Purse Deal: Christian Dior Rebelle Handbags Clearance
It’s official the Christian Dior Rebelle Handbags have crossed the line and enter the neighborhood of unwanted handbags where they remain un-purchased in the clearance section of almost all designer department stores (except Bergdorf). Sad but true news. I don’t know about you guys and girls but it’s absolutely frustrating when this occurs. I don’t want to see any of my bags in the markdown section months after purchase, but I sort of predicted this was going to happen with the Rebelle handbags. It’s a nice bag, okay style, lots of pockets and hardware on the vintage-ey look body but there’s just something about the over all styling where I just knew that this bag wasn’t going to be a smash like it’s sisters – the Gaucho or Jeanne bags.

The Dior Rebelle handbags were produced in a variety of styles from small messenger style hobos to large north-south style shopper totes (with the handheld satchel in between). The features on this collection which are most memorable include lots of antique silver metal hardware, front flap with large signature (to the collection) leash-style clasp closure, and ultra-convenient cargo-style pockets on the sides of the aged calfskin body.

Limited Edition Handbag Alert: John Galliano hit the 10 year spot as Chief Creative Director for Fashion House Christian Dior and in celebration the house is set to release a bunch new stunning purses.

It all started with the CD Saddle. Back in the beginning (around 1999), the first bag that Galliano created for Christian Dior was the saddle shaped, signature oversized metal D charm dangling Saddle Shoulder bag. That was only 8 years ago.

In celebration of Galliano hitting the Big 1 – 0, he traveled all over the world on a global journey gathering inspirational idea’s for this new collection. Christian Dior Flight Shearling East West Handbag
Ah yes, the Christian Dior Flight Shearling east / west styled handbag has finally made its way over to the Sale Shop of eluxury. This Dior Flight Shearling bag made its official debut last year during the winter months of ’05, but eluxury has still yet to sell of the last bunch, therefore we have our purse deal of the day – The Dior Flight Shearling East West Handbag, as seen on Mischa Barton (below) is marked down to $1,074 (reg. $1,790).

From the Dior Flight collection, this aviation-like rugged bag features extremely soft shearling trim, signature Dior polished silver metal hardware, a large (very comfortable) leather shoulder strap, an easy to access front flap pocket with magnetic snap and two Dior button details, a zip top closure at the mouth of the bag with a braided strap as zipper pull (strap is attached to other end of zipper), and held tight with the wraparound belt topped off with an oversized silver D that interlocks over bag front with a smaller D, and finished off with the removable orange rubber Dior tag that reads “Remove Before Flight”.

If you love the style of the East / West Flight bags but aren’t a fan of the shearling, then wander on over to Neiman Marcus and discover the winter White (calfskin) Dior Flight Bag. Sorry it’s not on sale, the price tag of the all white bag is $1,550.

The Christian Dior Updated Dior Homme classic flap messenger styled bag a best seller? You betcha via eluxury.

The Dior flap guy bag is covered with the grey on black ‘Dior’ logo coated canvas and finished with minimal amounts of brushed palladium finished hardware. The measurements of this bag are 12.5″ x 11″ x 3″ – I know judging by the picture that is, this bag looks pretty small, well get this, its big enough for a laptop. No wonder this bag is selling like mad, it retails for only $520.
I adore it.

The Dior Gaucho is made of supple calf leather (treated for a vintage feel) with lambskin links trim and contrast topstitching and topped off with an antiqued silver metal details like the vintage “1947″ Dior medallion and large key. What happened in 1947? Christian Dior’s reputation as one of the most important designers of the twentieth century was launched in 1947 with his very first collection.

This combination of vintage-ey western-like handbag will set you back a hefty $2,075. Imo I would get the (one size smaller) medium Dior Gaucho for $1,395 with the matching Dior Gaucho Double Face Wallet for $405 and with the remains $275 I would take my friends out to dinner.

Lookie below, among the dozens of celebrities and millions of handbag obsessed fashionista’s all over the fashion globe, Heidi Klum got her hands on the large Dior Gaucho. It’s the same bag pictured above, but in a different color.
