Daisy Fuentes inspired-by the Chanel Cabas Bag
Oh Daisy! When I visited Kohls today I was left in shock by your new remake of the popular, once referred to as the “Trash Bag” by Chanel. (The Trash Bag name was given by many in reference to the oversized unstructured high-gloss black patent vinyl version which debut back in Fall 2006).
Daisy isn’t the first (is it okay to refer to her as a designer?) to remake the design – Baby Phat, bebe, and forever21 are a few design brands that added the style to their collections. What’s the similarities? Not only is the oversize unstructured shape and cut of the bag identical, but check out the straps. Daisy replicated Chanel’s famous signature short chain hand-held straps.

The Daisy Fuentes look-for-less is available at Kohls where it’s on sale for $34.
What do some of you, dear BB readers think of Daisy Fuentes’ version?
Who is Daisy Fuentes? Once host of MTV Latin America, stared on ABC soap opera Loving, hosted her own talk show, then moved on to be the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos. She also has been spokeswoman for Revlon, American Express, Pantene, M&M’s, and Miller Lite. After all that was over, what’s next to add to the resume? Fashion designer..
Her recession-friendly priced clothing and accessory line are sold exclusively at Kohl’s Department Stores.

All her bags are inspired-by. Really sad.
I was never a fan of the trash sack… and I am surprised that she would replicate it.
I would not spend $30 on that. It belongs in the trash, lol.
I love the leather cabas, but the vinyl was looked like a rubbish sack.
That bag looks so cheap!
This is def. Chanel inspired. I give this DF bag a thumbs down!
What were you thinking Daisy Fuentes?!
Definitely inspired-by!
I think this is a total look-for-less. I probably would never buy this, but I think it’s perfect for those who can’t afford designer handbags. I honestly think it’s better than buying a replica.
^^^^^
I agree about having inspired-by bags is a good idea / a subsitution for those thinking about buying a fake.
However, Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it discovered that she used child labor!!! Isn’t that as bad as counterfeit handbags.
This is such a joke, lol. I can’t believe DF would copy Chanel.
.. and it’s 50% off.And still nobody’s buying it.
BOOOOO!
No Jennifer. Please do not refer to her as a designer!! haha.
She is NOT a designer. This is just tacky.
Great eye jenn :)
stewart do you have an article?
I just threw up in my mouth.
She so copied chanel it’s not even funny. She should be ashamed. I wonder if she even “designed” them. haha
This bag belongs in the trash, YUCK!
I’ve heard of her, but I really have no idea who she is.
You guys are being so harsh. I think this tote is really adorable, something I would buy. I’m not really that into chanel, but I think this bag is cute.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it discovered that she used child labor!!! Isn’t that as bad as counterfeit handbags.”
She wasn’t “discovered” to using child labor. The Guatamalan company that Kohl’s used to make the clothes were running a sweatshop (not child labor). Kohl’s and Daisy did not know anything about it. When they found out, Kohl’s pulled all the clothes that came from that particular company and they insisted the company did right to its employees. Kohl’s wasn’t the only one that used this company there were others. The guatamalan shop promised that it would make changes.
