Would You Wear This? Maison Martin Margiela Reflector-Embellished Leather Clutch
Something really caught my eye today while I was browsing around the Net-A-Porter website. I want you all to meet the Maison Martin Margiela Reflector-Embellished Leather Clutch! This is such an intriguing piece. From a distance, this rectangular clutch simply glistens with what appears to be a mosaic of ruby red stones. Wouldn’t that look gorgeous paired with a little black dress? But wait just a minute! There is definitely more here than meets the eye! That’s when I read the words “reflector-embellished” again.
Reflector? Wait… as in the kind you put on your bicycle? As a matter of fact, yes! This leather clutch is actually covered with broken pieces of acetate reflectors. Well, that certainly wasn’t what I was expecting! I mean, what does one make of such an unusual material adorning a handbag? And all of this coming from a designer that is normally known for their minimalistic designs. Maison Martin Margiela, what the heck happened? So that just leaves me with one last question to ask. So let’s hear it ladies, would you wear this clutch? Whatever your answer though, there’s no arguing this this certainly is an interesting piece! It would definitely make a great showstopper!
The Maison Martin Margiela Reflector-Embellished Leather Clutch can be found at Net-A-Porter!

What an oddball clutch. I love it. It inspires me to try and make my own with broken reflector pieces!
No way. This is not a very pretty purse.
I love this! It’s so different from like anything else out there!!
Such a unique clutch. Thanks for sharing.
Never in a million years.
Never in a billion years either. I could make that myself for much less. XD
Just give me that model’s dress and heels and I’ll be happy.
Yes, in a heartbeat! Margiela’s work is beyond beautiful than other boring garbage out there.
