Normally, fall is a season filled with warm and fuzzy thoughts about colorful leaves and pumpkin-picking. But so far, this fall season has been nothing but rainy and gloomy. In fact, it has been raining where I live for the last 3 days… practically nonstop. Yep, it has definitely been a downer. So what can a girl do to cure her case of the fall blues? How about a REALLY brightly colored handbag to add some spring to your step? So whip out those sunglasses ladies and prepare to be dazzled. Introducing the Dior Leather Mosaic Tote. Now I’m not the kind of girl that typically goes for bags with beads on them, but that isn’t what made this bag catch my eye. Nope, it was that insanely bright shade of pink that did. This bag is so pink that it practically hurts your eyes just looking at it — hence the sunglasses. And even though this bag is not something I could ever see myself wearing, I do think it has the potential to add an extra pop of color to a brave woman’s look. Simply make sure the bag has the center stage by pairing it with a more subdued outfit. As for the beads, I suppose they sort of work for this bag in their own, quirky way. But I think a handbag in an eye-popping shade such as this one is best left unadorned. In other words, let the color speak for itself.

Celebrities are known as the go to guides for fashion trends. They can be quite powerful when it comes to wearing something fashionable. One picture is taken of them wearing a certain handbag, and next thing you know the picture is everywhere. Once women around the globe see the snapshot of the newest “it” bag worn by celebrities, for some odd reason they feel the need to have the handbag too. Suddenly, the handbags are sold out of stores world wide, and are then seen on eBay with quite a bit of a price hike. Celebrities have the money to buy tons of handbags everyday if they want to, but when they wear a bag that is sold out everywhere you know the handbag is hot commodity. People can have their personal opinions or what handbags are hot and not. To me if numerous celebrities are seen with certain handbags, those handbags will be listed as “it” handbags. Once a handbag has the privilege of being an “it” handbag it can now have the title of being a top handbag worn by celebrities.

One handbag that is hated by a lot of bagista’s but seen on celebrities is the See by Chloé ‘Daytripper’ Satchel. This handbag has been seen on numerous celebrities including Jessica Alba and Miley Cyrus. Miley Cyrus has been seen everywhere she goes with her blue See by Chloé ‘Daytripper’ Satchel. The blue See by Chloé ‘Daytripper’ Satchel is suddenly sold out of stores. Concidence? I think not. I personally love this handbag, and have written a blog on it before. It didn’t get high reviews but believe it or not, in the celebrity world this handbag is a hot item.

Another handbag that has been seen on the celebrity scene is the YSL Pebbled Leather Easy Y Satchel. This handbag has been seen on Lindsay Lohan a lot lately, and I think no one can deny the beauty of this handbag. It’s obviously to see why a celebrity would want to carry around this gorgeous handbag. The YSL Pebbled Leather Easy Y Satchel is currently not sold out in stores, but I’m sure if more celebrities pick it up it will be soon.

The third handbag seen on celebrities lately is the Louis Vuitton Shimmer Comete handbag. Britney Spears has been seen carrying this handbag everywhere recently and I can’t blame her. She has made a lot of bad decisions in the past, but she scored major points when she decided to purchase the Louis Vuitton Shimmer Comete bag. This handbag is beautiful but comes with a big price tag as well as a waiting list. Britney Spears’ has been seen all over the internet with this handbag in her hand, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it sells out even quicker now.

It’s no surprise that the Christian Dior Karenina handbag is the fourth handbag that celebrities have been seen carrying lately. I personally do not like this handbag, but it’s obvious that Christian Aguilera, Denise Richards, and Sienna Miller do. This handbag is not my style, but I’m sure this handbag will be flying off the shelves due to it being a celebrity favorite.

The last handbag seen on celebrities lately, is the Salvatore Ferragamo Apollonia. I’m sure most bagista’s will think this handbag is hideous but I think it’s unique and beautiful. The colors, and patterns on the handbag are gorgeous! It’s not wonder why Reese Witherspoon has been seen carrying this handbag around. Love it, or Hate it, this handbag is a celebrity favorite.

Dior Charming Cannage Large Shopper
Check out this Christian Dior newbie’s over at eLuxury. As I saw this Dior, I couldn’t help to think that from the looks of pre-fall 08’ bags, it seems like the color plum is going to be a pretty popular hue for this coming fall. Many designers, including Dior, have released handbags and accessories in the gorgeous shades of purple.

The Dior Charming Large Shopper is the latest edition to the Cannage line. Its signature pattern can be found embroidered throughout the bags body. Although its pattern is nothing beyond spectacular, I definitely admire it. The Cannage line carries such a chic and sophisticated pattern, and for that reason, there is no question of why the House of Dior has released Cannage accessories in different patterns and colors in the past.

In reference to this handbag, I adore the rich shade of plum, but I don’t think I feel the same way towards this totes overall silhouette. There is just something about its appearance that doesn’t really appeal to my taste. I think it’s the fact that this Dior is all satin and nylon that bothers me a bit because I know for a fact that I would prefer an embroidered-pattern leather bag, a lot more.

What type of cell phone do you Bagista’s carry? In the past couple of years, high-end designers have followed the fad of releasing cellular phones made exclusively to trademark their brand. Some infamous couture designers who have followed this trend include, Dolce & Gabanna, Prada, Gucci, Chanel, and now, French designer Christian Dior who has recently released its own piece of couture technology.

This sleek phones most obvious trait is Christian Dior’s Cannage design featured throughout the entire cellphones’ exterior. More features found on the Dior phone includes a Mini Camera, touch screen display and an extender for your phone that is meant to clip onto a woman’s handbag, or better yet, a woman’s Christian Dior handbag. A set retail price hasn’t been released for the Dior phone, but a limited edition diamond encrusted “My Dior� phone’s will be available for retail price tag of $5,000!!!

So what do you Bagista’s think about Dior’s cellular phone? Do you find this phone to be amazing, rare and a great investment (that’s if you have the 5K to drop on a cellphone) or do you find this product to be incredibly useless, since, it’s really just a cellphone?

Christian Dior Jazzclub Zebra Flapped Bag
Christian Dior’s new Jazzclub collection is as hot as its latest ad. I swear when I saw the Runway Dior Jazzclub Zebra Flapped Bag (pictured above), I was totally psyched out in awe! I’m usually not an animal print fanatic, but on this bag, Dior definitely accomplished an excellent combination of trendy zebra print on a great classic flap bag. In the past and up until present time, I’ve seen a couple of designers apply animal prints on their accessories, in attempt to make a great and eye-catching handbag. Some succeeded but most didn’t, problem being that their designs were either a bit to mature, or way too graphic, (I’m referring graphic to those, I-just-skinned-a-carcass-and-I’m-wearing-it, bags).

Although many can agree that “zebra� is just another trendy print, I feel that this bag can remain modern for quite some period of time. First of all, the basic hues of black and white allow versatility among different colors of clothing. The large amount of silver plated hardware found throughout the handbag, gives off such a classic and sophisticated look. I must say that this Dior Runway flap, by far, carries the best-looking zebra print on a handbag. Ohhhh…take me to the jungle! One of Spring’s hottest trends is the safari look. From khaki clothing to woven wedges, wooden bangles, and animal print bags, the safari look is all over the place. Prints like zebra, cheetah, giraffe, and leopard and textures like crocodile and snakeskin leathers adorn this season’s hottest bags.

The first bag featured is the Michael Kors Large North/South Tote. This bag is made of giraffe printed canvas with grain leather trim and brush metal hardware. It retails at a fair $298 and is large enough to fit all the necessities and even good enough to take on a jungle expedition. The second bag featured is the Fendi Extra Large Fringed Zebra Baguette Tote and retails at a more hefty $5,420. The bag consists of zebra printed pony hair and leather fringe.
