All week this 35 year old model has been running around London with the one of the latest bags by Louis Vuitton. Dooney & Bourke Shiny Leather Hayden Clutch

Dooney & Bourke Shiny Leather Hayden Clutch
No offense to Dooney & Bourke, but their designs have been so far off the handbag radar lately that they might as well not even exist. Why? Well, quite frankly, they are just plain ugly. Plus they are way too kiddie looking for the hardcore bagista. I understand that the company wanted to explore other markets, but why not make some normal looking bags that adults can appreciate? So when the original Hayden bag was first introduced, everyone at TBF was surprised by how non-Dooney like it was. Of course it wasn’t a show stopper by any means, but it was way better than the bag Emma Roberts designed! And now it looks like our friend Hayden Panettiere has gotten her creative juices flowing again. Meet the Shiny Leather Hayden Clutch. It’s not too bad looking, in my opinion, for a Dooney bag. But I can’t picture myself actually buying it. I like the shape and the contrasting trim. But what it up with the lion head? Apparently it is meant to represent Hayden’s astrological sign (Leo) and it’s 24kt gold-plated too boot! Personally, I would prefer the clutch without such an embellishment.

The Shiny Leather Hayden Clutch is available in Royal Blue, Red, Fuchsia, Purple, Ivory, and Black. It retails for $295. Find it at Dooney.com. You can also find Dooney & Bourke at Macy’s

Harajuku Lovers Bishoujo Athletic Bag
Any Harajuku Lovers in here? We’re all familiar with Gwen Stefani’s fun and affordable pieces. Meet one of the latest styles made especially for her line, the Bishoujo Athletic Girls in red. Gwen’s Harajuku Lovers line isn’t something extremely popular, or at least it isn’t in my area. Occasionally, I’ll sight a tote or two at my local mall, but the smaller accessories such as the makeup bags and coin pouches are a lot more popular to spot around. Gwen directs this piece to you gals who want to break a sweat with style without having to splurge so much on a gym bag. The cute Bishoujo girl’s attire of choice is her workout outfit, which isn’t too flattering if you ask me. A deep red canvas and an actual whistle can be found on this nicely sized tote. I love the $58 price tag, which is pretty reasonable in my opinion. Would I spend that much on this tote? Probably not. It really isn’t something I could see myself using. If I were looking for an affordable tote bag with a cute character on it, I think Miss. Marc (MbMJ line) would win my vote over a Harajuku girl, any day. What do you girls think? Would you sport this tote?

Fergie’s Handbag Line for Kipling
Fergie’s Handbag Line for Kipling
Fergie is definitely one of the more stylish stars. Her look is unique, distinct, funky, fun, and never boring. Although, I have seen her make many fashion blunders, she has come to proven herself over the years. She may have even found her was as a fashionista, depending on who you ask. Her outfits are always very colorful and vibrant. Fergie has now branched over from just carrying around hot handbags, to designing handbags of her own for Kipling. The latest, Spring ’08 line of bags really represent Fergie’s fashion sense. They are loud, colorful, funky, and really stand out. They feature bright colors, different shapes and fergie type objects like dominoes. The bags range in price from $38 for a cosmetic bag to $158 for a large tote.

Now, I’m not a huge fan of these bags. I don’t hate them either. I think they are pretty cute. The price is pretty fair. They are big and roomy and good everyday, casual bags. What do you guys think? Do you think these bags are fergalicious? (sorry, corny I know, but I had to say it).

You can now find a lot of these bags on sale at Kipling.

LAMB Signature Hopewell Tote

LAMB Signature Hopewell Tote
LAMB Signature Hopewell Tote
Oh my dear Gwen, what have you done now? The Signature Hopewell Tote is a excellent example of the classic LAMB style. The signature print fabric, the stripe down the front, the little square buckle… yep, its a LAMB bag alright. But what is up with the lime green? And the ombre-style fading? And, on top of all that, the signature print?! Hmm…

So what can I say about this bag? I suppose the lime green does look alright (especially with that navy blue trim). The tote is roomy, with an expandable gusset. The rolled handles and easy-access snap opening are pluses as well. So why can’t I seem to love this bag? Is it the color? Or perhaps the color itself isn’t the problem… perhaps it is the fact that they paired the ombre with the signature pattern. No wait, I’ve got it! I think what this bag needs is to be made of patent leather rather than the printed fabric. Oh wouldn’t that look lovely? Lime green patent leather with the gradual fading going from top to bottom. What do you all think?

The LAMB Signature Hopewell Tote features:
* Double handles with 6″ drop
* Magnetic closure top
* Interior zippered pocket
* Two interior slip pockets
* Interior snap-closure pocket
* Measures 16″ x 9″ x 6″
* Retails for $525

LAMB goes Lux: adds Aston Black Label
Fresh designer news: Rocker turned designer, Gwen Stefani is expanding her designer L.A.M.B. bag collection, by adding an additional higher-end line. The lamb adorned signature bags, categorized under the Aston Black Label Line will feature a 30% markup from Lamb’s traditional first purse collection.

There will be eight styles available with style names such as the Lotus and Winston, the Aston bags feature special detailing such as layers of perforated and pebble-grain leather mixed with patent leather piping and suede strips, with black and gray striped lining, gunmetal hardware and matte black hangtags. The collection retails from $525 for a clutch to $1,495 for a limited edition carryall and is inspired by vintage British sports cars.

Gwen Stefani had this to say about the new Aston Black Label: “I love the designing process for the handbags. It’s always evolving and changing each season. This season I loved mixing different materials like leather and suede and then putting the L.A.M.B. twist on it….I look forward to expanding the L.A.M.B. brand even more.”

L.A.M.B. Camel Checkerboard Alston Tote

L.A.M.B. Camel Checkerboard Alston Tote
L.A.M.B. Camel Checkerboard Alston Tote.
When I first discovered the L.A.M.B. camel checkerboard Alston Tote, sadly another designer creation came to mind. Is it just me or does this checkerboard design somewhat resemble Louis Vuittons’ Damier collection, especially the summery theme of the Azur line? Also, the shape of this one by L.A.M.B. is similar to LVs’ Speedy bag but has some traits of the Berkeley bag such as the leather pieces on the bottom sides. Maybe it’s just me but this bag is completely tacky and is one that I would never wear. Sorry L.A.M.B., but Vuittons’ Azur line has by far already won me over…

I’ve seen plenty of gorgeous and classy bags by L.A.M.B. including the Glazed Love Lucca and Verona bags. But I was surprised to see the new Checkerboard line by them. I mean, instead of spending $575 on the Alston Tote, without question I’d rather just get an Azur Speedy from Louis Vuitton. If I saw someone with this bag and didn’t know who made it, I would have never guessed that it was a designer purse and cost THAT much. I wonder if these designs by L.A.M.B. are in fact inspired by LVs Damier collection. What do you think?

Lauren Conrad (for Linae Pelle) Does Cynthia Rowley

Lauren Conrad (for Linae Pelle) Does Cynthia Rowley
When MTV’s The Hills star Lauren Conrad was designing the latest collection for brand Linae Pelle, I wonder if she was inspired by Cythia Rowley’s designs or was it just a coincidence. Because I can’t help but notice the LC clutch looks quite similar to Cynthia Rowley’s Martha purse. These bags are pretty close to being considered identical, or at least belonging to the same family. Both oversized clutches are designed in a simple flap over clutch style and feature a thick gold chunky chain detail as the main focus.

The Cynthia Rowley purse is slightly longer by 4″, but both bags are the same width. Price wise, you can find the Cynthia Rowley designer bag at Shopbop for $195, or you can save a few dollars and snag the look-a-like Lauren Conrad Linae Pelle purse for $145 at LPcollection.

Cynthia Rowley gets my vote
