L.A.M.B. is one of my all time favorite designer brands. I was very against it in the beginning because I didn’t feel Gwen Stefani should be charging such high prices. She was new to the fashion game and I didn’t think her credibility as a designer was worth the price. She proved me wrong though and then slapped me in the face with all her beautiful pieces she started coming out with throughout the years.

Now, I’m absolutely in love with L.A.M.B. shoes and handbags. The shoes are always beautifully made with gorgeous detail. The handbags can be funky sometimes but they always comes out stunning whether they lean towards edgy or classy.

One of my favorite handbags of all time is the Louis Vuitton “Retro” bag. It was released when the Cherry Blossom and Eye Love collections were released in 2003. I wanted it so bad in the Pink Cherry Blossom but I was only 17 then, and it was kind of hard to convince my Mother I needed a bag that cost over $1,000. I never got the chance to get one but it still remains on my wish list.

When I spotted the Sara Berman “Kelly” Mini Tote my mouth dropped! It was literally the Louis Vuitton “Retro” in a smaller version and in a different color. I loved it, finally my dream bag was available in black and much more affordable.

So many briefcases these days are boring, black and look the same. It’s very hard to find one that’s unique but the Rebecca Minkoff “School Boy” Satchel looks like it could be a stylish briefcase.

When is comes to a casual everyday style, I love the look of a simple leather handbag. My favorites right now are those satchel-messenger styles that you see with big name designers. Some visual references for what I’m talking about would be Mulberry’s Alexa Bag and Proenza Schouler’s PS1 Satchel. They have this modern vintage feeling about them and they look great paired with jeans and a t-shirt. They are, in their own way, very iconic pieces. But in this mini quest of sorts, I have discovered that getting this great look doesn’t necessarily need to come in the form of a designer bag. Don’t get me wrong, I love the two handbags I mentioned above. However, they are rather expensive and my interest in this look may not survive the investment. Sometimes it’s always handy and fun to have a simple handbag. A bag that’s on the large side and that you can carry around on a daily basis. I know, for me personally, I love purses that I can use all year long especially if it was expensive. I feel like I got my money’s worth if it’s been used a lot.

The Martine Sitbon “Top and Front” Zipper Satchel is a perfect example of a handbag you could literally use with just about any casual outfit. It’s one of those bags that if you don’t like changing your handbag often, you could use it for a week straight and it would look fabulous with any outfit. I definitely get in those moods, when I’m constantly on the go and the last thing on my mind is switching my purse.
