Linea Pelle Vanessa Hobo

Linea Pelle Vanessa Hobo
It seems that Linea Pelle has really been pushing the fringe trend lately. In fact, the styles from the Janis Fringe Collection seem to just pop up everywhere. Now I’m the kind of girl that likes tassels or a little bit of fringe, but the full fans of fringe featured on the Janis bags are just a tad too much for my personal taste. So when I came across the Linea Pelle Vanessa Hobo, I knew it was a match made in Heaven.

Sneak Peek: Miss Gustto Handbags

miss gustto: Sneak Peek: Miss Gustto Handbags
After seeing the Gustto Occhialli Bag featured during the 30 Days of Giveaways going on here at Bag Bliss and The Bag Forum, my interest in the brand was instantly rejuvenated. But how could it not be? After all, the bag was beautiful! And I have always had this deep admiration for Agathe Planchon. Her company began as a small, internet-based business. It certainly didn’t take Agathe long, however, to climb her way to the top of the fashion world and now her handbags are loved by celebrities and bagistas alike! Gustto handbags are simple, gorgeous, and unique. What more could a girl really ask for?

Foley + Corinna Metallic Snake Moto Hobo

Foley + Corinna Metallic Snake Moto Hobo
Glancing at this hobo for the first time, I would have never imagined this odd ball belonging to Foley + Corinna. It’s pretty different from the usual accessories the All-American brand tends to release.

Actually, this is the first time I run upon the moto style hobo’s that F+C has introduced this Fall/Winter season, and frankly, I like them.

From the looks of this, it’s not your typically structured handbag, as you might need to take a few to figure out what’s where on this slouchy hobo.

CC Skye Bridgette Gunmetal Fringe Bag

CC Skye Handbags: CC Skye Bridgette Gunmetal Fringe BagThere’s some serious fringe going on here and I can’t decide whether I like it or not. It’s those handles that make this piece stand out from the rest, as most of us are probably used to seeing the trendy fringe style dangle off the handbag itself, not so much off the carrying piece.

CC Skye brought this incorporation of gunmetal and silver fringe to its Leather Bridgette Purse, a handbag that will get a great amount of looks towards your way. I like the flap and turn lock style but although the chained fringe is quite appealing, I wonder if this is what ‘too much fringe’ looks like.

Your chains will swing to every move you take, and your peers might just be able to hear you as you approach them. Just do hope you can sustain the chain clutter off your arm, as this bag might just weigh you down a bit.

Pair this with dark clothing for a night out in town, and it’ll give your look a whole new meaning to the term heavy metal.

This all leather (python embossed) shoulder bag features an attractive magenta interior lining and a $540 price tag.

Botkier Taylor Crossbody Bag

Botkier Purses: Botkier Taylor Crossbody Bag
I’ve been told that crossbody bags are the hot “new” style for Fall 2009. Now this would be all fine and dandy with me if it weren’t for one tiny little detail. And when I say “tiny”, I mean that literally. While strolling around the mall last week, I spotted several displays of crossbody style handbags. But a vast majority of these bags were no larger than a Coach swing pack. These tiny bags are great for when you’re traveling and you don’t want to carry a real handbag, but they just don’t cut it when it comes to everyday use.

Where’s a good ol’ messenger style when you need one? Well it looks like Botkier has stepped up to the plate this season! Introducing the Botkier Taylor Crossbody Bag! It is the perfect size for everyday use and the crossbody styling allows you to be hands-free. I really like this bag because it has a fun bohemian vibe about it. The slouchy style features pinch pleat detailing and delicately laced fringe. It would look lovely paired with some distressed leather boots, which are also hot for Fall. What I think I like most about this bag, however, is that the style isn’t so trendy that you couldn’t still use it in the years to come.

The Botkier Taylor Crossbody measures 16″ x 11″ x 3″ and it retails for $525. Check it out in Brown at Luna Boston!

Rebecca Minkoff Tess Drawstring Bag

Rebecca Minkoff Tess Drawstring Bags
Attention Minkettes, another newbie has arrived from Rebecca Minkoff headquarters; introducing, the Tess Drawstring Bag. Actually, this isn’t a new creation to Rebecca Minkoff as this made its debut last year, but Tess is back by demand and arrives hotter than ever! When I hear about a new Minkoff bag hitting the bag racks, the majority of the time I imagine the classics with a fun twist to them. So I was quite surprised to see this fun adaptation of the popular drawstring bag we all know, and I simply love it! This is a piece that won’t go out of style and something you can carry year round, it’s classy, chic, and definitely cool. Besides its buttery soft pebbled leather, the next best thing I noticed was that oversized braided tassel, how fun is that! Not only does it serve as a giant décor to your bag, but also as the adjustable drawstrings closure. Lined in exclusive mosaic pattern for a pleasant contrasting effect and superb gold toned hardware, from work to play, this is a great piece to feed the new Fall rage of leather braids and fringe!

Jerome Dreyfuss Luciene Suede Fringe Bag

Jerome Dreyfuss Handbags: Dreyfuss Luciene Suede Fringe Bag
Jerome Dreyfuss is a designer that isn’t mentioned very often over at TBF. Oddly enough, however, this isn’t the first time I have featured the French designer in a blog post. His styles are often referred to as laid-back or relaxed. They are nonchalant, sometimes to the point of quirkiness. His use of supple leather and ultra-soft suede only serves to add to this effect. So it was no surprise when my gaze fell upon the handbag I have pictured here. Meet the Jerome Dreyfuss Luciene Suede Fringe Bag. No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you! Leopard print and fringe have been paired together in a single handbag. What I find interesting, however, is how the pouch on the front and the fringed panel are both detachable. So this bag can be worn three ways. Personally, though, I think the bag looks best without the pouch and fringe attached. This handbag is definitely something for the more eccentric person. Someone that is looking for something unique, even something a bit on the quirky side. This bag is something I personally would not buy for myself. And yet, for some reason, I find my eyes being drawn to it. Hmm… but perhaps that was what Jerome Dreyfuss had in mind.
