Bottega Veneta Large Veneta Crocodile Bag
by Deysa on April 30, 2009 12 comments
If you’ve got some big bucks to spend on a not so common handbag, have I found a nominee for you. Take a look at the Large Veneta Crocodile Bag by Bottega Veneta. When I hear Bottega Veneta with crocodile in the same sentence, I’m thinking the asking price sums up to a big stack of cash. Sure enough the asking price for this piece is a good $19,500!
This Bottega is definitely way out of my price range, as it would easily cover a good year and a half of my college tuition. For the fortunate ladies who can obtain such a piece, this timeless and elegant shoulder bag sure is stunning. This luxury handbag comes in caramel hued crocodile leather, which is different from your typical brown or black croc skins, yet the color is neutral enough to match with practically any color of clothing. Plus the slouchy hobo style is practical enough to carry through day and night; I don’t see how this style would be uncomfortable to wear. Weaved trim and brown suede lining can also be found on this hobo.

Measuring in at 20” x 12” x 2” you can pick up this luxe handbag via: *NET-A-PORTER*
Thrifty Thrill Alert: Prefer leather over exotic? Oh and of course, how does 20% off sound? Over at Bluefly they just added a dozen NEW Bottega Veneta handbags, which can still be found for full price at most other department stores. Just check out that new aqua tote!!

“Fashion Can Be Bought” by Jessica Kagan Cushman
by Marissa on April 27, 2009 15 comments
Have you ever wanted a tote that was a little fashionable? Jessica Kagan has brought out the cutest everyday tote, with a little stylish message on it for all to see.
Every time I see a tote at the store, it’s either really dull looking or just plain ugly. I’ve been looking for quite some time for a cute stylish tote, but I could never find one. Even when I go to the store today, all you see are these Eco totes especially ones to put your groceries in. There is nothing wrong with an Eco tote, but sometimes a girl needs a fashionable everyday accessory in her life.
All of Jessica Kagan Cushman’s totes have really cute sayings on them. This particular tote has the best saying of all, “Fashion Can Be Bought, Style One Must Possess.” If you are a fashionista, a saying on any bag doesn’t get any better than that.
The Jessica Kagan Cushman “Fashion Can Be Bought” tote comes in only blue with white lettering. The measurements of the tote are, 8″H x 15″L x 6.5″D, which makes it kind of small. If you are a student or employee that doesn’t have to carry much on a day-to-day basis, then this tote might be perfect for you!

You can purchase the Jessica Kagan Cushman “Fashion Can Be Bought” Tote at Shop Bop for $35. The tote may be on the small size, but to get a stylish bag at only $35 is a steal! It’s not often you see a cute fashion tote, so grab yours before they are gone!

Goldyn Vintage Snakeskin Bag
by Deysa on April 20, 2009 17 comments
There’s something about vintage handbags that make me admire them in awe. Speaking of vintage, I ran into this handbag by Goldyn. I can’t decide if it’s the condition its in or if it’s the fact that the piece is older than I am, whichever the case, I like it. Goldyn (dot com) claims this purse is circa 1950’s, pretty neat, huh? Authentic black snakeskin lines the exterior of this bag, while gold toned hardware compliments this dark piece, beautifully. Snakeskin handbag owners, here’s proof that taking good care of your pieces will allow aging of your handbag that will last for decades to come.
I’m liking the large, yet slim silhouette of this bag. For day, wear the removable strap on the shoulder, which appeals perfect for school or the office. During the night, the double squared handles allow this to be an extra large clutch or a brief like case. More features include interior compartments with pockets, and 14” x 10” dimensions. Ladies, what’s your input on this bag? How about on vintage finds in general?

Diesel Pragmatic Hard Leather Mini-Case
by Deysa on April 1, 2009 10 comments
When it comes to all things handbags, how stiff is too stiff? Sure, sturdy bags are handy when you fear your essentials being all over the place or when you really want your bag to stay in one single spot. The sturdiest piece in my collection is definitely my Multicolore Trouville by Louis Vuitton, and it definitely keeps its shape. I can’t imagine owning anything stiffer than my Trouville, as it would practically seem like a hard travel case or something. Speaking of hard cases, anybody looking for one? I recently ran into the Pragmatic Black Leather Case by Diesel. I had no idea that tough brand Diesel makes hard cases for their collection, is that newly learned or simply old news?

This piece is purposely designed with a vintage feeling to it. Aged gold toned hardware and its silhouette give this an antique finish. A square shaped body with double short handle tops seems to me like really uncomfortable to carry everyday. What should you carry in it? Who knows, eventually its owner will find use out of this. If you’re not a fan of the exterior, maybe it’s light pink interior lining will change your feelings towards this case. Measuring 13” x 9” x 5” you can find this leather case for $450 over at: ssense

Dior Homme Spring 2009 Man Bags (murses)
by Deysa on March 21, 2009 10 comments
Dior Homme Spring 2009 accessories have arrived and so far, I’m liking everything. They’re simple, sleek, and available for purchase via eLuxury (dot com).
First up is the bag for the man who isn’t afraid to carry the unusual; meet the Zip Top Shopper. I like how structured this shopper is and it’s obviously perfect for the man with many essentials. It’s a good size to carry books, a personal computer and more.
The Vertical Messenger Bag is a more common style and has a more casual look to it. It’s a bit low key, and the choice for the man who chooses to carry the standard style.
Don’t like the vertical look, how about the horizontal Asymmetrical Zip Messenger Bag. It’s unique, modern, and stylish. I’m digging the slanted pocket with zipper, the flat shoulder strap with push lock closure and all the other cool details found on this irregular bag.
The Patent Messenger Bag is perfect for the man who isn’t afraid of some shine. Crossover bands keeps this bag shut while it adds character to it as well.
Notice the circular detail found on these bags? They’re purposely made slits for your iPod cord to go through. Such a simple concept yet its neat and functional.

New Designer Man Bags / Mags / Murses @ Saks
by Deysa on February 24, 2009 14 comments
Man Bag, Mag, or simply Travel & Luggage. Whichever you choose to call it, men all around the world are preferring to carry their essentials in a roomier compartment other than their pant pockets. In my area, the messenger styled bag wins the popularity contest, and over at Saks (dot com), they carry even more styles to choose from.
Up first is the messenger styled bag, the Prada way. Prada presents their version as causal and definitely masculine. I really like the combination of Prada nylon with rich leather and the variety of colors are appealing, yet allow this piece to match with almost anything.
For the trendy man, Gucci presents their latest duffle in one of the hottest colors right now, Cobalt. It’s got double handles, vertical zippers, and silver tone hardware, and seriously, how striking is that hue!
Got a crave for logos? Gucci’s classic GG logoed duffle gets a makeover with vintage inspired orange/khaki/white leather trims. Luggage tag, removable strap, lock and keys are included with this piece.
Last but not least, the perfect accessory for Mr. Sophisticated. Yves Saint Laurent presents the Muse Travel Bag and wow is it gorgeous! It’s rich, large, and made of Buffalo leather. Yeah, I won’t be surprised if some of you gals pick this up for yourself… you know… to travel and stuff.

Louis Vuitton Damier Canvas Brooklyn
If my lovely Hampstead bag had a boyfriend, this is what he would look like!
Here at Bag Bliss + tBF, we never exclude the guys. How could we? Gentlemen have their valuables too, and they should purchase nice pieces to carry their goods in. With the Damier ebene Neverfull finally hitting the shelves in the good ‘ole USA, the Damier pattern is all of a sudden the most popular Vuitton line in my area. I suggest the boys give into the craze with something as stunning as this. The Damier Canvas Brooklyn MM is listed on eLuxury’s “Gifts for Men” page, and I can’t see how any fashionista can turn this down. It’s perfect for the traveler, student or on-the-go man in your life. The masculine messenger style with 13.4″x 10.6″x 3” dimensions can accompany him to the gym, office, or travel. Did you notice the slight change of hardware on this piece? It’s actually golden brass hardware with a polished brown finish; even the Inventeur plaque (found right at the center of this piece) is present and updated as well. Signature cross body strap, a rear zipper pocket, and a magnetic closure are just a few more details you can find on the Brooklyn.

Want Malpensa 24 HR Travel Bag
Do you want a nice travel bag? Say for quick, overnight trips? I came across this Malpensa 24HR Travel Bag by Want and all I can say is “wow”. So who is Want? The company’s full name is Want les Essentiels de la Vie. They are all about timeless, classic, and 100% functional designs. Their specialty? Luggage. However, they also make briefcases and a variety of small accessories. Personally, I think this bag is absolutely lovely. And you know what? You wouldn’t necessarily have to use it as a travel bag. It could easily double as an awesome work bag. Just think of all the stuff you could fit in there – folders, binders, laptop, you name it. As for the color, I actually love the green a lot. The color is refreshing and unexpected, especially in the workplace. However, I think this bag would be even more stunning in black. After all, black is always right when it comes to work. How does everyone else feel?

The Want Malpensa 24HR Travel Bag is available in Dark Green. It measures 14″ x 11″ x 5.5″ and has a 9″ handle drop. Also keep your items secure with its adorable little zipper lock. Unfortunately, this bag retails for $1,395.
