Charlotte Olympia Pandora Matryoshka Wooden Clutch

This might sound a little strange, but I have always loved Matryoshka dolls. I think my fascination began when I saw one inside the house of a childhood friend. Her mother was Russian, so she had a lot of nicknacks from her own childhood sitting around the house. I remember the doll well. Her hair was black and her dress had red and white flowers. The hand painted details were exquisite. I so badly wanted to open her up to see the other dolls nested inside. As adorable as Matryoshka dolls can be (I’ve seen them with practically every theme imaginable), it has never crossed my mind that one could form the foundation of a clutch. Well, until I saw this piece you see pictured here. Introducing the Charlotte Olympia Pandora Matryoshka Wooden Clutch!

Now I’m not saying a clutch should be shaped like an actual Matryoshka doll. That might be a little too cutesie. That’s why I like this piece. It is a plain wooden box clutch with a simple clasp that is painted to look like the head of a doll. She is so cute, I just love her sweet little smile! For a little added interest, however, this clutch also features a bright floral print pouch. The pouch can go inside the clutch or it can be used by itself. I love how the pouch comes complete with a signature Charlotte Olympia spider web zipper pull. What an unexpected surprise it must be to open this adorable clutch only to find this adorable pouch inside!

Uhm, doesn’t look like it can fit much in there. Probably just a couple cards and a cellphone.

If this was 1/2 that price than definitely. Maybe I’ll stock the sale section.

This is different, but in my opinion that doesn’t justify the price. It’s sure cute, but sure expensive. And I’ve never heard of this brand.
