Last Spring I introduced to Bag Bliss the Beirn Jenna Tote. The brightly colored watersnake skin tote offered an inexpensive alternative to those handbag enthusiasts interested in having an exotic handbag. Not to mention the colors were to die for! Remember Sarah Jessica Parker’s orange version? Wowza! It seemed like everyone was in love with that bag! Well I just came across a new style from Beirn (pronounced “burn”) while browsing the Bloomingdale’s website today. Introducing the Beirn Ruthie Large Tote! This lovely tote features rolled double handles that have been threaded through the top portion of the bag and drawn together into a circular shape, resulting in a gentle gathering of material. I think the scrunching accents the exotic texture very nicely, giving this bag a very glamorous feeling. Plus I really like the glossy look of the Black version. It really adds to that glamor vibe. This bag would be perfect for this Fall/Winter season, as I hear exotics are going to be hot again. This beauty is definitely worth checking out. And since it is relatively inexpensive compared to other exotics out there, you won’t need to feel guilty once the “trend” has faded.

The “Nikki” hobo bag has always been one of my favorite handbags by Rebecca Minkoff. It comes in at a close second right behind the Morning After Bag. The “Nikki” has been made in so many different colors, that it’s so hard to choose one that was the prettiest. The “Cobalt” Nikki sticks out in my mind the most. It was one of the most beautiful colors of blue I had ever seen!

I recently came across the “Nikki” Python Embossed Hobo, and it was just as stunning as the Cobalt “Nikki”. Yes, the handbag might not me made of real snakeskin, but it’s still an amazing bag overall. I love the pattern and colors of the embossed python skin. The colors really pop out on this handbag, and just add to the beauty of the bag.

I would probably not carry this bag around in the Fall or Winter. To me, this bag screams Spring. When I see the color yellow featured on clothes, handbags or shoes I picture them being used during the Spring. I can’t seen this handbag being paired up with any Fall or Winter clothes. Perhaps, if yellow is one of your favorite colors, then you can somehow figure out how to use this handbag all year long.

The Rebecca Minkoff “Nikki” Python Embossed Hobo can be purchased at Bloomingdales for $395, which is an amazing price for a Rebecca Minkoff bag! “Nikki” bags are usually prices over $500, so to see one this reasonably price is great! get your’s before they’re all gone!

I love clutches but I love Michael Kors more, and together they make one fine accessory. I’m currently drooling over the Michael Kors “Studio Bow” Clutch. I’m usually not one for croc embossed leather. To me, croc embossed leather just kills the idea of having real croc leather on a handbag. It has never looked appealing to me, but when I saw this clutch I think I may have had a change of heart.

What I love most about this clutch, as simple as it sounds, is the bow! I love when bags are “cutesy” and I think this clutch is the epitome of cute. I really think the bow is what sticks out the most in the clutch and helps the croc embossed leather look less tacky.

Another great thing about this clutch is that it’s so versatile. This clutch can be carried all year long, and day or night. It’s not too casual to only be used as a day clutch, and it’s not too fancy to only be carried during the evening. You could carry this clutch around wearing casual and fancy clothes. This clutch can be paired up with so many different looks that it definitely makes it all the more reason to buy it!

The Michael Kors “Studio Bow” can be purchased at Zappos for $302.75, which mind boggles me. The original price of this clutch was $599. How can a clutch that is made of croc embossed leather possibly cost almost $600? The most I would think this clutch would cost is $250, but boy was I way off. It’s a cute accessory to have, but I’m afraid to say it’s not worth that much. At least the sale price isn’t so bad. Right?

Marc Jacob’s has designed some of the most gorgeous handbags in the world and the “Rio” Snakeskin Embossed Satchel is one of them. It may not be made of real snakeskin but the handbag is absolutely breathtaking.

There are so many features I like about this bag, that I don’t even know where to start! I think what I love most about it, is the pink snakeskin-embossed leather. The leather is so pretty and then it’s decorated with all these shiny little studs which make the bag look even more amazing.

I also love the shape of the bag, and that it also has a shoulder strap. I tend to carry a lot in my bag, so when there is plenty of room for all my things plus more that makes any bag more desirable. The bag is very spacious and you can definitely fit quite a bit in it. The shoulder strap makes it convenient for people that like to carry their handbag different ways. I’ve always been one that had my heart set on satchel’s, but lately I’ve been loving shoulder bags. When I can choose which way I want to carry a bag, it makes me want the bag even more!

Another adorable feature about this satchel, is the padlock located in the front of the bag. I always love it when designer’s give us extra little “logo” features to go with our handbags. Some designer’s include a logo nameplate or even a detachable mirror. Louis Vuitton has always been known to include a little lock on the “Speedy” handbags, and it really gives the bag that extra special touch.

The padlock Marc Jacobs included on the “Rio” satchel accents the bag well. You have this gorgeous bag, and then right in the middle is a gleaming “logo” padlock. It’s the perfect final touch to this stunning handbag.

You can purchase the Marc Jacobs “Rio” Snakeskin Embossed Satchel at Nordstrom for $1,395. The price maybe a little high, but for a bag this gorgeous I’d say it’s worth it! Besides it’s not everyday you see a beautiful pink satchel like this one!

The Chat: MJ Rio!

I’m absolutely obsessed with Michael Kors. He’s pretty much my favorite designer out there, and I’m starting to love everything he comes out with. At this moment, I’m drooling over the Michael Kors “ID Chain Painted Python Hobo.” It’s absolutely beautiful and is probably one of the prettiest exotic handbags I’ve ever seen.

This bag caught my attention strictly because of the colors. The python skin was painted an array of different shades of pink and black and together they make a beautiful color combination. I also love the chain detail on the sides of the bag. The chain goes perfectly with the black color shade featured on it.

What I find interesting about this handbag, is that unless you read the little nameplate on the front of the bag you have no idea who designed it. I think that’s an added bonus all on its own. It’s so beautiful that if it had “Michael Kors” all over it, it would probably take away from the beauty of it.

Overall, this is a beautiful handbag inside and out. I absolutely love that it was designed to be a hobo style bag. The hobo shape compliments the bag well, and is the final touch to make everything about this handbag look stunning! The only thing scary in the description of it was the price!

The Michael Kors “ID Chain Painted Python Hobo” can be purchased at Bloomingdales for $1,995. It’s a beautiful bag, but I’m not sure it’s worth that much. Then again, being that it is made of genuine python skin, a high price was expected. If you are looking to purchase an exotic bag, I would consider this one because the colors alone make it worthy to add to any handbag collection.

While browsing through Saks looking for something catchy to blog about, I ran upon the collection of the glorious Nancy Gonzalez crocodile handbags up for grabs. So many styles and colors to choose from, I couldn’t decide which of all was my favorite, not that I have intentions of purchasing such a piece, as my kind student budget doesn’t allow me to at the moment. Besides the eye-catching hues of exotic crocodile leathers, I was really observant over the different styles of handbags within her collection.

Right now, purple is my color and the pleated shoulder bag in the berry hued croc leather is simply stunning. The choice of style for the large handbag type of gal who seeks a fun interpretation of elegance.

You’ll never go wrong in black! Besides this bags rich dark leather, its cutout handles makes this style different from the rest. This roomy arm candy is a safe color to go with and is sure to keep its classy look for years to come.

Simply stunning and possibly my favorite, a selection of rich python and crocodile leathers collaborate with this gorgeous shade of matte blue-grey. A detachable strap allows a comfortable way to wear or simply carry this baby on the arm. As for the studs how can you miss them, they add that rocker chic vibe to it piece, yet its overall presentation is simply luxurious!

Forrest green has never looked better! This stylish flap bag is the choice for the ladies who prefer a decent sized bag with characterized shoulder straps. A single matching link strap carries the weight of this purse and compliments this classy style perfectly.
