Designer Tech & Phone Cases

Is it just me? Or were those mini cross-body bags the hot thing for Fall… 2009? Like most of you ladies out there, my local mall was jam-packed with displays of cross-body bags. But can we truly say that this particular style was “so Fall 2009″? After all, they are great for when you need your hands free. There’s nothing worse than trying to hang onto your bulky satchel when your hands are full of shopping bags from your latest rendezvous at the mall. But would they be appropriate for everyday use? Probably not. Especially if you typically carry a whole arsenal of makeup and other essentials around with you on a day to day basis. However, this isn’t to say that a cross-body bag wouldn’t come in handy from time to time. And if you use it for something in which they were originally intended (i.e., a camera bag), then it is probably worth your time to snap one up.

Even though they were always on the pricey side, I’ve always loved the Juicy Couture lap top sleeves. Anytime I find designer accessories that has to do with technology in some way, shape or form I usually fall in love. Some designer “technology” accessories I have eyed have included the: Ed Hardy and Juicy Couture flash drives; Marc Jacobs lap top sleeves; Coach mouse pad; and Louis Vuitton iPod cases.

I apologize to any See by Chloe fans out there, but I can’t justify buying any of their overprized accessories, overall, they’re not so impressive. I have yet to run into something I must have, but today, something did catch my attention.
Just check out the killer message found on this pouch. Want to take a wild guess at what the name of this piece is? Yes, you pretty much guessed it; meet the Dance or Die Pouch by SBC. So someone at SBC headquarters threw a joke onto this pouch and I can’t help but wonder if I’m the only one that doesn’t get it? Illustrated on canvas is the message that seems to be coming from a phonograph record player, as if it were music to the owner’s ears. I personally don’t find this attractive, but I do like the variety of colors you can choose from.

You can’t go wrong with a simple canvas accessory, as this piece is. It looks supportive and roomy enough for small essentials. Although I do hate how the $95 price tag is nowhere near convincing; otherwise, these would make really cute gifts.

If a fashionista owns an iPhone, chances are she wants a designer case to go with it. Fashion designers are making their mark in the cell phone world by bringing out high fashion accessories for cell phones including a iPhone cases.
Louis Vuitton and Prada are a couple of the designers getting in on the iPhone craze. Louis Vuitton has came out with six different iPhone cases, one of which is no longer available. The different lines of Louis Vuitton iPhone cases include: Monogram Canvas; Damier Graphite Canvas; Taiga Leather; and as pictured above, Epi Leather. Louis Vuitton also came out with a limited edition Monogramouflauge iPhone case, which sold out very quickly and can no longer be purchased. The Louis Vuitton iPhone cases run from $240-$290, but when the next price increase comes around I’m sure they will go up!
Prada has also got on in on the iPhone mania and has come out with a rather stylish case for the over popular phone. Although, the Prada iPhone case may be fashionable, it sells out rather quickly. The Prada iPhone case is available in a grayish metallic color and it is absolutely stunning. The iPhone case by Prada runs for $140, which is not a bad price for a designer phone case.
Louis Vuitton iPhone cases can be purchased at eLUXURY and Prada iPhone cases can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue. Saks Fifth Avenue does have the Prada iPhone available from time to time, but it does sell out quickly so be sure to check often.

There is two words to describe the Anya Hindmarch Ivy Patent Poch: gorgeous and simple. The poch is the ideal item to carry when you don’t feel like carrying much at all, but most bagista’s would probably throw it in a purse and use it as a cosmetic pouch.
The Anya Hindmarch Ivy Patent Poch is very small. The measurements of the poch are 8½”W X 4½”H X ½”D, obviously giving you minimal space to carry much of anything. The most you can carry in the poch is some cash, makeup and maybe a cell phone.
The poch would be a perfect for a night out on the town, or whenever you are making a quick run to a place. Only downfall is in my opinion, is that I would be scared I would leave it somewhere and then it’s gone!
The Poch is available at Saks Fifth Avenue for $295, and I admit that is a bit much for something so tiny. I will admit though that the Anya Hindmarch Ivy Patent Poch is stunning and even the cute little bow featured on the front side gives it that adorable look.
If I had an extra $295 laying around, I’d grab the Anya Hindmarch Ivy Patent Poch in a heart beat!

Is pink the new black, again? Recently, I’ve run into quite a few accessories carrying the feminine hue, and they’re all so charming. It could be that designers purposely planned the pink phase along with the Valentines and Mothers Day holidays. I will always applaud those gals who can pull off a nice sized pink handbag, as I sure can’t. Since I can’t do the handbag, the wallet would be my next alternative. I’d love to add a hint of rose to my collection as I can just imagine that cheerful pop of color I’d display as I pull any of these lovelies out of my neutral colored handbag.
First up is the Louis Vuitton’s Vernis French Purse in Rose Pop. The Rose Pop name says it all. If you already own one of the new vernis colors, lucky you, as these are really in demand at the moment.
The Metallic Quilted Zip Wallet by Marc Jacobs Collection would be my pick. I adore this bright shade and against quilted metallic leather, it’s even more attractive. $545 can buy you this pretty Fuchsia wallet.
Save a few bucks and try the Large Graffiti Wallet by MM6 Maison Martin Margiela. It’s got the same bright pink trend, but appears to be toned down a bit compliments of the off-white graffiti print. As I take a second look, I’m not sure if I’m feeling the sprayed print, ladies what do you all think?
Dolce & Gabbana’s version appears to be a bit more simple and feminine with its light pink hue. It’s also more compact, patent, and only $275.
You can find any of these lovelies and more, over at eLUXURY

My ultimate favorite handbag is the Louis Vuitton Multicolor Speedy 30. I’m even lucky enough to not only own one but to live in Florida, a state where I can pretty much carry it 365 days a year if I wanted to. I try to carry my Multicolor Speedy 30 as much as I can, I even carried it today!
No matter what handbag I carry on any given day, I am always the type of person to put as much as I can in my handbag. For some reason, I can not walk out the door unless I have “certain” items with me.
Those “certain” items I can not leave my house without are my: Dolce & Gabbana eye glasses and sunglasses; Louis Vuitton change purse, cosmetic pouch, and wallet; Juicy Couture flash drive; keys; cell phone; hair clip; pretzels; and iPod.
I am a designer junkie, but the one thing out of all those items listed above that I can not go anywhere without is actually my Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses! I got them for such a great deal at Nordstrom, that I literally don’t let them leave my side!
My question to you is, “What’s in your handbag?” Do you pack your handbag with designer goods? Do you carry as little or as much as you can? Do you carry anything that is considered a “norm” or interesting? What are the things that must always be in any purse you carry?
Post pictures of your favorite handbag that you own, and show us all what is inside here!

Donna Karen Modern Scorpio Briefcase Bag
Although, briefcases are classy I have never spotted one that I considered: cute, fashionable, and stylish. That is of course until my eyes became fixated on a briefcase I found on the Saks Fifth Avenue website. The briefcase I found was the Donna Karen Modern Scorpio Briefcase bag and I must say it is fabulous with a capital F. It may look a tad bit gaudy at first but when you compare it to the everyday version of a briefcase it is quite fascinating in a unique way. The Donna Karen Modern Scorpio Briefcase can be held by the handle or worn on your shoulder being that the strap has a 10 inch shoulder drop. The briefcase has a top flap closure which has a ring to add some detail to the top flap and I must say that is the only part of the briefcase that is horrible. I think the ring makes the top flap look a little tacky, but of course that is my opinion. Other than the ring, the Donna Karen Modern Scorpio Briefcase Bag has amazing features such as an interior and exterior pocket, plenty of room, open pockets inside, and is made in Italy. If I was in the business world and needed a briefcase, I would snatch this one up in a heart beat!
The Donna Karen Modern Scorpio Briefcase Bag may be stunning but it comes with the not so stunning price of $2,195. Beautiful briefcase, and if you want to look stylish at your next meeting I suggest this is the briefcase to get!
