Yves Saint Laurent Animal Print Muse Two Bag
by Deysa on June 18, 2009 11 comments
Yves Saint Laurent has taken one of their most popular styles to the jungle; meet the exotic animal print Muse Two. I’ve always been a fan of the infamous Muse Two bag, and the variety of leathers and colors you could pick from has always been great, although I’m not too thrilled about their leopard print version. You must be super diva or possibly Carrie Bradshaw in order to pull this bag off, as it’s definitely head turning and tribal. Don’t get me wrong animal print lovers, as I do admire exotic prints on accessories, just not this theme in particular. I really think what gets to me about this bag is the fact that it’s made of pony skin, as I’m not too fond of uncommon leathers. I personally would pass on the leopard print Muse Two, but for the ladies who admire this piece, I can see what how elegant and classic this bag is for being an animal print accessory.

This luxe tote could be worn on the shoulder or crook of the arm, and features multiple compartments for your necessities. Also, who knew silver toned hardware would look so good on this YSL bag. This exotic piece comes with a hefty price tag of $2,295 and can be purchased: Here @ NET-A-PORTER.COM

*Thrifty Thrill* Bold and Colorful Wallets over @ Bluefly

The next best thing to handbags and shoes has got to be the handy dandy wallet. Many ladies favor the ease of owning a single wallet, while others swap them daily as they would a purse. I myself own a single practical piece, but the idea of adding a new addition doesn’t sound like a bad idea. Listed below include some of my favorite candidates right now, they’re fun, bold, and some serious eye candy.
All the hype over colorful wallets starts off with the ‘azure’ Gabby continental by no other than Hype. Besides the glazed blue leather, the oversized zipper pulls are fun and the many interior compartments are also great. You can find this wallet at an amazing price of $51!
Balenciaga fans, how does a mandarin orange wallet marked down 20% sound? Giant silver hardware adorns this beauty and the interior features are truly satisfying. You just can’t beat luscious Italian leather sporting one of the season’s hottest colors.
Yves Saint Laurent’s Y-Mail continental wallet has been a favorite amongst many Bagista’s and that’s really no surprise. YSL delivers a really unique and way cool design, especially in pretty fuchsia/gold. Available in shiny patent leather for $476.
If you’re digging the darker berry colors instead, Chloe’s ‘Paraty’ wallet in dark purple looks like a winner. With distressed leather like that and shiny gold hardware, I give this piece a two thumbs up!
Whichever wallet catches your attention the most, you simply can’t go wrong either one. These are just a few of the many beauties you can find on sale right now. Discover many more fun and bold wallets via: Bluefly

Julie K Eliza Flat Tote VS. Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Tote
by Marissa on April 9, 2009 9 comments
While browsing around Couture Candy, I came across a bag that looked quite familiar. It was called the Eliza Flat Tote in Black Patent by Julie K, but I knew that Julie K wasn’t the high fashion designer I was thinking of that made this bag. It suddenly clicked in my head that this handbag looked like, none other than, the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Flat Tote. Suddenly the handbag wasn’t as appealing to me anymore.

(above: Tribute on sale at bluefly)
The Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Tote can cost you anywhere from about $900-$1,400, and to see another designer basically make a look-a-like version of the handbag, for a fraction of the price, is a little appalling. I understand handbag lovers worldwide may think this handbag is amazing, because they can get a handbag that resembles a Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Tote for a more affordable price. When you think about it though, is this case any different than that of Forever 21?
Forever 21 is known for stealing ideas from high fashion designers, and selling a horribly fake version at the store. How is that case any different than what Julie K did? You decide for yourself.
Some details of the Julie K Flat Tote include: fuchsia lining; interior pockets; brass hardware; magnetic closure; and 100% genuine black patent leather. The measurements of the handbag are 16” W x 18” L making the handbag perfect for when you have quite a few stylish essentials to carry.
The Eliza Flat Tote in Black Patent can be purchased at Couture Candy for $473, which is a little expensive for a handbag that resembles a high fashion handbag. I will say though, if you always loved the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Tote this can be your chance to get a handbag that looks like it was inspired by it to the fullest.

New Designer Man Bags / Mags / Murses @ Saks
by Deysa on February 24, 2009 14 comments
Man Bag, Mag, or simply Travel & Luggage. Whichever you choose to call it, men all around the world are preferring to carry their essentials in a roomier compartment other than their pant pockets. In my area, the messenger styled bag wins the popularity contest, and over at Saks (dot com), they carry even more styles to choose from.
Up first is the messenger styled bag, the Prada way. Prada presents their version as causal and definitely masculine. I really like the combination of Prada nylon with rich leather and the variety of colors are appealing, yet allow this piece to match with almost anything.
For the trendy man, Gucci presents their latest duffle in one of the hottest colors right now, Cobalt. It’s got double handles, vertical zippers, and silver tone hardware, and seriously, how striking is that hue!
Got a crave for logos? Gucci’s classic GG logoed duffle gets a makeover with vintage inspired orange/khaki/white leather trims. Luggage tag, removable strap, lock and keys are included with this piece.
Last but not least, the perfect accessory for Mr. Sophisticated. Yves Saint Laurent presents the Muse Travel Bag and wow is it gorgeous! It’s rich, large, and made of Buffalo leather. Yeah, I won’t be surprised if some of you gals pick this up for yourself… you know… to travel and stuff.

Yves Saint Laurent Easy Patent Bag
by Marissa on January 26, 2009 20 comments
I absolutely love patent handbags and I have just found a new love interest in the Yves Saint Laurent Easy Patent Bag. Everything about this handbag is stunning, especially the beige patent leather, which you don’t see too often on patent leather handbags.
My favorite feature of the handbag is actually the shape of the bag. The measurements of the handbag are 15½”W X 12″H, which gives you plenty of room for all your stylish essentials. The Yves Saint Laurent Easy Patent Bag has double straps with a six inch drop and even has a type of clasp on the sides of the purse giving you the option to wear the handbag one of two different ways.
The Yves Saint Laurent Easy Patent Bag can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue for $995, which isn’t that bad of a price. Yves Saint Laurent has always been known to have high costing handbags, but I would think the Easy Patent Bag would of been more due to the patent leather.
I personally do not own any handbags by Yves Saint Laurent, but if I had the extra cash lying around I would definitely snatch this handbag up. It’s beautiful, patent leather, and actually not priced that high for an Yves Saint Laurent bag.

Yves Saint Laurent Top Handle Bag
When most people think of Yves Saint Laurent, they think of the very popular Muse. Admittedly, the Muse is a very nice and versatile style. Lately, however, it seems that us Bag Bliss bloggers have been exploring the lesser known YSL styles. So I thought I would give it a go and share this handbag with all of you. Introducing a fairly new style, simply referred to as the Yves Saint Laurent Top Handle Bag. It is smaller than the typical Muse, but it still packs quite a punch. I love the beautiful Bronze color. In fact, Bronze happens to be my favorite color when it comes to metallics. It’s exterior shape resembles that of a Louis Vuitton Alma, but the Yves Saint Laurent Top Handle Bag has a way more functional interior. This bag has a total of five compartments inside. This includes three zippered compartments and two open compartments. This would definitely be a plus for someone who is looking for more organization. I know that big, bottomless totes are “in” right now. But sometimes you just get tired of digging around on the bottom of you bag looking for something. Sometimes it is just better for everything to have its own place. Does anyone else know what I’m talking about here?

The Yves Saint Laurent Top Handle Bag measures 13.5″ x 10″ x 5.75″ and it’s short double handles have a 4.5″ drop. The front of the bag features an updated “Y” signature. Personally, I like the traditional “Y” better. Oh well, I guess not everything can be perfect. This bag is available in Bronze over at Saks.com, where it retails for $1,995.

Yves Saint Laurent Tanger Handbag Collection

Yves Saint Laurent Tanger Handbag Collection
I don’t know anybody who has ever disagreed with the statement, that the house of Yves Saint Laurent comes out with classic handbags. Styles that are so simple and clean, destined to last years without the fear of becoming dated. They’re the type of bags that years down the road, when your grandchildren are rummaging through your long forgotten about treasure trove of vintage purses, will still be in.
One of the latest new pieces by Yves Saint Laurent, is the Tanger. The Tanger isn’t your ordinary YSL handbag, as you might have noticed the intense gloss of the fabric. The Tanger line is made completely of Satin, for a more dressy look.
What’s great about this line, and I’m sure most will agree with me, is that it’s so much cheaper than the leather line. The Large Pouchette (8.5″ width x 4.5″ height x 1/2″ depth) retails for only $345 and the Large Tote (14″ width x 13″ height x 4″ depth ) retails for $645.

However, since this bag is made of satin, I’m sure it’s not going to be as durable as the daily leather version. Although, since the bags are made completely of satin, I doubt one would use this as an everyday bag. Semi-dressy, the glossy look would complement any evening look.
What do you ladies think of the satin Tanger?
