Way to go Yves Saint Laurent as they present one of their iconic handbags in a more comfortable and maintenance free version. It’s the Muse bag, that’s right it’s back; this time around it arrives lined in Nylon!

Designers such as Prada and Fendi never fail to release those not-too-expensive and worry free nylon bags sporting their logo.

Some styles might not be so attractive, but they really put up in the test of time. So the infamous Muse in “rich” black nylon features the same details over the original leather Muse bags we all know and love, correct trimmings and details are all found in the same exact spot, its just a matter of whether you’d stick to the leather version or the new nylon.

Nylon sounds great if you want a designer handbag that you wouldn’t mind taking out with the kiddos or if you’re like my teenage sister with her bags… careless. But then on the other hand, you simply can’t compare the appearance of a nylon piece to a classic rich leather version. Just when I’m about to state that I would go with either one, the price tag of the Nylon Muse reads $1,195. I think I’d rather stretch my dollar and invest $200 more for a Suede Muse or $400 more for a classic YSL leather Muse.

I’ve been on the search for a new black patent leather bag. I’m obsessed with patent leather and I’m due for another bag. Patent leather is amazing, but after a while it loses it’s luster and shine. I personally don’t like when my patent leather bags aren’t shiny anymore so my hunt continues until I decide on which bag I want to invest on.

So far, I’ve seen two bags that I’m in love with. The YSL Easy Handbag and the Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini. Both are stunning and available in black patent. The only difference is the pricing! The Rebecca Minkoff MAM is significantly cheaper than the YSL Easy Handbag.

I currently own one Rebecca Minkoff bag, and I can’t stop using it. Her MAM is one of the most amazing satchels I have ever seen and used. The shape and style of the bag is stunning and it even has plenty of room for all your essentials. I’m not quite sure why “mini” is even in the bag’s name. No part of the MAM is small, and it hold just as much as a Louis Vuitton Speedy 30. In fact the name of the bag should of been the Morning After Medium Bag, or something close to it.

The Rebecca Minkoff Black Patent Morning After Mini can be purchased at Feng Junk $550. The MAM is such an amazing bag to add to a handbag collection and to find it in black patent leather is amazing! It’s a beautiful bag, and I’d say it’s worth every penny!

It’s that time of year again! The leaves have fallen and the weather is turning colder. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will be here before we know it! Oh my, where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday that I was having to remember to write 09, instead of 08, when writing the date on my checks.

With the days passing by so quickly, it may be a good idea to start thinking of potential Christmas gifts for that special someone. What’s new for Fall over at Yves Saint Laurent? That’ll be a classic with a kick to it. Of course YSL wasn’t going to hold out their infamous Muse for the winter season, even if it involved the Muse making a debut in one of the brightest colors you could find in your standard crayon box. I sure was surprised to spot the Large Leather Muse bag in a summery shade of yellow for Fall/Winter, although it’s not the most popular seasonal color right now, I think the designers at YSL headquarters did a magnificent job of releasing something as stunning as this is. It’s the classic design with everything we love about the Muse but with a slight improvement on the rich calfskin leather, this season, the Muse arrives thicker and a lot butterier than ever! Shape, hardware, and lining are all in place, but of course, let’s keep on talking color here. I could never do with a yellow handbag, unless it’s as rich and muted as this one is. I would totally wear this all fall/winter long, better yet; I’d wear it year round. If the new “Topaz” isn’t exactly your cup of tea, check out the pretty new shade of Brown that’s new to the season as well.

Yves Saint Laurent Leather Flap Shoulder Bag

While browsing Yves Saint Laurent new accessories line, it was the simple Leather Flap Shoulder Bag that caught my attention. I’ve always had a strong admiration for the loud and fun designer handbags, but the simple classic ones have always won me over. Yves Saint Laurent can’t get any classier than this. This giant tote like bag is detained by a silver push lock closure and upon unlocking it, a giant leather flap reveals a wide storage area of rich black suede lining. The supple texture of this leather gives character to this piece and adds a twist to your ordinary leather handbag. With its chic silhouette and modern leather shoulder strap, it’s appearance brought back memories of how much I still lust for an Yves Saint Laurent Muse Two bag. As I admire this bags silver toned accented hardware, I wonder if this could be the bag that’ll replace the Muse Two on my wish list? I could debate them all day but in the end, I have no funds for a $1,895 handbag at the moment. Maybe for Christmas… just maybe.

I’m completely obsessed with black patent leather handbags and I’m always on the hunt for the next gorgeous one I can find. While browsing around SaksFifthAvenue.com, I came across what is probably the most beautiful patent leather handbag I have ever seen. The bag is the Yves Saint Laurent Patent Leather Hobo and it is making my heart go pitter patter!

There isn’t one thing, I don’t like about this bag. I especially love the shoulder strap with the silvertone hardware. Even the size of the bag is perfect! It’s one of those shoulder bags that has so much room, that you can just throw everything inside it and the magnetic closure will close on its own.

If I had to choose the “must have” bag for the upcoming Fall season, I would definitely pick the Yves Saint Laurent Patent Leather Hobo. It really has that bold, classy, and stylish look to it that not all bags have. Plus, the best thing about black patent leather is that it’s so easy to match anything with. Anything you wear, would compliment this handbag well. This is probably a bag I would tote around all year long, and not just on certain seasons.

Yves Saint Laurent Spiral Clutch + a YSL Freebie!

Fashion meets stationary in one of the latest accessories to hit the runway this fall; it’s the Spiral Clutch by Yves Saint Laurent. Its name is self-explanatory and there’s no secret to it, this clutches most noticeable detail is hands down its spiral bound edge.

This clutch arrives in patent black leather with a smooth suede interior, which I like. It also measures in at a typical medium sized notebook dimensions. I’d call this style dramatically cool, but something I wouldn’t be able to give into. I just can’t comprehend such an awkward detail of enhanced metal spirals being thrown onto a clutch, but if you’re in seek of an edgy addition to your collection, this unique piece might be for you.
