New At Coach: The Mia Collection

When it comes to affordable handbags, Coach is at the top of my list. The company has taken their handbags in a new direction over these last few years and it has been so much fun seeing them take on a completely new look. Coach handbags now have this aura about them. It is youthful, yet sophisticated. And it looks like Coach is continuing to head in this direction with their latest collection for Fall 2010. Introducing the new Mia Collection!

This lovely new collection is composed of simple, yet structured shapes accented with military-inspired blazer button hardware. And as far as fabrications go, the Mia Collection has a little something for everyone… from signature prints to leather, even this new (and super cute) Ocelot print! So far, I am liking everything I see! I love how these bags are understated, modern, and chic. Plus they are available in colors that will be perfect for Fall! Check out my favorite pieces from this collection below!

Coach Poppy Pop C Overnight Satchel

I’ve always dealt with the problem of if I should or shouldn’t invest on a designer luggage piece since I do travel, but not very often. Every time I get the urge to finally give into a designer travel piece, I reconsider it and settle for a bag that I could use everyday instead.

I recently spotted a newbie to the All American brand of Coach; it’s an Overnight Satchel in the funky and popular print of Pop Poppy. I’ve always admired the fun colors of the Poppy line but was never sure if I could actually carry a handbag in the pattern, but spotting this oversized satchel for travel I can most definitely work with that.

Back to School with Designer Backpacks!

I know it is a little early to be thinking about school. After all, it seems like summer has just begun. But with all these new designer backpacks floating around out there, I thought I would give this post a go. When I think of designer backpacks though, I typically think of Juicy Couture. However, this most recent outbreak of designer backpacks doesn’t seem to include a single piece from the velour-loving company. But that certainly doesn’t mean that what I found wasn’t just as playful and fun! Some of these backpacks, however, are also down-right kiddie looking. So I’m warning you now, these babies aren’t for everybody. They would be perfect though for the little bagista in your life that is heading off to middle school or high school this fall. I tried to include a little something for everyone though. And in a variety of price ranges! So maybe, just maybe, someone who is a little bagista at heart might find something they like as well! Check them out below!

Wear It 3 Ways: The Coach Alexandra Collection

Here at Bag Bliss, we are no strangers to convertible handbags. I mean, who doesn’t like to have options? Over the years, I have written about many handbags that could be worn in more than one way. And with each new style, I am amazed by the designer’s creativity. But what about a convertible handbag that isn’t all that ingenious?

Check out these Coach Alexandra bags. They can be worn 3 different ways as either a satchel, a crossbody bag, or a shoulder bag. And all of this was achieved through a very simple design. Sure the concept isn’t anything new, but these are still some very nice looking bags!

They are so sleek and classic-looking, the ideal basic handbag. Plus they come in a variety of fabrications. Choose from signature print fabrics (Op Art anyone?), croc-embossed leather, or Coach’s new Cervo Lux leather in a rainbow of colors. My thoughts?

Hot Summer Style: Neutral Handbags

Summer is here! And with warm weather comes bright colors! Er… right? While I do love my fuchsia F+C Mini City, I think I might be ready to try something new for Summer 2010. I heard that neutrals were supposed to be really hot this year, so I figured why not. And with that, I was off to check out all the neutral handbags this season has to offer. And do you know what I found? A wide variety of styles in everything from clean off-whites to touchable taupes. If there was ever a such thing as a “neutral rainbow”, this season definitely has it! Below I have listed some great neutral picks, so check them out and see what you think!

Coach ‘Poppy Is Glam’ Tote

Its official, Team Coach has hired some poets to join their design team. From observing the finishing product, I’m not sure what to think about the “Poppy Is Glam” tote. Sure it’s creative, and some bagista’s don’t mind carrying scribbles and logos on their handbags. But somehow, I don’t see much artistic feel to this tote; it appears to look more like a cut-magazine-letters-and-paste-on-a-bag, project. When you’re carry a tote with letters around, you’re bound to attract some readers, and the poetic inscription of “Poppy is a girl, is a flower, is a state of mind, Poppy is now and forever, Poppy is love I am Poppy”, isn’t necessarily the brightest statement most would want to advertise.

Coach Poppy Floral Graffiti Bella Tote

There is a mixture of punky, prep, romance and street vibe in All-American brand Coach’s latest, the Bella Tote. This piece is featured in the Poppy Floral Graffiti line, which is either a hit or miss for you depending on your taste and age group. I don’t like to compare two very different name brand parties to each other, as far as having similar ideas in their collection, as I like to believe that each designer brand storms up their very own ideas. This line is indeed funky and fresh, but the oversized printed floral design along with graffiti tagging throughout the background of this bag is not such a fresh idea, considering the fact that French House Louis Vuitton presented the Roses and Graffiti concept for their Stephen Sprouse collection, last year.

Introducing: Coach Kristin Drawstring Bag

coach handbags: Introducing: Coach Kristin Drawstring Bag
If you are on Coach‘s mailing list like I am, then you probably received an e-mail a few days ago telling you to check out the new Kristin Collection.

I don’t know about you, but I have been glued to Coach’s official website ever since that e-mail arrived in my mailbox. The entire collection has really piqued my interest, I like the pretty colors and all the new shapes. In fact, the whole collection really puts me in the mood for Easter!

There are several styles within the Kristin Collection that seem to be calling my name, but I think my favorite has to be the Coach Kristin Rouched Leather Drawstring Hobo.
