Jessica Alba Style: Gryson IIIBeCa Duane Street Messenger Bag

Jessica Alba Joy Gryson IIIBeCa Duane Street Messenger Bag
We all know the handbag brand Gryson, but did you know about IIIBeCa? The handbag line was launched about a year ago by Joy Gryson. What I love about IIIBeCa bags is that not only are they affordable and incredibly chic but a portion of the proceeds are donated to three NYC nonprofits: 9/11 Memorial (911memorial.org), Family Focus Adoption Services (familyfocusadoption.org) and Memorial Sloan-Kettering (mskcc.org). Seriously, how cool is that?

Botkier Sky Mini Valentina Bag

For years, I was the girl that loved big handbags. I kid you not, for the longest time I carried half my dresser in my bag. Instead of putting just my essentials in my bag I carried all my makeup, makeup brushes, magazines, an agenda, two wallets, a hair brush, hair accessories, etc. You name it and I probably had it in my bag. Now that I’m older I’m much more minimal. The most I carry is my phone, a compact, a lip stick and my keys. With that said, I like smaller bags much better now. When you don’t carry much with you on a daily basis a bigger bag is pointless. Smaller bags keep all my essentials organized and I don’t have to go searching for anything.

I’m obsessed with the color mint and I believe it to be one of the most beautiful colors in the world. Mint is also a beautiful and perfect color to wear during the Spring. Just yesterday, I was at a certain department store and found a pair of mint heels. I kid you not, it was love at first sight and I immediately asked the guy for my size as soon as I saw them. Of course they didn’t have my size and my heart was broken for about an hour. I’m dying for a pair of mint heels and I won’t stop until a pair is mine!

Rebecca Minkoff Craig Camera Bag

Rebecca Minkoff Craig
I don’t know if this is necessarily a new trend, but I have noticed a lot of camera bag-inspired pieces floating around lately. Weird question… but do people actually use these bags as camera bags? I have always wanted a camera bag, but I really want to use it as a camera bag. The bags you find at the camera store are all really ugly. That is why I am really liking this sudden surge of camera bags from some of my favorite designers. I really love the one you see pictured here. Introducing the Rebecca Minkoff Craig Camera Bag!

Lanvin Happy Mini Pop Crossbody Bag

Lanvin Happy Mini Pop Bag
How beautiful is this bag? I absolutely love the petite design combined with the jewelry-like chain strap. I recently started collecting Lanvin jewelry and I can’t get enough of it (I posted my latest piece on my instagram feed.) I love the chain strap with the ribbon detailing woven throughout, it’s very reminiscent of Lanvin’s jewelry line. And there’s more to this bag that I love besides the stunning statement strap, the body of the bag is made of multidirectional topstitch quilted calfskin. I for one love Lanvin’s leather – I have been saying this for YEARS – Lanvin leather is such a big deal. It’s soo soft! I have one Lanvin handbag in my collection and I absolutely love that bag to death. I’ve had it for a few years now and it has remained in amazing condition, the quality is there.

Gucci Soho Disco Tassel Bag

Gucci Soho Disco Bag
I started this bag blog a little over 8 years ago and it’s interesting to me when I go back and read my old posts and see how trends and my opnions on bags have changed. Just last year around this time I was raving about how much I was obsessed with big handbags and the convenience of being able to carry everything I need for the day in one handbag (like an ipad, notepads, wallet, etc) however in recent months I’ve been favoring the smaller handbag look.

Moschino Quilted Colorblock Bag. Classic Elegance.

My favorite colors at the moment are mint and pink or anything that’s pretty close to the colors too. As I’ve written non-stop in previous blogs, my favorite color combination is black and gold. Anything fashion wise that’s black and gold is always flashy and gorgeous looking. Now my second favorite color combination is mint and pink. The colors are so light, soft and look beautiful together! If you’re a girly girl like me, you might just love the two colors together too!
