Lizzie Fortunato began in 2002 when sisters Elizabeth and Kathryn Fortunato left home to attend college. Elizabeth created jewelry pieces in her spare time, while Kathryn marketed her creations to their college friends. Soon, they had their out little following on campus. It wasn’t until 2007, however, that Lizzie Fortunato was formally launched. The brand is best known for its jewelry featuring industrial and reclaimed materials. The pieces are gorgeous to say the least. But it turns out this brand makes clutches as well! Who knew? I stumbled across them today and found myself in total disbelief. I just love their whimsical designs! Take a look at the examples pictured below and you will see what I mean!
Lizzie Fortunato Buzz Safari Clutch. $375
Tan fabric embroidered with whimsical little bees on the front and black leather on the back. I love the stripes in the background too. It gives this clutch a slight touch of shabby chic.
Lizzie Fortunato Monet Safari Clutch. $375
Black fabric on the front and black leather on the back. I love the jumbo-sized flowers embroidered on the front. And, of course, I love the little bee. What I like is how the muted tones dress this clutch up a little more.
Lizzie Fortunato Front Row Clutch. $250
This clutch is made of soft nubuck, front and back. I love, love, love the foil animal designs. Not only are they cute, but the shimmering gold looks stunning against the black background.
