Coach Juliette Metallic Hobo Purse
From the debut of a few pricey pieces here and there, it looks like Coach is trying to step out of their league and compete with high-end handbag designers, therefore achieving exclusivity on some of their products. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve noticed that within the past year or so, Coach has increased their prices to the point where many of their bags are now comparable in cost to designers like Louis Vuitton. One example is the new Juliette Metallic Hobo, which is a “modern take on a timeless design” featuring woven silver leather detailing…and priced at $1100.
Honestly, I would never blow my bag budget on a Coach bag, and especially not this one. Don’t get me wrong because there are plenty of bags that I like by Coach, and I own a few by them. And I am somewhat of a fan of their new Juliette Hobo bag. But $1100 for THIS? I don’t see where they got the idea that this bag is worth that high price. I can somewhat understand their $3000 Python Satchel since genuine skins are used, but there is nothing special or magnificent about THIS bag. Ok, so there are some woven details here and there…but so what? I mean if I specifically wanted a handbag with those details, for a few hundred dollars more I could snag a precious piece from the designer God of all woven purses, Bottega Venetta, for example. So, what do you think about the new Juliette Hobo by Coach?
