Anndra Neen Mirrored Gold Streak Alpaca Metal Box Clutch

Anndra Neen Mirrored Box Clutch
I don’t know a whole lot about Anndra Neen. However, what I do know is that this designer makes some very unique statement jewelry. Founders Phoebe and Annette Stephens take their inspiration from Egyptian motifs and Bauhaus graphics. Plus each piece is handcrafted by artisans in Mexico City using metal alloys such as alpaca silver. Beautiful! Never in my wildest dreams though did I think I would see a handbag from this designer. Did I miss something somewhere? When did Anndra Neen start making them? Oh well, it is a lovely surprise nonetheless and this particular piece has really caught my eye. Charlotte Olympia “Taurus” Zodiac Pandora Clutch

I’m definitely into the whole zodiac and horoscope thing. In fact, I follow it pretty religiously and I have an app on my phone about it. I’m a Leo and I’m so proud to be a Leo. We really are eccentric beings and we love being different. I mean, two of the most famous Leo’s are Jennifer Lopez and Madonna. My birthday is August 6th and it’s funny to know that one of my favorite comedic actresses, Lucille Ball, shared the same birthday as me.

Kate Spade “OFFWEGO” Road Trip License Plate Clutch

image: katespadeny
My husband and I went out to eat at the local rib place last week. Oddly enough, we go there together frequently. While we were there, I found myself staring at the old license plates decorating the walls. There were definitely some unusual personalized ones. I tried to picture the stories behind them. Obviously, the seemingly haphazard words meant something to someone at one time. And then I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be neat if you could take some old license plates and make something out of them? You can probably guess what that something would be too! Unfortunately, I don’t think I am crafty enough for that. However, I did find a piece that looks somewhat like my vision. Introducing the Kate Spade “OFFWEGO” Road Trip License Plate Clutch!

Charlotte Olympia Box Office Pandora Perspex Clutch

Charlotte Olympia Pandora Perspex clutch
Who doesn’t love Hollywood glam? And for that matter, who doesn’t love movies? Nothing captures the imagination like the big screen! Well, it seems Charlotte Olympia couldn’t agree more with that statement. Her line has always been inspired by a bygone era of old Hollywood glamour. But her latest collection has taken this inspiration one step further. Hollywood glitz and glamour has suddenly taken on a more literal sense. Check out the Charlotte Olympia Box Office Pandora Perspex Clutch, for example. I think you will see what I mean!

This lovely clutch has the classic Pandora styling. There are two hinged halves that fasten together on top. Inside you will find the usual detachable zippered pouch. What makes this particular style so interesting is the design on the exterior. The clear perspex features a gold-tone metal adornment that resembles the outline of a film strip. I don’t think you can get anymore literal than that!

The look is certainly different and it would make a great conversation piece. I don’t think you necessarily need a Red Carpet-ready ensemble either. A simple little black dress would pair quite nicely with this piece. It would provide an excellent showcase, emphasizing and calling attention to the gold-tone film strip.

Clare Vivier Basketweave Oversized Flat Clutch
I have a thing for clutches and if money were no option my closet would be full of them. I was able to score two of the Marc Jacobs clutches that were sold at Target and Neiman Marcus for their designer collaboration during the holidays. I use them both non-stop and what I love about clutches is that you can use them so many ways. Sometimes I store all my makeup in them, important papers, different nail polishes or I carry my essentials in them for the day. They’re so versatile and that’s why the Clare Vivier “Basketweave” Oversized Flat Clutch. Basketweave looks pretty on just about any accessory but the color is also gorgeous. Rebecca Minkoff Owen Envelope Clutch

Woven leather handbags have been around for such a long time. Much longer than I have even been alive. Some designers have even gone as far as making it their signature look (Bottega Veneta, anyone?). I have admired many woven leather handbags over the years. But after awhile, woven leather was feeling kind of old to me. I was over it. Then I saw this gorgeous piece you see pictured here. Suddenly the look didn’t seem so old anymore. Not when it looks as fresh as this piece does! Introducing the Rebecca Minkoff Owen Envelope Clutch!

Primary New York by Cleo Schroeder ‘Block’ Python Clutch

Has anyone ever heard of Primary New York? I never have, but I stumbled upon the brand today and thought it was worth a closer look. They are pretty new to the handbag world. Designer Cleo Schroeder is the name behind the brand. She is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia and she began her career in costume design. In 2007, she decided to attend Parsons School of Design in New York. This is where she stayed and launched her first collection under the Primary name in 2011. It isn’t clear whether the first collection included handbags or if those were added later. What is clear is her love for simplicity and high contrast in her designs. That is what caught my eye when I saw the Primary New York Color Block Python Clutch!
