Designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier on behalf of Hermes, the chic 42cm JPG Shoulder Birkin is styled on the infamous Birkin design but to be worn over the shoulder with fashionable oversized hardware. The Hermes Birkin bag was originally created in the Fabuourg workshop in Paris in 1984 for the actress Jane Birkin. The Birkin which is a smaller version of the Haut a Courroies is an extremely versatile bag. With just 150 skilled Hermes craftsmen trained to make the Birkin and Kelly bags and where it can take such a skilled craftsman many hours to make such an equisite bag from cutting to finishing, demand for both the Hermes Birkin and Hermes Kelly bags far exceeds production, hence the notorious Hermes wait lists, where an existing customer can expect to wait from 3-7 years are now closed Worldwide. Each bag will have a code, which identifies the craftsman who made it, the year and the atelier it was made in.
About the Bag: Immaculate pre-owned condition. Hermes JPG Shoulder B (Jean-Paul Gaultier Shoulder Birkin) – This particular Hermes Birkin model is designed to be either hand held or carried over the shoulder. The leather is timeless and classic Black Taurillon Clemence (baby bull) leather exterior (scratch proof and water resistant) with matching stitching and matching clochette. The interior is made of matching black goatskin with no interior pockets. The hardware is oversized trendy Palladium hardware including; strap lock plates engraved Hermes – Paris – made in France (slight surface scratches on hardware which can be polished out), lock plate (still covered by protective plastic), padlock and keys and 4 x protective feet. The unique craftsman’s id is I (2005). Measurements are 42cm size – 16.5″ width x 7.5″ height x 8.5″ depth with 6″ drop handles. This Hermes Bikin Shoulder Bag comes with the Hermes orange storage box, Hermes orange sleeper, Hermes gift carrier bag and ribbon.

Spotted: Looks like not a fake designer handbag this time around for Miss Anna Kournikova. Ick, remember that fake Louis Vuitton Multicolore Speedy she was sporting for the longest time. I only posted one pick that I came across of her leaving the courts with the replica multicolore bag but I remember seeing snapshots of her with it at the grocery store, lunch and even while catching a tan at the beach. Hopefully she tossed it.

Anna Kournikova has a Fake Louis Vuitton Speedy Multicolore
Anna Kournikova carries fake Louis Vuitton handbags! Can this be true? Someone sent me this picture of Anna Kournikova a few days ago asking me to do an authenticity check. I am not an expert, however I try to give a short answer as to whether or not in my opinion it is fake or authentic, then follow that with my reasoning and a link to how to determine authenticity for a Louis Vuitton. This bag that Anna Kournikova is carrying is an obvious fake Louis Vuitton.
Reasons for why this bag is an awful fake:
- A real multicolor Louis Vuitton bag has 33 colors. This bag has 5.
- There are red LV’s on her bag. Red LV’s are not on the real white speedy.
- The inside lining is the wrong color. The lining of a real speedy is a rasberry color. This bag has a beige lining.
- The handles are too long and thin. A real LV speedy’s handles are shorter and thicker than that.
- The flower on the above right of the LV is the same color as the LV, this never happens on a real bag.
*Important note: Don’t always look at celebrities and their handbags to try to compare and determine authenticity. Yes I know you would think that they have a lot of money and they can afford the real thing. However this is an example of how celebrities don’t always carry authentic handbags. Also something else I should point out is that eLUXURY (only authorized seller of Louis Vuitton) will occasionally put up a picture of a fake bag to trick counterfeiters who try to duplicate those seen online. You may have noticed that the photo on eLUXURY of this Louis Vuitton Speedy has red LV’s, but the real on does not.
