3.1 Phillip Lim Edie Bow Velvet Bag

You may remember the obsession I had with the 3.1 Phillip Lim Edie Studded Bow Bag last summer (read about it here). I just love the style and the price isn’t too bad either! The abstract bow detailing on the front flap and the pointy, cone-shaped studs give the bag such a unique look! The bag is still available over at Net-A-Porter and it is still calling to me! But there has been a recent addition to the Edie family and it is now calling me as well!

Meet the 3.1 Phillip Lim Edie Bow-Embellished Velvet Bag!

As you can see, the style has been given a “slight” makeover. The strap has been slimmed down and it is now adorned with a single row of studs along its entire length. The bow at the front was left plain, with studs only at its center. Most dramatic, however, was the exchange of leather for a gorgeously textured velvet! So pretty and perfect for the holiday season! What I like most about this bag though is the color. When you think of holiday velvets, you typically think of red or black. This soft purple color is so unexpected! You get the luxurious feel of velvet without feeling like you’re Mrs Clause. Sorry Santa!
