Michael Kors Beverly Gator Watch Clutch
Everyone says that the watch is one of the first things that you notice when you go into a meeting (along with shoes). When you reach over to shake the others hand, you can’t help but look down and spot that solid piece of expensive wrist candy. This may be mostly true for males than females. Sure I check out the watch, but I also have to take a glance at the whole package before me: shoes, attire, jewelry and of course the handbag.

But what about a wristwatch clutch? Coming at you fresh, from the spring line up from designer Micheal Kors –who have you noticed has been focusing a lot more on handbags– it’s a clutch with a new unique twist. How many other designer’s out there traded in the norm materials for something different? I appreciate that.

It combines the masculinity of the wristwatch band and femininity of the classic alligator-embossed leather clutch in a refreshing lime green shade.

The Lua Snake Clutch from Antoinette Lee Designs
Has this ever happened to you? You’re out at a nightclub having a great time, right? You’ve been dancing, drinking, chatting, etc. Then you suddenly realize you have set your clutch down somewhere and now have no clue where it might be. Part of it could be due to a drunken state of amnesia and part of it could be due to the fact that its very hard to keep tabs on something that isn’t attached to your body.

Well girls, I have the solution to your problem! Pictured above is the Lua Snake Clutch from Antoinette Lee Designs. It’s sleek, it’s shimmery, and it’s attached to your wrist! That’s right, this clutch comes complete with a bracelet that attaches you to your clutch. Now you can place your clutch on the bar and not have to worry about it being accidentally left behind.

I think that the idea, in itself, was a good one. I mean, who hasn’t walked off without their clutch at least once? Problem is, it kind of looks like you have some sort of pet reptile chained to your wrist. This clutch (with its chain and bracelet) should probably only be worn out of necessity (e.g. for someone who is really forgetful) rather than as a fashion statement. Personally, I think I would be sporting this little guy without its leash. What do you think?

Log onto eLuxury (dot com) now, and check out the spring collection ad by Louis Vuitton. Grenade and Cassis are the names of two new colors Louis Vuitton added to their Epi collection! One of the many accessories found in these lovely new shades include the Epi Leather Montaigne Clutch. This clutch has so many eye catching features starting with its nice exterior design. A combination of textured and smooth leather dress up the Montaigne clutch, while silver hardware compliments perfectly with any of the different shades of Epi leather. You can purchase the Montaigne in fun shades of grenade and cassis or in classic colors of black and ivory. I like how Louis Vuitton made this clutch so versatile. Marc Jacobs Mix Quilted Classic Coin Pouch
Generally, I’m a super-size big handbag lover. Even though somedays I’m only carrying a wallet, cosmetic case, and my phone I always go for the bigger bag. Bigger is better. Although back in January, when I spotted Lindsay Lohan with the Yves Saint Laurent Belle de Jour Wristlet Clutch I was starstuck. Why did I fall so hard for this bag even though it’s not in the norm of my everyday purse choice? It’s simple, very minimal without all that extra atmospheric space. A perfect candidate for a shopping companion, or even as a mini organizer in your giant purse.

For this spring season Marc Jacobs created the Mix Quilted Classic Coin Pouch. Comes dressed in smooth and shiny calf leather with a pintucked pleat detail on the front and back and comes topped off with a teeny tiny trompe l’œil push-lock stud on the side. Speaking of teeny tiny, this purse measures in at 5″ x 3″ x 2.5″ — probably not big enough for a wallet, but may be just right for some cash, cards, and even lip-gloss. Also, what Marc Jacobs bag would be complete with out the super chunky chain strap? This purse features a chain wristlet strap that measures 7.25″ long. The Mix Bag is available in Chalk white or my favorite, delicious berry colored Lavender.

Hayden-Harnett: The Limited Edition Lido Zipper Wallet
What do you get when you combine red leather with a cute print and put it in a small package? Why it’s this adorable clutch wallet from Hayden-Harnett of course! What I love most about this wallet is the added accent of fabric on the front flap. It gives it such a unique look and the color is perfect for spring! The particular print on this Lido Wallet was designed by Madame Paule Marrot. For those of you out there that are unfamiliar with the work of Paule Marrot, I was able to find a little background info on Hayden-Harnett’s website:

Marc Jacobs Collection - Evening Rana Pouch Purse
The last couple of days, the sibling and I have been surfing the net looking for prom ideas (she’s going to prom this year). The parent’s promised to get her nice accessories for her big night, and of course, an evening bag is a must! So far, we’ve spotted a couple of nice evening clutches… and this one other bag I can’t seem to acquire a positive opinion about.

Marc Jacobs is one of my all time favorite designers, and like most fashion artists, designers tend to doze off into some freaky world and bring back some awfully unexpected ideas, once in a while. With this said, meet the Evening Rana Pouch by Marc Jacobs Collection. I adore the Marc Jacobs grained leather, the metallic satin lining and the gold nameplate inside, but that’s it! I must be missing the point but, why the giant frog?! I just don’t get it. Besides the oversized “rana”, the framework of this evening pouch doesn’t appeal to my taste, for once I disagree with pleats, and that rolled leather loop is just so boring. I feel $795 is a bit too pricey for this item, but if you’re in search of a unique evening bag, this is defiantly one. Eccentric Inspirations Meet Vintage: Discover Designer Label KOTUR
Fiona Kotur Marin first made her appearance in the fashion industry back in 2004 with the launch of her limited edition brocade clutches. The initial inspiration for her designs was from the find of an exclusive collection of vintage brocades that were originally woven for European Couture houses back in the era of the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. And ever since, she has cultivated her collection of minaudieres, brocades and handbags from a hint of classic element and culturally artistic design. Not only does she use unique inspirations for the designs of her pieces, but she also derives their names from her friends and women who carry the same charismatic attributes and worldly passions that are within her.

Featured in her purses are details inspired by art and ethnicity that she has experienced and seen around the globe. These include a variety of exotic skins and materials such as Python, Ayers Snakeskin, Shagreen, Tortoise penshell, and feathers. Shown above is the famous Wallace Frame bag in both beautifully textured Italian leather and Python, examples of how her exotic inspirations meet classic retro. This bag is my favorite creation by Kotur as I love it’s timelessness and old fashioned appeal. This handbag starts at about $898. Did you notice that each one is adorned with a lovely jewel closure? This definitely adds a little elegance without being overly garnishing. Also, the vintage inspired shape of each clutch makes their unique exteriors more accepting, in my opinion. To start, I love the slight zig zag pattern on the Riddick and the light metallic colored exotic skins are perfect for the upcoming seasons. Secondly the Fane with a combination of two totally different materials is so unconventional! Who ever would have thought snakeskin and not just ordinary but metallic raffia would make a great team?! I think they are paired wonderfully together. Lastly, I wasn’t able to adjust to the Fino dressed in feathers. I personally don’t like feathers on ANY handbag, so that one is a definite ‘nay’ for me. However, the shape and small chain handle are adorable. Overall, I admire many pieces from her collection. Kotur is one new and rising designer that is definitely worth looking into!

Luella Heart Coin Purse
What, does every designer have a mini heart shaped coin purse? As you saw in the previous posts today: Louis Vuitton has their super glossy Vernis version, Gucci has their less flashy monogram double G version, Lulu Guinness has their red snakeskin heart handbag collection with partial proceeds going to the RED charity, and check this out, even Luella has a heart coin purse edition. Available in an array of shiny choices - fuschia, green, black, gold, silver and more. Price range $154 to $200. Pictured above are my absolute favorite colors. The metallic turquoise in the snakeskin print and the bold glossy pink. I love them. They’re simple and don’t have the designers logo plastered all over the petite body. (I’m going through a logo-less phase). Out of all the other love shaped coin purses out there, by far Luella has won my heart.

Lulu Guinness Heart-Shaped Handbags
What better way to show some love this Valentine season, then by donating a portion to charity. Lulu Guinness has teamed up with RED charity organization, as a part of the LOVERED campaign. Louis Vuitton Vernis Heart Purse from Saint Valentine Bag Collection
Last year Louis Vuitton presented this heart shaped purse just in time for the big V-day. The Saint Valentine heart shaped purse is created in Louis Vuitton’s highgloss monogram embossed Vernis canvas and features three signature charms - a key, a padlock, and an id plate. Very cute little accents.
