As we approach the warmer months ahead, I’m beginning to remember what Mr. Sun’s warm rays of light feel like. It might still be a bit too cool in my area to start stocking up on bathing suit gear, but it never hurts to browse around and start listing things to add to the beach wear section of your closet.

As soon as I spotted these beach totes by Diane von Furstenberg, I adored each one. For the Bagista in search of a new beach tote, you must check these out.

See by Chloe Bags: Ring Around Shoulder and Grasshopper Bag

As far as the brand See by Chloe goes, I wouldn’t call myself a fan. I refer to their accessories line in which most portray nothing more than unflattering looks and designs. I spotted these two newbie’s to the See by Chloe collection, and I’m quite impressed at how much I don’t dislike these bags, they’re actually decent…

The puddly “Ring Around Shoulder Bag” looks as functional as it appears fun. The classic hobo design in neutral black with a pebbly flat shoulder strap pretty much states that this bag won’t disappoint. Funky resin ring at the handles and a leather star zipper pull make fun characteristics to what would have been a simple black shoulder bag.

If you prefer your leather bags with a pop of hue and with a price tag under $600, the “Grasshopper” cross bag might be the See by Chloe bag for you. The color is great, it’s not exactly lilac and it’s not too purple, and I’d say it would make a great bag for the upcoming spring season. Two thumbs up for the gold toned hardware as it compliments the color nicely and of course the ability to carry this with the top handle or long strap for a messenger style is always nice.

For those of you ladies out there who haven’t heard, I have a new nephew. He is just barely 3 months old now and he is still so very tiny (a complete opposite of his sister when she was a baby)! Sneak Peek: Miss Gustto Handbags

After seeing the Gustto Occhialli Bag featured during the 30 Days of Giveaways going on here at Bag Bliss and The Bag Forum, my interest in the brand was instantly rejuvenated. But how could it not be? After all, the bag was beautiful! And I have always had this deep admiration for Agathe Planchon. Her company began as a small, internet-based business. Chains are back and they are better than ever! Well, that is, where handbags are concerned anyway. To be honest, I have always had a soft spot for bags with a chain strap. But what’s hot right now are chain details located elsewhere on a bag, not just as a strap. And when it comes to chains on handbags, I personally prefer something that isn’t too dainty. But I don’t want anything too heavy either. Why so picky? It’s simple! I don’t want to feel like I’m going to break it! However, I also don’t want a chain that is so big and heavy that it feels like I’m carrying around shackles! Yep, I’m a medium-sized chain gal all the way. But what I think is so neat about the so-called chain “trend” is that it can involve any kind of chain, big or small. So there is literally something out there for everyone. So without further ado… I present to you our top picks for chain-detailed handbags!

1. Marc Jacobs Stardust Cecillia Studded Satchel
Chain details that have nothing to do with a handbag’s strap may be hot, but no one can argue the feeling a chunky chain strap can give you. The Cecillia is such a gorgeous bag, with its studs and quilted leather. Heck, the chain strap is just icing on the cake!

2. Chloe Kira Chain Satchel
Wow, a chain border accenting an otherwise simple satchel. Who would have thunk it? This handbag is perfect for a person wishing for a neutral style with just a hint of uniqueness.

Coach Wallet Finder: discover which wallet was made for you.

I just received a mailer in my box about Coach’s new Wallet Finder. Where they match you up with one of their wallets, based on some of your preference criteria, such as function, size, design, and materials.

Why not, lets give it a try. I’m dying to know which wallet Coach has lined up for me….

First question they ask: “What size are you looking for?”
I picked medium. Not a fan of wallets that are too small and get lost amongst the other accessories in my purse. Also not a fan of larger sizes. Don’t really need the card space.

Next question pops up: “Do you have a favorite wallet style?”
I would have checked ‘not really’, if they asked, but since it’s not an opinion, I went ahead and went with the Compact clutch. After hovering over to get the details of each, I decided that one has the most useful features for me.

Now for fabric: “Do you have a preference on fabrication?”
I sure do. Didn’t take me long to answer this one. Leather. Although I have to admit, I think Coach’s new leopard print fabric is pretty rad.

Time to pick the shade: “Choose a favorite color”
This question actually took me a while to answer. I am all for bright and bold small accessories. Little things that just burst in vibrant color is something I crave. However… that is not an option in Coach’s little Wallet Finder. So disappointed. The options: choose between brown/khaki or grey/black. Alright, I guess I will go with black.

*drum roll please* and Coach matched me up with the Gramercy Embossed Leather Compact Clutch.

Impressed, because out of all the wallets displayed on coach.com, this was indeed my pick. I love the quilting. And usually I am so not one for picking up a signature bag, but this wallet is pretty darn cute. And even though I didn’t get to pick a bright color for the exterior, what I love about this little piece is when popped open, reveals a pretty pink interior. Fabulous!

What handbag collection wouldn’t be complete without something unique? Or perhaps even exotic? Well, how about both? Introducing Novica: an online, fair trade marketplace associated with National Geographic. Their mission is “to give artists and artisans around the world a global platform to express their true artistic talents and to spur their creativity”. They offer everything from home decor to jewelry to artwork. What really grabbed my attention, however, was their new handbag section. They have every shape, size, and style imaginable. Materials used include cotton, wool, silk, leather, beads, and even pop-tops. And the best part is, you don’t have to be interested in hippie-like styles to find something you’ll absolutely love there.

The bags are handcrafted by artisans from Bali, Java, Brazil, India, Mexico, and Thailand. I think what I love most about Novica is how they give a name and a face to associate with each piece. Each artist has a story to tell and it’s wonderful to learn a little something about them when you’re considering purchasing one of their works of art.
