Rebecca Minkoff Sweetie Bag

Gosh darn it! I am still dreaming of a 3.1 Phillip Lim Edie Bow Bag. They sure are impossible to find now, aren’t they? Oh well, I suppose this will cheer me up. I stumbled across a bag that sort of reminds me of my dream bag today. It’s the Rebecca Minkoff Sweetie Bag!

Obviously, it is not a mirror image (I’m not saying Rebecca Minkoff copied 3.1 Phillip Lim or anything like that). The two bags do, however, share some similar characteristics that I find particularly desirable. They both have a large bow on the front, flap closure, studs, and an extra-long strap. The Rebecca Minkoff Sweetie Bag may not be my dream bag, but it is very cute nonetheless! It is small and, well, sweet. The rounded black studs on the black leather background makes for a great tone-on-tone look. Plus the tiny grommet trim is just too cute! I love the new leopard print lining and convertible chain strap (something Ms. Minkoff has been utilizing a lot in her designs lately). More of a party bag, this piece would be perfect for when you don’t want to carry a lot. It would look great paired with a party dress or your favorite girls’ night out ensemble!

Yep, Gosh darn it! regarding that 3.1 PHILLIP LIM EDDIE BOW BAG IN NATURAL LEOPARD. I have been dreaming and praying, dreaming and praying for that baby. I actually found one on Ebay, but I not sure about it.

This Rebecca Minkoff Sweetie Bag is also amazing, but not what dreams are made of. Thanks for the review.

The black chain strap looks great with the studs as well.

Is there anyway that this is going to be on sale. I’ve fallen in love with it but it’s a bit too pricey for me.

This bag is definitely adorable. I’ve lost interest in bow bags since I find them to be a bit too young for my taste. So I won’t see myself ever buying this gorgeous style any time soon. However it’s literally the one of the cutest bags Minkoff has made for her equally cute Fall collection of stunning bags. :3 I found out on Aster Alice that Minkoff has made two sizes of the Sweetie, a larger one for $350, and a smaller one for $330. I found that to be really interesting, kind of like how the Affair now comes in both small/medium and large sizes too.

Just check out RM’s own webstore and check out the “Online Exclusives” link and you’ll see she made a new Affair from her Spring/Resort 2012 line. This new Affair is most likely around the size of Jumbo Chanel flaps, I could be wrong. But it’s great for those girls who loved the Affair but preferred a bigger size. :)

Back to the Sweetie, I really love the black/black too, I just wonder how well the hardware ages over time? Will it chip and fade just like the gunmetal hardware? I heard this new HW is more “matte” this time compared to gunmetal which was shiny. I wonder!
