Halston Zai Messenger Bag
The sling messenger bag has been very popular with the younger girls recently. Well, at least where I live they have been. I hadn’t paid much attention to them since they were not a style that would interest me. Especially since they tend to be inexpensive and constructed of fabric. Well I was browsing around on the Net-A-Porter website today and I stumbled across this bag. Meet the Halston Zai Messenger Bag. The bag is made of brown suede and it looks as though a good deal of care is put into the bag’s construction. When I first saw this bag, I was thinking it would compliment a Boho-Chic look nicely. But then I saw the price tag and I was floored! This is a bag that resembles a potato sack and yet it retails for nearly $2,500. I’m sorry, but even if I was into the whole Boho-Chic thing, I wouldn’t dream of spending that amount of money on such an overly simple bag. Certainly one could find a similar bag for much less money. And then they wouldn’t feel so bad when this trend is laid to rest.

The Halston Zai Messenger Bag is unstructured and oversized. It measures 11″ x 13″ x 12″ and has a 15″ strap drop. Inside you’ll find a matching suede pouch, perfect from keeping your little things from getting lost in the abyss. It retails for $2,495 (yikes!).

Way too hippy-chic for my taste.

This is just a plain hobo. I can get my sewing machine out and whip one up in 15 min!

I thought hobo chic was suppose to be an inexpensive look with a cheap price tag?

Mayle? This bag looks like it would fit in perfectly with the current Mayle handbag line. Difference, obviously the price tag!

Maybe just class up the style a little bit. Like with this adorible Linea Pelle shoulder bag:

similar style, but classy and sophisticated. Little girls can wear it, but so can a mature fashion foward woman.
