Whiting & Davis “Liquid” Chain Fringe Clutch

Even though I don’t own many of them, I really love evening bags especially clutches. To me, they can really add sparkle to any evening outfit. I mean face it, there are some spectacular evening clutches out their by Judith Leiber and Swarovski. There are also beautiful evening bags that are priced more reasonably, like the Whiting & Davis “Liquid” Chain Fringe Clutch.

Obviously, it’s very hard to beat any clutch from Swarovski and Judith Leiber but Whiting & Davis did an amazing job creating a gorgeous clutch for an affordable price. First, anything fringe always has a sense of 20′s fashion to it, and mixed with the metal-mesh gives it a more modern look.

I personally think clutches should be carried in your hand, but for those that want an option the bag does come with a detachable chain strap. Most clutches these days do have a detachable chain strap but whats the point in calling in a clutch if it has a strap. I do agree it’s always better when a bag can be carried 1-of-2 ways, but I always believed clutches should just be carried. A gorgeous dress is always complimented best with a hand clutch, but of course that’s just my opinion.

All in all, I love the “Liquid” clutch and for such a reasonable price you can’t go wrong!

The Whiting & David “Liquid” Chain Fringe Clutch can be purchased at ShopBop at $185.

This is a really old label. It amazes me how you can find the exact same style at antique malls for under $5.

Is this bag made of metal-mesh? Uhm, not sure how I feel about that.

This brand has been around since 1876. Not only do they have their own label, most of the time they do metal mesh for some of the other big label designers. I remember my grandmother having one.
I own a hobo bag from W&D and get a ton of compliments anytime that I wear it. You don’t want to wear these bags if you don’t want to be notice.
