally wouldn’t take the time to tell everyone about it. However being as how it is from the famous Versace House I must tell you all about this Canyon Medium Suede and Croc Bag.

So while I don’t like the squished frame of the bag, I do love the gorgeous plush suede with croc-embossed leather combined with the polished gold metal buckles, rounded links and of course the iconic medusa medallion. This interestingly different bag is available in tan (which looks pink to me by the pictures), pale yellow, and white ivory.
