I don’t know who you are Vida Guerra (I tried googling your name but only sites dedicated to your butt came up), but I like your Dior Flight Logo Medium Frame Bag. I am not crazy about your outfit but your Dior bag and matching sandals are lovely.

Celebrity Style: Judith Leiber Cleopatra and Medusa Handbags

Date Added: September 10, 2006

Judith Leiber | Cleopatra and Medusa Collection | Mischa Barton
This is an update on the Judith Leiber post that I blogged about when the news was first introduced – The bags are set to debut this month at all Judith Leiber stores (located in Las Vegas, Atlanta, New York and Costa Mesa, California) Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus and retail in the high range of $2,000 to $10,000.

Stylist to the rich and famous celebrities Rachel Zoe is teamed up with Judith Leiber to create high-end chic bags with reptile detailing. Rachel Zoe (a vegetarian) is obsessed with animal skins and incorporates much of this passion into her new line. The exotic animal skins used to create these bags, to name a few, are crocodile, lizard, and python. To this collection there are two basic styles that Rachel Zoe created with Frank Zambrelli the creative director for Judith Leiber. The Medusa style is a pliable satchel with ruched outside pockets at the sides, woven leather or suede shoulder straps and a flap closure and the Cleopatra is an oversize, rectangular minaudiere. The bags come in about 12 color variations, including a siren red and a matte gold, and are topped off with a heavy gold fob depicting two snakes coiled around a ring. The inspiration for these pieces came from by an old French doorknocker. Huh, I wonder if that’s what Christian Louboutin had in mind.

I haven’t seen this collection yet but I’m very curious to see how these bags turn out. So far from what I have been reading about this collection I’m not that impressed, I would rather save my money and buy a more classic bag, such as a Hermes.

Celine Clandestine bag | Jessica Stam and Heather Marks

Bag Bliss the bag blog

Celine Clandestine bag
Did you know that the Celine emblem was created in 1971 by Mme. Vipiana, and was inspired by the chain design around the Arc de Triomphe a classic Parisian symbol. I just read that off the Celine site – you learn something everyday.

The bag of the day that instantly caught my eye is this Celine Clandestine bag in Pale Pink. This bag isn’t new to hit the store shelves, it debut not to long ago, but for some unknown reason I thought I already blogged about this Celine bag, but while browsing through my achieve it became apparent that I haven’t. So overdue, yes I know. Measuring in at 13.25″ x 10.5″ x 5″ this roomy chic bag will fit all the essentials for the day. The highlights of this bag are the easy accessible large exterior front pocket with logo blazon magnetic snap, small vertical zip pocket, feet to prevent scuffing, and topped off with the kiss-lock closure on this classic framed bag.

Michael Kors Astro Handbag

Date Added: April 23, 2006

Michael Kors | Astro Handbag
I have a new dream bag. Yesterday while hanging out on the Fashion Spot Forum I spotted this gorgeous bag, the Michael Kors Astro Overnighter in the color Luggage Leather. For going big, this bag is available in the large and in the overnighter size. I absolutely love the larger overnighter size the most however, it is pretty impossible to get – it’s sold out everywhere. I think my only chance of getting my hands on this bag is to do a lot of searching on eBay. I even walked over to Macys and checked out the large Michael Kors Astro bag to see what the main difference is between the two sizes, and basically the reason why I didn’t fall for the large was because it didn’t rest on my shoulder comfortably. The large bag is more of one that you would carry on you arm while the overnighter rests comfortably on your shoulder.

I have so many Michael Kors bags, many of which I do not wear anymore but this one just strikes me as a bag that I will truly adore and add to my favorites.

p.s. If you find this bag anywhere feel free to email me!

B. Fendi and Spy Bag

B. Fendi | Spy Bag
For those of you who didn’t get to checkout the Spring 2006 fashion show then take a glance at these new Fendi bags. I know most of you may have seen pictures of these bags floating around on various blogs / forums, but I though it would be fun just to go back and review these lovely Fendi spring bags.

Most of the pictures are of the B. Fendi and Spy Bag. The new B. Fendi bags mirrored the image from the gigantic buckles that you saw dominating the runway. Wonder what’s with the ‘B’?, “b for buckle, b for belt, b for bag – B. Fendi!” – Amanda Harlech (the muse for Karl Lagerfeld)
