Bag Snob x DKNY: Out Now + My Very Own Treasure!

You have got to love the power of the social networking! It seemed like just yesterday, I was typing up one of the juiciest accounts to hit both fashion world and handbag editorials. Today, the collection has arrived! Let’s recap the dealings from last season:

Bag Snob Blogger Tina Craig tweets an offense that was heard around DKNY headquarters. She was simply doing her job of critiquing the smooshy and extra-pleated designs of the Eldridge bag by Donna Karan. Craig’s tweet, which stated that the bag resembled a sea creature, caught the attention of DKNY PR. On the defensive line, DKNY personnel tweeted back “Haven’t you ever taken a picture of yourself that just doesn’t do you justice?” Through the keyboard jabs emerged a discussion which lead to the proud collaboration between Bag Snob x DKNY. Can you say winners on both sides? It was the DKNY firm that provided the production but the Bag Snob women who composed the designs, incorporated by their love of handbags and with real-deal bagista fundamentals in mind.

The Five Essentials is the name of the collection, and as it declares, the collaboration consists of five stylish pieces that every woman should include in her possession. The Clutch, The Treasure, The Travel, The Trendy and The Tote. The fabulous five arrive ultra chic, adorned with the perfect amount of color which can be effortlessly carried throughout many seasons, and most importantly, checkbook friendly as the price tags range between $265-$565.

I am delighted to share my very generous gift on behalf of the DKNY PR Team… my very own Treasure! This is the perfect model of feminine meets modernism. The Treasure arrives ready for the season with its featured pale-gold hardware and with the hottest comeback trend at the moment, color blocking! An attractive array of blacks, grays, nude and lipstick red; who would have known color blocking and croc print at once would look so good! I will now input my two-cents as the worst that could happen, as we know it, is a collaboration with a different party! We want to see more color combinations in the future. Other than that, fantastic duet and a big thank you to DKNY, as this piece is a true stunner!

The BagSnob x DKNY Five Essentials Collection is available for purchase via DKNY, and here’s a tip on how you can score a freebie of your own. DKNY is featuring a contest for a $200 American Express Gift card, as well as a giveaway for a Bag Snob x DKNY The Clutch in festive of the Collections launch. The Clutch valued at $265, features a grey leather body and a glamorous front flap closure adorned in two-toned (navy blue to silver) sequins! To enter, you must do so now through November 15th at any DKNY location (U.S. & U.K) or via DKNY.

I was thinking about getting this bag, but I’ve never purchased from them before. They don’t exactly have the best resale value.

Didn’t DKNY useto retail in the $200 range?? I always thought they were in the same market as Kenneth Cole, Nine West and all those other lower end brands.
