As we all know, I’m a huge Rebecca Minkoff fan. She’s one of my Top 3 favorite designers and everything she designs is flawless to me. One of my favorite designs by her is the “Pouch”. It’s simple, the colors it comes in are always pretty and the sayings featured on them are always adorable! As today is Sunday, May 12, which happens to be Mother’s Day I ran into the “Hot Momma” Pouch on Neiman Marcus and I thought it would be appropriate to write about. I may not to be a Mother, well I did adopt a cat seven years ago but that’s besides the point, but I do think this pouch is the perfect gift for someone that is or about to be. If I had seen this pouch before Mother’s Day I probably would have bought it for my Mom! Every Mom wants to be told they’re hot and what Mom doesn’t need a gorgeous little pouch to carry with them every single day?
Has anyone ever heard of MOYNA New York? I stumbled across some pieces from this designer recently and… what can I say? My interest was definitely piqued by these delightful little pieces! In particular, I’m really liking the MOYNA Beaded Pouches you see pictured here. They are just so cute and they have captured my imagination. I decided I needed to know more about this designer. What I found out was somewhat surprising.
Pink is one of my favorite colors and Rebecca Minkoff is one of my favorite designers. Put the two together and you might just have the prettiest combination ever. Over the holidays, I popped into a Bloomingdales in Miami and I fell in love with the Rebecca Minkoff pouches primarily because they were pink and had cute sayings on them. They were a darker shade of pink so I didn’t purchase any of them though. However, I’m absolutely in love with the “Lissa” Secret Stash Pouch. It’s my favorite shade of pink and the “Secret Stash” saying on it is oh-so-cute!
Light green is one of my favorite colors these days. Mint is probably my ultimate favorite shade of green but anything that is a light shade of green I’m a fan of. With that said, I fell in love with the Anya Hindmarch “Seymour” Pouch. The color of it is a beautiful color to carry around during the upcoming Spring season and the style of it is just plain awesome.
I’ve always been a fan of wristlet’s. Sometimes I’m just incredibly tired, or lazy, and I just don’t have the energy to carry around a big, heavy bag. Wristlet’s make life so much easier sometimes and give you the ability to only carry what you absolutely need. I have seen plenty of gorgeous wristlet’s at the stores but I don’t believe I’ve even seen one with a strap this big! It really makes the pouch stand out and it kind of looks like you have a big bracelet on with a bag hanging from it.
Samudra is the Sanskrit word for ocean. It literally means “gathering of the waters”. What name could possibly be more fitting for this beautiful line? Created by designer Jennifer Binney, Samudra uses colorful graphics to tell the stories of her distant travels and time spent at her home in Hawaii. The images are just so rich and unique, they make you want to do a double take. That’s why I was thrilled when I saw the Samudra Printed Canvas Pouches.

When I travel, I like to be as organized as possible. That way it anything is ever lost or missing, I know right away. I would say I most organized when it comes to my beauty essentials when traveling. I’m always afraid something is going to open and spill so I’m always extra careful. I’ve been looking for a case that would keep all my beauty essentials extra organized and I found the perfect one! The Anya Hindmarch Vanity Kit is the perfect accessory to help make traveling a little more neat.
This case is absolutely perfect! I love how there is a slot for every makeup brush you might own. For me, this is very important because all my brushes are by M.A.C and they cost a pretty penny. I carry them in a bunch now and if I had a case like this none of the brushes would ever go missing!
My favorite cosmetic bag got stolen two months ago while I was on set for a T.V. show that’s filming here in South Florida. Sadly, I didn’t even realize it until the next morning as I was getting ready to go on set for another show. Worst feeling ever when you have to film and realize that not only did your favorite makeup bag got stolen but so did all your brushes and makeup too. Needless to say, I had to replace over $500 in brushes and makeup. However, I still can’t find another makeup bag that was as pretty and spacious as my pink Juicy Couture one. Sigh, I suppose it could have been worse.
Put your Caboodles away and give into something a little more on the couture side. I recently ran into the Allison Cosmetic Case by Rebecca Minkoff, an attractive collaboration of a makeup bag and a travel piece. I never understood the concept of these type of accessories as they seemed fairly limited in space and oddly shaped versus your standard makeup pouch.
