Kenneth Cole New York Freeze Frame Pleated Satchel
Not much is said about Kenneth Cole Handbags over at TBF. I suppose I can understand why. Afterall, whenever I think of Kenneth Cole, I think of either shoes or jewelry. In fact, handbags are the furthest thing from my mind. But you know what? After inspecting a few handbags from Kenneth Cole, I have discovered they really aren’t all that bad. And the fact that they are relatively inexpensive could be a plus factor for someone on a budget. Take, for example, the Kenneth Cole New York Freeze Frame Pleated Satchel. It has both a classic shape and some nice-looking pleats. In addition, the interior of this bag is pretty cool. It has a framed compartment in the center with an open compartment on either side. The only thing that I don’t like about this bag is its handles. They have a broken appearance as opposed to a smooth, clean one. Personally, I think they are distracting. Perhaps solid wood or resin handles would have been a better choice. Or, at the very least, continuous pieces of leather without all that hardware. What does everyone else think?

The Kenneth Cole New York Freeze Frame Pleated Satchel is available in three different colors: Poppy, Orange, or Black. It measures 15.5″ x 10″ x 7.5″ and it retails for a reasonable $398.

This bag would be even more cute without the handles. Tuck them in maybe? This would make one cute oversized clutch.

For a brand that’s not really known for handbags, I actually like this one.

I really don’t know how I feel about this one. I’m really 50/50. I love the pleated details, but the handles look cheap to me. But I really love the gold yellow color. However, that price? Right now I would rather shop the sale section of TJMAXX for a similar style.

How much???!! Sorry, but that seems like way too much money for a Kenneth Cole bag.

Nice purse, but I don’t really like the straps all that much.

Okay, I have seen and held this bag, and here’s my opinion: I love the inside, I think the concept is genius. It’s super soft leather, yet a very sturdy bag. But the handles are atrocious. I didn’t buy it becuase of the handles. But I would have paid 250 for it, not the 400 listed here.
