Stylist Simone Harouche knew she was on to something when she designed a handbag for Nicole Richie. The handbag was constructed of “found” vintage fabrics, making it very unique. It was an instant hit and everyone was asking where the handbag came from. So in 2009, Harouche launched her own handbag line called Simone Camille. Her first collections were much like the handbag she designed for Nicole Richie. She used vintage fabrics to create unique pieces. But in 2012, she decided to expand her focus by launching her “Skins” collection. These pieces still have a vintage-inspired vibe, but they are constructed of luxe leathers and suede instead! To tell you the truth, I am not terribly familiar with this designer. What I have seen though, I have really liked. Right now I am liking the piece you see here. Meet the Simone Camille Crescent Suede Bag!
This lovely suede hobo has a great bohemian look and feel. The long tassels rain down from the sides in a gorgeous fringe. If you look closely, you will see tiny button-like studs on the end of each strand. I love the braided drawstring closer and extra wide shoulder strap as well. And the color? The slate grey in suede is stunning! I can’t get enough of it! This would make a great handbag for the fall season and beyond.
