Uh oh, football season is upon us again! All those football fans flooding into the malls to shop while they wait for the game to start. And then once the game starts, all of those people asking you what the score is when you have absolutely no clue. I’m sure I’m not alone here on this. But I also understand that there is another point of view when it comes to football. So all you football fans out there, this blog post is for you!

Introducing the Fossil Collegiate Collection. These are handbags and accessories that allow you to show your team spirit without having to wear a football jersey. The collection offers a wide variety of styles in both leather and canvas. There are styles you can use while traveling to away games and styles you can use everyday. Now if I were a football fan, I would have to pick the Varsity Spirit Clutch Wallet (pictured below on the far right). It is nice and clean-looking, perfect for everyday use. And even if you’re not a hardcore football fan yourself, these handbags and accessories seem like they would offer a few great gift ideas for a loved one who is.

The Fossil Collegiate Collection is available for the following teams: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana State, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M.
(Please note that I randomly chose Texas A&M to be pictured, so don’t be mad at me if you don’t like their team. I don’t know anything about them. LOL!)

Harajuku Lovers Bishoujo Athletic Bag

Harajuku Lovers Bishoujo Athletic Bag
Any Harajuku Lovers in here? We’re all familiar with Gwen Stefani’s fun and affordable pieces. Meet one of the latest styles made especially for her line, the Bishoujo Athletic Girls in red. Gwen’s Harajuku Lovers line isn’t something extremely popular, or at least it isn’t in my area. Occasionally, I’ll sight a tote or two at my local mall, but the smaller accessories such as the makeup bags and coin pouches are a lot more popular to spot around. Gwen directs this piece to you gals who want to break a sweat with style without having to splurge so much on a gym bag. The cute Bishoujo girl’s attire of choice is her workout outfit, which isn’t too flattering if you ask me. A deep red canvas and an actual whistle can be found on this nicely sized tote. I love the $58 price tag, which is pretty reasonable in my opinion. Would I spend that much on this tote? Probably not. It really isn’t something I could see myself using. If I were looking for an affordable tote bag with a cute character on it, I think Miss. Marc (MbMJ line) would win my vote over a Harajuku girl, any day. What do you girls think? Would you sport this tote?

See by Chloé ‘Daytripper’ Satchel Handbag
See by Chloé ‘Daytripper’ Satchel Handbag
There is two things I love when it comes to a purse: Patent leather and Satchels. I’ve never been one into shoulder bags, so every time I see a swanky new satchel that just hit the shelves I’m pretty much in love most of the time. Chloé has never been a designer brand that I want into. I always saw Chloé handbags as not attractive and way overpriced but the See by Chloé ‘Daytripper’ Satchel in Cherry is making me drool from cheek to cheek. The zip top closure, calfskin patent leather, and the detachable shoulder strap is really making my heart swoon over this handbag. There are even two zip top closure pockets in the front making in convenient to carry more everyday girl essentials.

Usually Chloé handbag prices are out of this world. They can range anywhere in the thousands. Luckily, for the handbag loving girls the See by Chloé handbags are actually quite affordable without hitting that thousand mark. See by Chloé ‘Daytripper’ Satchel has a price tag of $695, which is not bad at all for a Chloé handbag. The ‘Daytripper’ also comes in a Tote if you think the Satchel is too small for you. Satchel or Tote you can’t go wrong with either See by Chloé ‘Daytripper’ handbags.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Gets Physical Tote

Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Gets Physical Tote
The Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Gets Physical Tote is an interesting-looking bag, to say the least. It was brought to my attention when a fellow TBF’er, lambdalady2, was inquiring about it over in the Bag Forum. I’ll have to admit, it is sort of an oddball. But then again, Marc seems like he’s a bit of an oddball at times as well. But don’t get me wrong, this bag has it’s charm. In fact, I think it’s pretty darn cute for a casual tote bag.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Gets Physical Tote features a rather happy-looking Miss Marc. She is all decked out in her aerobics gear and ready to bust out the 80’s dance music. The only thing odd about this picture is the red marks on Miss Marc’s cheek. What happened? Did she “get physical” with some girl she didn’t like? Perhaps this was meant to be a joke — a play on words, so to speak. Whatever the case may be, there’s no disputing how well Marc is able to bring this character to life. I’ve seen her progress over the years from a girl that seemed quite sad to a girl that lights up the room with her cheerful smile.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Gets Physical Tote measures 13″ x 16″ x 4″, the perfect size for hauling your stuff to the gym. Or, if you wanted to, you could use it to carry books for school! The tote retails for $148. Find it at Saks.com. It is currently available through Pre-Order.

Maison Martin Margiela’s Airbrushed Wolf Med. Sac Bag

Maison Martin Margiela’s Airbrushed Wolf Med. Sac Bag
Maison Martin Margiela’s Airbrushed Wolf Med. Sac Bag
Oh my goodness was my first reaction as I ran upon Maison Martin Margiela’s Airbrushed Wolf Medium Sac Bag. My first negative reaction was to the handbag itself. My second, to its over exaggerating price tag of $1,195!

Have you guys ever gone to some kind of fair or carnival where the airbrushed tee shirts are the souvenir to get? Personally, I’ve never picked up one of those colorful tees, and I really don’t plan on it either. With that said, I would definitely never consider picking up this M.M.M handbag. I apologize to any of you fans of this bag (and to the fans of airbrushed t-shirts), but why a wolf on a pebbled leather handbag? I just don’t get it. First of all, it’s extremely tacky and cheap looking, and it certainly doesn’t look like your average premium designer accessory. I will state that whoever airbrushed this wolf design is extremely talented and artistic, and I do give that person props. Though I do believe that M.M.M shouldn’t have applied this design to its Sac Bag.

What do you ladies think about this bag? Do you like it, or dislike it? Personally, I couldn’t wear this bag. I would much rather sport an airbrushed t-shirt to an airbrushed wolf bag!

LeSportsac Lotus Yoga Tote
LeSportsac Lotus Yoga Tote
Alright ladies, bikini season is almost here! What does that mean? It means that a lot of you will be heading over to the gym to shed off some of those winter fat reserves. For me, I’ll probably be hitting the treadmill and all those other torture devices. You know, the usual cardio activities. But I’ll also probably try some yoga. I hear that it can really help your whole body look toned and fit. Well, its worth a shot anyway. Right?

So what do we have here? Is it a tripod case for your camera? One of those fold up chairs you take with you to tailgate parties? No. Actually, it is the Lotus Yoga Tote from LeSportsac. What is a Yoga Tote, you ask? Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet, you can get your rolled up yoga mat in there! Now all there is left to wonder is whether or not this thing would be useful or awkward. My vote would be useful, especially if you like to take your yoga to different locations. Gym near home… gym at work… park… you get the idea. What bothers me though is the funky print. Is it just me, or do the prints found on LeSportsac bags have the tendency to make you wonder what the heck those designers were thinking? Well, one thing is for sure… LeSportsac prints are either something you absolutely love or something you absolutely hate. I don’t think there is a happy medium here.

The LeSportsac Yoga Tote:
Zipped main closure
Ventilated main compartment
Four exterior pockets with zipped closures
Detachable adjustable shoulder strap
Measures 10″ x 28″ x 7″
Retails for a mere $80

Other colors/prints available besides the one shown (called Bibelot):

Eco Fashion: The Beau Soleil Reduce, Recycle & Renew Tote
One of the biggest issues facing the world today is global warming and the environment. It remains to be one of the most discussed topics at the presidential debates and has sparked a lot of public interest. Many public and private groups have been formed in order to battle this serious issue. As of recently, the environment is becoming a main issue in the fashion world as well. Many eco-friendly clothing lines have been formed and are becoming a big hit with fashion-goers.

Beau Soleil has introduced a new eco-friendly bag made of recycled raw cotton canvas and rope emblazoned with the words “Reduce, Recycle, Renew. It can be found at Saks 5th Avenue at a very fair and reasonable price of $45. While this bag does not consist of ornate metals and leathers, it is charming and cute. It’s simple and jeansworthy – a great every day bag to carry on a shopping trip or to school. It also promotes an important message. It may not scream FASHION, but it does scream ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, a very important and admirable statement to make.
