As I get older my fashion tastes are changing. I’m now going from the edgy, rocker chick look to a more classy, sophisticated look. I’m now also loving designers who have a more classic look to their designs. One of those designers is, Vivienne Westwood. Westwood has always had impeccable taste when it comes to fashion and her designs are nothing but fabulous.
Ever since I was little I’ve always had an obsession with hearts. Even when Louis Vuitton introduced the multicolor heart change purse, I wanted it so bad but unfortunately I was not able to get my hands on one. Ever since then, designers have also been taking the heart change purse design, making it their own and selling it at a more reasonable price. Vivienne Westwood has designed the Metal III “Heart Bag” and I love it!
A trip to New York isn’t complete without a visit to Soho. I love stopping in the little designer boutiques where you can find items that aren’t readily available anywhere else. As I love the 3.1 Phillip Lim Camera Bag Cross-Body, I had to stop in the boutique. There, I found a beautiful clean space filled with sophisticated edgy pieces. One of these was the Berry Wristlet.
The store version was available in two colors: pink and mint green. Quite a contrast against the multitude of spiked studs covering the bag. It’s a perfectly edgy and girl piece for the girl who doesn’t want to carry rocker black. Oddly, if it wasn’t for the all-over studs having a distinctive cone shape, I would have sworn that this wristlet was one of Alexander Wang’s creations. After all, he really likes to crowd the surface of a bag with lots and lots of chunky studs! But you know what, I think Lim does the whole stud thing pretty well. They are the same kind of studs found on my beloved Edie Bow Bag, but they are arranged in a tight grid pattern.
I have never been very enthusiastic when it comes to Lockheart handbags. I’m not sure why exactly, they just haven’t been on my radar. But I know there are a lot of Lockheart fans out there and sometimes I feel like I am missing something. So when I stumbled across the Lockheart Pinwheel Continental Wallet, I decided to give this lesser-known designer a second look. And in case you haven’t guessed, I liked what I saw!
