Versace Metallic Purse

versace handbags: Versace Metallic Purse
It’s been quite some time since somebody has mentioned Versace around here; as a matter of fact, talk over the luxury brand has been pretty calm. What has Versace headquarters been up to? Or more like, why haven’t I kept up with them. I’m not too fond of the designer brand, I mean, they’re Versace, so I applaud them, but other than that, the brand has never done much for my likings.

One of their latest releases for the Fall/Winter Collection is the Logo-Trim Metallic Shoulder Bag. Once I spotted this handbag, I wasn’t surprised at its appearance; actually, it was just what I expected out of Versace. As usual, there’s logo designs, chains, oversized studs, and lots and lots of gold… everywhere! Coated canvas and pvc makes up this handbag and that’ll be a slight difference to the designers popular choice of stiff sheer leather. I could work with coated canvas, it’s quite durable actually, but even if I was to consider this handbag, I dislike its silhouette so badly. Its trapezoidal figure isn’t too pleasant, plus it looks really uncomfortable as well.

This Versace bag retails for $1370, and would make a great addition to the girl who isn’t afraid of a lot of bling.

Versace Frame Satchel

Versace Frame Satchel
Any Versace fans out there? The House of Versace presents this extra-framed satchel this season and personally speaking, I’m undecided on whether I like this or not. New and available to you through Nordstrom’s, is the Frame Satchel (simple and to the point). I tend to stay away from beyond stiff handbags; reasons being I can’t justify carrying them as an everyday bag, plus any handbag with sag seems more comfortable, which I much rather prefer.
Versace Frame Satchel Bag
This piece comes loaded with numerous studs and zippers, and double 3” top handles that appear to be quite uncomfortable. Lucky buyer as a detachable shoulder strap is also included for your convenience. This gleaming framed top satchel is ready to dress up. Pair this accessory with casual dresses or office wear for a classy and sophisticated look. This measures in at 15” x 10” x 9”, and carries an extremely steep price tag of $3,995! I say that’s a bit too much to ask for as I would rather invest on something much more classic. Ladies, what’s your input on this satchel?

Versace Quilted Couture East – West Bag

Versace Quilted Couture East – West Bag
Here is a bag that looks quite unique but I’m on the fence about it. The unique handbag I’m talking about is the Versace Quilted Couture East/West Bag and it does have a cute factor to it. The handbag is very small, so small that it definitely isn’t a bag you would use for everyday use. Now for a eye popping handbag that is small, for a night out on the town, it’s perfect. Only downfall about this handbag is that it currently is only available in white over at eLUXURY, if a black version was available the Versace Quilted Couture East/West Bag would be a beauty! The handbag is very tiny so you can’t fit much other than your essentials in it, but the golden hardware featured on the handbag is fabulous. My absolute favorite part about the bag are the braided golden metallic leather handles with gold metal tips, and to me that makes the bag that much more stunning. It’s not too often you see gold handles on a bag that look like metal, but perhaps that is just the picture giving us that illusion. Gorgeous little bag, but if only it was worth the price.

The Versace Quilted Couture East/West Bag is currently available at eLUXURY for $2,375. I’m sorry fellow bagista’s but for a bag that small, is it really worth that much? It’s an adorable bag but, for a bag that really isn’t for everyday use, the price tag seems a bit much to me. Stunning bag, hideous price.

Versace Venus Ostrich Stamped Patent Handbag

Versace Venus-Ostrich Stamped Patent Bag
Last week I wrote about the Versace Croc Embossed Patent Leather Satchel and now this week I bring to you the Versace Venus-Ostrich Stamped Patent Bag. Not as pretty at the Satchel but definitely very unique. The handbag is featured in the ever popular purple for this fall. In my opinion, gorgeous color not so gorgeous texture though. The Ostrich stamped leather, to me, makes the handbag look ridiculously gaudy as if it’s another piece of jewelry. The Ostrich may be on the not so pretty side, but I’m loving the patent leather. I’ve always been addicted to patent leather and to see a purple bag in patent leather is a sight you don’t see very often. Some positives about the handbag is that is conveniently has: patch pockets on the side, a magnetic snap closure, a flat patent base with metal feet, and a zip, patch and cell phone pocket inside.

The price tag on Versace handbags make me screech. All Versace handbags are priced very high and this handbag is no different than the others. The Versace Venus-Ostrich Stamped Patent Bag is priced at $2,880. Looks like the only thing I’m loving about this handbag is the purple patent leather.

have always loved the Versace Leather Satchel in just about every color. It has always reminded me of the Louis Vuitton Multicolore Speedy 30, which is one of my favorite handbags in the world. Like the Multicolore Speedy, the Versace Croc Embossed Patent Leather Satchel has detail all over it. The handbag has two beautiful logo-detailed locks on the front and side of the bag, ironically just like the Louis Vuitton Multicolore Speedy. One aspect this handbag has beat over the Speedy is the protective feet on the “bottom” of the bag. Yes, the Speedy has feet on the angles, but they are prone to scratches and are visible to the fashionista’s eye. The satchel comes in a beautiful Navy blue color, but it is patent leather. In other words, this handbag is very fragile due to patent leather scuffing so easily.

All in all, the Versace Croc Embossed Patent Leather Satchel is a gorgeous handbag but it comes with a not so gorgeous price. Versace has always been known for it’s high-fashion items and this handbag is no exception. The Versace Croc Embossed Patent Leather Satchel has a retail price of $2,665. Very high price, but you would be surprised how many women snatch these handbags up every season when a new color comes out. If you are loving the Versace Croc Embossed Patent Leather Satchel in Navy act now before it’s sold out.

Versace is one of those designer brands that carry handbags that I usually tend to stay away from. Its not because I dislike their designs or their handbags in general, its mainly for the fact that they’re a bit too flashy and detailed for my taste. Versace never fails to add metal hardware, giant studs, and Medusas throughout their bags. Sometimes… well, actually most of the time, I feel that they get a bit too excited and carried away on those poor leather bags of theirs. I swear, sometimes I think Versace’s bag look like top-secret weapons or like accessories from the future. But of course I’ve also ran into their simple and less flashy handbag designs, which I find more appealing to my taste.

Check out the embossed patent leather tote in plum. I really don’t know if I dislike it or not. I mean, yeah it’s got those sharp “killer” looks that would make me nervous carrying it, but I do dig the deep plum hue found along the bag. What do you gals think about this Versace? Do you find this bag to be stunning and elegant? Or a bit too much on the Goth side? This is definitely a bag that must be seen and tried on in person, and until I get to see it in real life, I’ll just stay neutral to my likings towards this Versace.

Versace Jacquard Metallic Hobo Bag

Versace Jacquard Metallic Hobo Bag
Versace Jacquard Metallic Hobo Bag
Lately I’ve been seraching for designer bags without the all-over logo. But, when I came across this simple hobo by Versace, I really admired the subtle signature logo seen throughout the bag, and in a smaller quantity. What’s great about the logos is the fact that they’re a face and not the common letter or initial that is seen among high end designers. This is the type of purse that would have people wondering who makes it, since the Versace logo isn’t as widespread. The new Jacquard Metallic Hobo Bag by Versace is a great neutral-toned and unique signature piece that doesn’t scream it’s designer’s name, and would make a great addition to any collection.

I love the golden Medusa logo charm that hangs from the top. I’m really liking every detail except for one, which is the size. It is big enough and masures 12″W X 9″H X 8½”D. But I’m not so sure on how I feel about a bag that is 8.5 inches wide. I’m wondering if it would bunch up or get squished underneath the arm or something. I would personally prefer a smaller width. This would be the only trait that would prevent me from actually getting the bag. Anyways, the price tag on this one is resonable at $730.

See it over at Saks
