Sunday November 1st the limited edition Carlos Falchi bag collection will hit your neighborhood Target, and will also be available at a click of a mouse away online. Be prepared for all the favorites to get snatched up first! If you’re not there within hours of the doors opening (online as well) you may find that some inventory will sell out fast.

The capsule collection includes his signature hobos, bags, messengers and satchels with prices ranging from $19.99 to $49.99 (compare that to the $1,000-$4,000 for his high-end line). The bags will be slightly less extravagant as his high-end line, which means of course don’t expect to see any of his signature exotic bags there, but rather all synthetic. The line will feature his classic design looks, only made with faux-snake, in jewel tones of teal and purple and also shades of greys, browns and blacks.

Undoubtedly the bags will be amazing. The Brazilian-born designer has been designing breathtaking bags for over 3 decades and is well known for his signature handbags and use of exotic skins, fine leathers and vibrant color combinations.

Louis Vuitton Monogramouflage Jasmine
As most of you bagista’s already know, Marc Jacobs and Takashi Murakami once again impress the fans of French couture brand Louis Vuitton with an artistic collaboration like no other. Their latest unique and hip design is no longer a secret to the world of fashion and is now available to its consumers via the Internet! That’s right fashionista’s, head on over to eLuxury (dot com) now, and pick up one of the latest pieces of the Monogramouflage line before they’re gone! Even before this line was released to the public, I got mixed impression by Vuitton fans via forums and fashion critics. It seems like everybody either likes the combination of Camo and Vuitton’s signature logo, or they simply dislike the line all together. Take for example the Jasmine pictured above. When I read what the Monogramouflage design would look like, I never imagined I could have found interest in the design at all. Once I got a visual image of what the line looked like, I liked it. Also, like most Vuitton bags, I’m pretty sure the Monogramouflage pieces are a lot more impressive in person rather than in the stock photos that most only glimpse at. So how do you ladies feel about this line, and most importantly, would you wear a piece of Monogramouflage?

Special Edition Hermes Kelly Bag: Proceeds to fight Aids in Monaco
Brief History: It all began in the 1880′s, when the legendary house began as making saddles under the name of Hermes-Freres. Then by the 1920′s Hermes introduced their first line of ladies handbags.

In 1956 while pregnant with Princess Caroline, Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco was photographed in New York City by Life Magazine carrying the large black crocodile Kelly bag, which was used to cover her pregnant tummy. After this image appeared on the cover of Life Mag, the bag became a hit and was later renamed the Kelly bag.

Hermes created a limited edition Kelly bag for Artcurial’s annual Hermes vintage sale, featuring a portrait of Grace Kelly printed on canvas.

Guess how much the bag sold for… $80,906, with all proceeds from the sale of the bag going to Princess Grace’s daughter Princess Stephanie’s charity Fight Aids Monaco.

Who doesn’t love Ed Hardy T-shirts? Lot’s of celebrities like Madonna and Carrie Underwood have been seen wearing one of Christian Audigier’s tattoo-inspired creations. And Brittney Spears? She’s an Ed Hardy fanatic! (hehe… not that too many people care what Brittney is doing nowadays)

I actually like Ed Hardy’s T-shirts as well. I’m not completely wacky over them, but I do own a few who’s designs caught my eye. So when I heard that Ed Hardy had handbags, I was definitely curious. A bag with tattoos on it? Hmm… my first thought was that I hoped they would not resemble Dooney’s disastrous Tattoo collection. Does anyone remember those? Hearts with “MOM” on them. Ugh! I needed to see for myself exactly what the Ed Hardy handbags were like, so I made my way over to their official website. Here’s what I found: The Sylvia Bag is Red Stripe.

Now some of the Ed Hardy bags, I’ll have to admit, are not particularly attractive. And some even resemble Thomas Wylde designs… only in a bad way. But this Sylvia bag caught my eye because of its bright colors and beautiful flower design. It wouldn’t be a bag for every day, of course. But it would be pretty cute out on the beach or just as a casual summer tote.

All Ed Hardy handbags are made of heavy canvas and trimmed with genuine leather. The prices range from $69 for a clutch to $275 for a large bag. You can check them out at the official Ed Hardy website

The Limited Louis Vuitton Fabrizio Plessi Epi Bag

The Limited Louis Vuitton Fabrizio Plessi Epi Bag
Earlier this month Louis Vuitton opened up their new largest flapship store over in Hong Kong. For the new store, artist Fabrizio Plessi (a pioneer in video art in Europe), decorated Hong Kong’s new store with huge LED screens that feature molten gold cascading along side golden fixtures & walls. That’s not all for Fabrizio Plessi. The artist even collaborated with LV to create the Plessi digital bag (pictured above). Done in black epi leather, the bag has an LCD screen showing images of the same molten gold image through a cutout LV logo.

This bag is obviously a collectors item, reserved for only the rich and famous. This purse retails for (get ready,) a staggering $50,000 (us).

If your average purse budget can’t afford this limited edition style, don’t get your hopes up, Louis Vuitton has the almost identical Sac Plat tote in black Epi for only $1,290 over @ eluxury
Louis Vuitton Fabrizio Plessi Epi Bag
… I really do mean almost identical. Pretty much it’s the same Louis Vuitton sac plat minus being touched by Fabrizio and featuring the LCD screen, also of course the price is hugely different.

I really like the Sac Plat style. It’s a great everyday style. It’s the orginal shopping companion. The Sac Plat was created back in 1968, it was the first bag by Louis Vuitton dedicated to shopping. The size measures in at 14.3″ x 14.9″ x 3.5″. Which is ideal for shopping. Who wants a bulgy bag getting in their way?

For more information on the video art Plessi bag contact Hong Kong’s Canton Road location @ (852)8100.1182

Limited Edition Gap Mulberry Roxanne Bag

The Gap Mulberry Roxanne Bag
Limited Edition Gap Mulberry Roxanne Bag
Katie Grand for luxury designer handbag brand Mulberry recently partnered up with Gap to recreate a new version of Mulberry’s iconic Roxanne bag for the Gap (PRODUCT) RED collection.

Katie Grand on the collaboration: “Throughout my adult life I have seen the effects of AIDS at close hand,” says Katie, “So to be asked to curate this project with Gap and (RED) has been an honor and a privilege. It’s not very often you get the chance to take designers from fashion’s more exclusive areas and make them accessible to a wider audience through a high-street icon.”

Basically it’s the same Roxanne-style minus the (quality) Mulberry materials. Instead the bag has been reworked in sweatshirt jersey. Color choices, it will be available in both red and gray versions.

On December 1st the bag was first released in the UK and Paris to commemorate World AIDS Day, and in this past weekend the bag was launched in the US, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

On the thumbs up side, 50% of the profits will be donated towards Gap’s (PRODUCT) RED campaign, a Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.

If you’re looking to get this bag in time for Valentine’s day, you will need to head on over to NYC Gap store located at 680 5th Ave at 54th St. to get your Mulberry-Gap Roxanne Bag. Exclusive at this location.
